Online Nobleverse Game

Hello all. It seems that no one is in the WNY area. That's fine. In the coming months I was thinking of starting an internet game. The quick, so as to not waste time if not interested is this:

~It will be over AIM chatrooms
~It will not start until at least August
~It will be 2e
~It will be taking place starting in 1991 and will have a decidedly Iron Age tone.
~We are going to call it NC-17 as far as rating is concerned. This is not to say it is going to be nothing but sex and violence, but that language and adult situations may occur and I want to know that the players are fine with that. And that they are at least 18, because I don't want to get angry e-mails from your parents. Again, this is not to say that this is going to be some depraved death-game. But that is it intended for adults.
~I DO NOT GIVE OUT CHARACTER POINTS EVERY SESSION! THEY ARE GIVEN AFTER EVERY STORY ARC!
~Good with all of that? Cool, read on.

The reason I am posting now is to see if there is any interest. It will most likely be set in a home brewed setting, and there is some information on the setting here on the board already. [Link] As for the general feel of the setting, it is capes and so on. More infor will be given as to PL, what I am looking for in the party, the city that it will be in (I have some options after all), the day and the time are somewhat up in the air right now. Again, it won't be happening until at least March. I am hoping to make it weekly, but with work, school and so on, we may make it every other week. Don't know. Again, it isn't happening until at least March (have I said that enough?)

The cool thing is that this game will affect my normal table top game, and my normal table top game will affect this one. They'll be in the same world after all. (I think it's cool anyway)

So again, this is an initial post to generate some interest, just see if there is anyone out there looking that would want to play. I look forward to hearing responses.

Clearly we’re playing in an established community with at least a few months of player-generated history and events. Can you give us a quick rundown of recent activities in the Nobleverse? Also, what’s the status of magic, alternate realities, and alien life? I’d also like to know if the universe has a Green Lantern Corps analogy or other “Space Cops”.

Although the setting has been worked on for almost three years now, it isn't as fleshed out as we'd like it to be (we being me and my Girlfriend, co-inventer of the world). At this point, as there isn't too great an established setting, we don't yet want to deal with alternate realities. Magic is something that is there, but not really used much. I think there are two characters running around with any magical abilities. We have discussed aliens before a bit, and even some kind of Lanter Corp type thing, though nothing has come of it yet. Not sure if we want to get into it right yet, though.

One of the other reasons we are taking a bit more time before we start this is because we have to go through all the sessions and decide what did and didn't happen. Games we ran IRL had people come and go, people who vehemently saiud they'd commit to a weekly game only to have "something come up" week after week for months on end, then call me and ask why we never play (argh!), and because of this there are some story lines that kind of died off, so we are kind of having a little "Infinite Crisis" as GMs, trying to make stuff fit. As we finally formalize some of the stuff, I am going to put it up on the Nobleverse thread in the Settings area.

We are also in the middle of packing to move (another reason it is not going to be until March that we start), so please bare with me over the next few weeks.

Moving is more of a hassle than anticipated. I still very much want to get this going, but it don't think it is happening in March.

I've been having some issues with my computer and apparently I need to send it in to the manufacturer. So I won't be able to get the game going untill I have my computer back. In the mean time, though, I will get on here as I can and hopefully we can make this a little more solid, so that when the computer comes back all nice and working again we can start.

Ok, so I have things nice and sorted out. I believe. Anyway, if still interested, I will be trying to get this going in August. I am hoping for either every other Wednesday or, if schedules permit, maybe even every Wednesday.

EST, and time hopefully 7pm or earlier.

I have one player already committed. I'd like to discuss through July with other players and get a good idea of everyone. Work on backstories together and as a group, fit the characters to the given setting and so forth. For those of you who already expressed interest, IM me on AIM [ Thakowsaizmu ] as that is where we'll be playing anyway. The chatrooms don't work with AIM express, just a heads up there.

I suppose the biggest 'application' would be chatting about the ideas for characters a bit on AIM. I want to get an idea of some of the people interested and set up a good time where we can hash out who wants to do what.

Hey Thak, thank you for the PM. I think I am still interested, contingent on whether or not the game schedule matches up with my real life schedule.

It is a little tough for me pitching an idea though without at least some idea of what you or the rest of the group is thinking. I am terrible at working in a vacuum.
