Re: Give it a name.

Why not Prodigy ? It possesses excellent talent, and it is phonetically evocative of 'prodigal son' which is what this character (and Ultron) are. Alternatively, you could cut out the middle man and skip to Prodigal for its (no doubt) rashly extravagant displays of power, and its going rogue from it...

The Game - Game 6

The Game Game 6... Tonight's game picks up as such: Arizona is on her way home after having an absurd night breaking into the school, meeting KNIGHT, flying around in a space ship, getting into an absurd fight with Dean and then the space ship, escaping KNIGHT, and being ripped into by her mom for ...

The Game - PC's

Let's look at the PC's! A little notation factoid before proceeding: When presenting PCs, characters built with no knowledge of their Power Sets, their builds will be off-kilter in-regards to PP spent. They were given the option of donating character construction PP to their power sets at CC, and so...

Re: Mecha&Manga

Anyway, my feeling is that the 3pp/rank for Second Stage was a typo. It can probably be constructed as: It's not a typo; the playtesters agreed that an extra 5pp to spend for an extra 1pp/rank was overpowered. Here's the design thought process for Second Stage: The problem: To represent shounen her...

Re: Mecha&Manga

Anyway, my feeling is that the 3pp/rank for Second Stage was a typo. It can probably be constructed as: Container (Flaws: Chained [to Battle Form; -1], Full Round [-3]; 1pp/rank) Chained? I mean, I think I get the gist of what it does, but could someone point me in the direction of the appropriate ...

Re: Mecha&Manga

Alternate Form [Full-Round Action -2, Limited: Only After Standard-action Battle Form -1, Reduced Pool -1; Cost: 1pp/Rank] Since Battle Form functions like a modified Alternate Form (5pp/Rank, Sustained/Permanent), you could modify it further as above to buy it down to a cost of 1pp/Rank, at which ...

Re: Appropriate Settings?

How would you do them in other systems? Usually by feint/diplomacy/bluff related skills. Those appear to be present in M&M, no? "Overloading it" as in "causing it damage". The epitimous "logic problem" is just one example. And no skill entry has a function of "cause damage". I'm getting tripped up ...

Re: Mecha&Manga

Enjoying this book a great deal and have already let my players sift through it. General attitude is one of excitement and interest at new options, rules, and crunch work even if we don't intend to use much of the material right away. I can say, personally, that some of the material is already being...

Re: The Game - Builds

The Game NPC Builds A foreword concerning the setting in which this campaign is taking place. The Oberon-Earth setting is predominantly lower-powered than most superhero settings, as far as I'm aware of them. In HA!, the PCs were on a scale based on school year (1st, 6; 2nd, 7; 3rd, 8; 4th, 9; Grad...

The Game - Game 3 Debrief

The Game Game 3 Debrief... Sadly, the player of Dante could not make it to this game, so his character was assumed to be following Erin as he had intended. Picking up where the action left off last time, I started by clarifying the time. It was that metropolitan in-between time where dusk is still ...

The Game - Game 2 Debrief

The Game Game 2 Debrief... A little late, but necessary for my train of thought in this journal... Points of order: Fourth PC was introduced as our final player found the time to join us. Her character is currently considered to be on a 'reoccurring character' or 'guest star' status due to her work...
