Help with Naming Device

Postby Furyan » Thu May 31, 2012 10:39 pm

I'm trying to come up with a good name for a device that detects mutant signatures. It functions similar to Cerebro, actually replacing it in my own Marvel Mutant chronology, but it doesn't detect specific brainwaves (nor use psychics to activate it).

The device detects mutant signatures by tracking DNA that is "energized" during the use of powers. It functions similarly enough to Cerebro to not merit changing the mechanics for it, but I need a good name for the fiction of it all.

So far, the best I've come up with is MSD (Mutant Signature Detector). It's not terrible, but I'd like something that sounds like "Cerebro".

Any ideas?

Best I can come up with at what amounts to midnight. But I suggest finding a cool name and then create an acronym from it, it is what the government does after all.

I'll try that, thanks.

Given that it sounds like a large-scale take on the Sentinel's (never named or explained) mutant sensing equipment, you could just call it "Sentinel".
