I need inspiration

I've been making characters in HeroLab just to pass the time. And I think after four years I'm done. I can't think of a single new character concept or superpower. I want to make a new character but I'm coming up with a blank everytime I try.

Re: Batgirl III's 3E Thread (E-IV Capt. Britain)

I'm also really enjoying your Fairy-tale Superhero builds. They are very creative and have interesting backgrounds. PS: It took me a bit but I finally figured out where I saw the picture you used for Sublime before; it's Axis (though I could have sworn that it was Matrix) from that crazy "Heaven: th...

Re: Power profiles are done, what's next?

Maybe they'll do the flip side of the Threat Reports and give us Allies or Operative Reports.

Re: A flaw idea I wanted to float

The first thing I thought of was travel time. Any movement power under these rules would become far more limited, although it would also make vehicles far more attractive. Other powers that may need to be maintained for long periods, like Concealment or Morph, would also become more challenging to ...

Speed and athletics

I was wondering, is the the bonus from a succesful Athletics check for running cumulative with ranks of Speed?

Like if I succeed on my Athletics check and I have Speed 7 does that mean I then can go Speed 8 for the round?

Re: A flaw idea I wanted to float

That would be a Quirk at best, more likely a Complication. Tiring is a -1 Flaw that gives you a level of Fatigue after each use. Hm, True it does feely Quirkier than anything. I was also thinking of How this would work out if this was how superpowers worked in a campaign setting? Does Stamina becom...

A flaw idea I wanted to float

Here's an idea I had for a Flaw that could work in some campaigns Endurance-based, -1/rank Your effect works normally for a duration of one minute (about 10 rounds or time rank 3) plus their Stamina ability in rounds. After that they immediately become fatigued and after another number of rounds equ...

Analyze this fight

Hello, I haven't been here in ages but I just wanted to try out something. I am doing Nanowrimo for the first time and I am making it about the character that has been occupying my brain pan for the last few years, Infinite Woman. So I wrote this bit and wanted to see how you all interpret it in MM3...

Re: Variable Array?

You have a number of power points equal to your ranks of Variable times 5. So in this example you could have up to 50 points of effects at a given time. You can change your allocation by spending a standard action once per round.

Re: GAZbuild Cosmos: Thanos, Galactus, Ego, Skrulls, Kree

The other side of the Kree-Skrull War. The Kree are very technologically advanced and very imperialistic. The universe has the Skrulls to thank for that. The Kree first gained space flight by mugging the judges of an intergalactic beauty pageant. They also murdered the Cotati, the winning contestan...

Beefing up Abilities and Skills

Just what the title says: What could one do to make Abilities attractive? One thought that I floated :P once was to have special features open up at different ranks. Another idea I've been toying with to make buying Intellect more attractive is to have the ranks of Intellect be the highest rank of w...

Re: Power Profile: Weather Powers

I have been enjoying these products (and Reviews  ) I'm planning on buying the last three here in a bit.

It's interesting how they have slightly revised Affliction. Before you just picked a defense, but now you can pick both the resistance and the overcoming defense/effect.

Re: [Writeups.org] [3E]Johnny Too Bad,Amanda Waller, EQ Gnoll

So what would be a small "p" poison? Early for me so might not be totally coherente. Another way of putting it could be that a character with Immunity to Poison is iumme to generic poison but perhaps not Name Brand poison. If you can get the stuff at the local pharmacy or chemical supply store then...

Descriptors for Measurements

I was thinking that another way to handle super-strength and high level power effects would be to use the names from the size categories instead of specific length/distance, area, volume, mass, time etc. The possible ranks or progression would be: Decreasing: Miniscule Fine Diminutive Tiny Small Med...
