What I meant was basically you could do a comic for the game as a web comic. I agree that DnD is popular, but OOTs isn't the only comic that does well. Downer isn't a comedy. And DnD comics in Dragon carved out their own genre. As well: Comics for Heroes are already out there!!! That's what the game...

Yeah, but look at The Order of the Stick. that's a comic based off a game that does incredibly well. I don't know aobut costs, but I'm fairly sure they didn't spend a dime on publishing until there was enough of an audience to print off a collection. Now there are a bunch, t-shirts, and a devoted fa...

Pricing a power

What is the basis for pricing the pp for a given power? I mean for something like Stike being 1pp per rank. Or telekinesis being 2pp per rank. I couldn't find the formula in the core book (don't have UP yet). Should I look at range, duration, target/area of effect, saving throw needed, that sort of ...

Deforming Touch Help

So here's the task: I'm converting a module of 3.5 to MnM. The villain has a power that allows her to physically morph those struck by her: they gain a monstrous deformity (legs turn to snakes, internal organs become writing tentacles, etc.). The effect disappears after a few rounds (or the next day...

I fit the profile somewhat, 20-something educated male. I started as a teen (14) with high school friends, with the Moathouse in Homlett (temple of elemental evil); then into Ravenloft's "feast of Goblyns" and FR's Undermountain. Then that group ended; tried it at a store and with others, with every...

why yes, yes I am! I see I'm a celebrity. I won't let fame get to my head and will use my newfound responsibility as a gamer icon for good and not evil :D I have a game about to get off the gorund using MnM to run a DnD setting. I liked the idea, and the players seem nice enough (one knows what he's...

Where do you get your pictures from?

this is for those Roll Call types, who seem to have an unending supply of cool pictures of characters.

where the heck do you get them from?! I can't find them with google!!!

before I put it off again: brilliant, and it's going to be massively useful for my new DnD MnM campaign (ie: fantasy setting using MnM 2nd ed.). it's PL8, but should be fun. Any recommendations for monsters for a newbie MnM DM? like, what you recommend? Also: I'd love to see some magic items (equipm...

the guy in my sig I designed with the powers first and then just started playing. Then the PCs started talking to each other, and over the course of several months out came this great personality. part of it was that his BAB and such arn't great, so I had to use his powers for everything. They're ve...

M&M is great for any setting. The difference is how you want combat to work: in horror movies your "victims" typically die in a shot or two rather than hp; and horror games typically act at low levels anyway, so hp arn't a big part of that. ergo fast combat and saves works. whether it's a hatchet or...

((arrives at the table late)) I'm new, too. The boards ehre are great. I'd recommend for learning that you check out the Roll Call section for conversions of characters. Acouple that I've sifted through blow my mind on how they adapt the rules, and show how they fit together in-use. I'm impressed by...

No, actually, I'm not looking for Omniscience. Thats being aware of everything. Thoughts, feelings, truths, knowledge, places, times, peoples. I want to be able to look at Tokyo from Pittsburgh. That'd be Omnipresent. Congrats on the 500, and I'm glad you get the Omniscience bit however: what you'r...

Hate to burst you bubble: you're talking about Omniscience, not Omnipresence. True Omnipresence, ie: being all-present, means you're there the whole time everywhere (which is one of the big-three traits one uses for God; what the full sense of it is, I don't get, but there you go... basically it's a...

Links would be nice. It's easier to discuss what you're talking about if we don't have to search. I agree, how inefficient of me... actually, I'm unsure of how to do links; I think they're like quotes, but I put URL in there rather than QUOTE. hmm. Thanks for the help, folks; I wasn't sure of what ...

so you're thinking about a large character (giant?) wielding two human-sized greatswords with the wounding or energy-drain type effects (Con damage?), and a high enough BAB to inflict damage with every shot, no matter how minute? Or undead with weapons that allow them to channel their ability-damage...
