I would be interested in GMing, i already have quite a few ideas i was sketching out while working the register at work today (shame on me) but it would involve a lot of characters and races from Marvel's history

Character Level

Postby FelixFactory » Thu Jul 26, 2007 7:30 pm

I actually don't mind having groups with split character levels as long as it fits the character concept. I've been reading lots of Planetary/The Authority recently where the most interesting characters are "support" characters. I'd happily play a level 10 character in a cosmic campaign and I still think I could pull my usefullness weight alongside the Silver Surfer if I had an interesting build. That way Captain Liberty could still get to play TSS but our overall level wouldn't be so high that it would undermine the challenges you have in store for us Solomon Grundy. I don't know what others think about this, maybe we could aim for an average level around 12/13, 10 seems a bit low for a cosmic campaign.

Count me in as a player!

How about Ventrilo? I have the server version too and you could all connect to me.

Ya vent uses a mic. A good idea might be using OpenRPG but ya might need to run a server or find someone who will let us run M&M on theirs.

Ventrilo is totally free but does require a mic. I sincerely suggest getting a real checp mic or headset. I play in a Castles and Crusades game online using Skype. We all voice chat with one-another and it works fantastically. Typign would get excessive in an rpg.

I'm pretty new to the game but I'd like to get some practice in before GMing this game at my normal group. I just have two questions;
First what day/s we play and time or time zone and second if someone doesnt have a mic they can still listen in vent and use the chat box to type. I just think we should have some sort of voice network to support RP cause it maybe just me but I'd act out less if i had to type everything I did.

I agree....at the very least it would be good for the GM to listen to us over Vent and reply inchat. However, I STRONGLY suggest the GM use vent to chat too. It makes things MUCH simpler and really helps with the pacing of the game. Typing everything from the GM will bog down the speed of the game significantly.

A headset mis is really inexpensive these days too.

We would first need to get a list of who will be the GM and who all the players will be. Then we can send e-mail to all that are in the group to see what day/time will work for everyone.

We need more feedback from the person who will be the GM so we can kick this into fast mode to get set up.

I'm afraid i no longer think that i will be interested in GMing this particular campaign, playing perhaps, but not GMing.

My schedule tends to change from week to week and my hours seem to be increasing, and i have been told i will be going full time here in a week or two, so makes it harder, but makes the checks that much sweeter.

Well sorry if i'm not really being helpful.
