Everyone knows that M&M fans are the best. I mean as far as communities are concerned, they’re certainly my favorite. So, when my Dragonlance novel was released, I gave away copies of Alien Sea and Renegade Wizards as a thanks for the community’s support and hype. And with The Supernatural Handbook announced for release later this year, I thought I’d make this Gencon a special one for M&M fans.
SO! I’m giving away three copies of Lockdown and three copies of Hero High. Two each will be given away at Gencon, and the last pair will be given out to a lucky winner on the forums to be fair to folks who won’t be able to attend Gencon. Then, with the release of The Supernatural Handbook, I’ll announce a couple more giveaways of that particular work.
GENCON CONTEST RULES
1) On Thursday, August 16th, from 11:00 to 11:30 PM and at 5:00 to 5:30 PM, I will be somewhere in the Exhibition Hall.
a. I’ll be the guy dressed as me, but with a Mutants & Masterminds T-Shirt.
b. I will give away one book at each of those times. Nobody can win twice, and do the upstanding thing please by NOT sending your girlfriend/boyfriend or friends to get both books.
c. The first person who finds me from 11:00-11:30 and says: “Doc Otaku sent me,” will receive a copy of either Lockdown or Hero High, their choice.
d. The first person who finds me between 5:00 to 5:30 and says “The Freedom League needs you!” will receive the copy remaining of either Lockdown or Hero High.
2) On Saturday, August 18th, from 11:00 to 11:30 PM, I will be somewhere in the Exhibition Hall, wearing an M&M shirt.
a. This time I will give away to one lucky winner, both Lockdown and Hero High.
b. But to win, you will need to obtain the following to give or show me:
> A Heroclix figurine of any superhero (yes, a cheap one will do).
> A US or Canadian penny from the 1980s (the decade I started gaming and collecting comics and writing professionally.
> A picture (camera, cellphone, iPad, etc), of one of the costumed superheroes from that weekend.
> A twenty-sided die in honor of M&M.
> A common everyday item that the Marvel assassin Bullseye could use as a throwing weapon.
After I get back from Gencon, I'll have the forum contest for the last copies of Hero High, Lockdown and Supernatural (when it becomes available).
GOOD LUCK! AND GREAT GENCON TO ALL!
