BTW, sorry for the delay but finishing my second manuscript.

It's now a 3 book contract with a 2 book option.

Outstanding! Are you free to give us any advance information?

All my best.

Re: The Combined DCU-Marvel Universe thread

Though I am not certain how well my Secret Six/Thunderbolts swap was received, I will venture to strike a similar vein: The Earth-777 version of the Suicide Squad/Task Force X. However, I am very much open to solicitation of your collective thoughts on the concept. I have to imagine Henry Gyrich and...

Re: Jab's Builds: The Fear Lords, Dark Man, DC's Thriller

so, are you gonna do the rest of the S men as well? Also, I'm with ya man. They start off with this awesome arc with the Red Skull and his whole new team of Mutant Hating supermen (Including an expy of Glorious Godfrey), and then they just vanish off the face of the planet in lieu of that stupid Ap...

Re: Jab's Builds: Great Beasts, Kkallakku, The Straw Man, Ny

I have to admit I have NO idea what Mystery Men is about either. Was it a parallel world type tale, like the Marvel NOIR miniseries? Or was it a retcon history, with Marvel creating heroes and villains supposedly active in the MU's Pulp Era?

Re: Jab's Builds: Red Sonja, Black Fox, Whizzer, Miss Americ

Re Miss America: Like most obscure, 2nd and 3rd tier Golden Age characters, her particular abilities varied almost from issue to issue, since whomever was assigned to the title that month just basically hacked it out; so she's been everything from a mini-flying brick to a woman who couldn't even rea...

Re: Jab's Builds: Red Sonja, Black Fox, Whizzer, Miss Americ

Miss America is actually a bit more effective than your write-up-in the last WWII era Invaders series, she manifests super-strength (or at least striking power) when angry or frightened; it fades quickly (sort of a super-adrenalin boost) but allows her to crack a stone bust in half with a punch and ...

Re: Jab's Builds: Beetle II, Roadkill, Fantastic Force, Madm

Already built and waiting to be posted :). I'm a bit ahead. Anyone know how strong or tough the Pantheon members were? Bios are vague, aside from Ajax. Ajax was strong and tough enough to hold his own against a calm version of the "Professor" Hulk, though I think the Prof was holding back against t...

Re: Jab's Builds: Conan, The Supremacists, Layla Miller

I was pretty meh towards Layla for a long time, but she steadily grew on me. I liked the fact that they actually explained how she knew stuff by forcibly downloading it into her younger self's brain and then walking off while child-her just twitched and drooled a bit. Towards the end they shook the...

Re: Jab's Builds: Conan, The Supremacists, Layla Miller

Layla seems like a textbook example of a character who became over-complicated quickly, as she started off as a plot-device character in one arc, then had that power retroactively "explained" to be something else (even though that didn't make clear sense), got a new "true" power instead (the Healing...

Re: Jab's Builds: Trauma, V. Swarm, Century, Asbestos Man

Or if you don't mind detouring from Marvel, there's always the Young Heroes In Love , a failed DC concept book that actually wasn't half-bad; only Off-Ramp really had any sort of unusual powers (a teleporting getaway specialist who found chronically found new uses for his power, and who also had lot...

Re: Jab's Builds: Dr. Stranger Yet, Hippolyta, Dr. Riggs, El

I was actually at the Chicago WizardCon about a dozen years backwhen they announced Bloodstone, along with Witches Three, and one other title whose name I cannot quite recall, but which also featured a female lead-a genetically engineered super-solider in a full body black body-stocking who fought a...

Re: The Combined DCU-Marvel Universe thread

Ah, the 1970s-where coldly logical machines would ignore the whole natural selection bit and divebomb the Sun in a kamikaze move because the hero rolled a Natural 20 on Persuasion Skill. Congratulations again in order for Charles. I finished the Secret Six write-up begun earlier, with my various Mar...

Jab, the sarcasm in the comments section of Dr. Stranger Yet build caused my sarcasm detector to explode. Good thing I have an infinite supply. I imagine Dr. Stranger-Yet was inspired-all right, channeled through a psychotropic fugue state-by the underground comic "Wonder Warthog", an anti-es...

Re: Jab's Builds: Hardball, The Order, Venom II, Scorpion I-

HOLY CRAP that's wicked I LOVED it. I always liked Red Skull. He should be up there with Doctor Doom in my opinion. I guy who prompts a real "OH SHIT" moment when he does something. Oh it gets better. Apparently the next arc with the Apocalypse twins was kicked off because at some point in the futu...

Re: [Green] Arrow TV Series

Perhaps. More likely I'm thinking of shows from back when I was younger, when I was still a Law and Order series fan Yeah it has got pretty bad in recent years, especially SVU. As for the others, I haven't watched them, so my guess was right. you and I watch very different shows (an if you aren't w...
