Re: The Wordverse - [Fall of the Bat]

Go ahead and post them here! I think it's awesome that people like the setting enough to use it in a game.

Re: The Wordverse - [Fall of the Bat]

Hey, sorry I've been gone so long. Still seeking representation for my first novel, and I've begun writing my second. To add to my busy schedule, my wife and I are expecting our first baby at the end of June! :D I've actually got a blog set up to talk about writing and other related topics, and if a...

Re: The Dresden Files

It's a very different system to most traditional roleplaying games, all right. If you're after simulation in a game, it won't give you that. It's built for genre emulation and players collaborating on a shared narrative more than hard and fast rules and overcoming challenges.

Re: The Dresden Files

Didn't like Changes, myself. Still interested to see where the story will go from there, but I've a feeling a lot of what I loved about the series may be gone, so I'm looking at everything from Changes onward as a new series, going in with no expectations one way or another.

Re: The Dresden Files

It really is. I got the pre-order pdfs and they're jaw-dropping. The game itself is just as good.

Re: The Wordverse - [Fall of the Bat]

Hehe, thanks!

My novel's an urban fantasy set in modern day New York. The first draft is completed and once I have the editing done I'll be applying to literary agents for representation.

Re: The Wordverse - [Fall of the Bat]

This is a bit of thread necromancy but I'm still alive.

I managed to complete the first draft of my novel and I'll be sending submissions to literary agents soon. If anybody wants to keep up with my efforts, I have a blog set aside for dealing with my writing:

Re: The Wordverse - [Fall of the Bat]

Unfortunately it's a lot easier to get recognition here than it is in the publishing world. Need to work harder.

Plus I'm enjoying the "delights" of buying my first house.

A character's Heavy Load description is defined as being the heaviest thing a character can lift and throw. Giving either of them ranks in Super Strength would really be unnecessary. Plus you can always use Hero Points and Extra Effort for temporary bonuses.

With an effective lifting strength of 45, Prime can pick up and throw a lear jet or subway car, while Megatron can do the same to a fighter jet, or a semi-articulated truck. I didn't see anything in either of the movies to suggest they were any stronger than that. And yes, ROTF shows Prime is ann hi...
