Ah, Edgar. Nice to see that the older school Final Fantasy is remembered as well. Always thought all of his tools should be an array in M&M, nicely done. He's got a very detailed list of complications as well.

:arrow: one of FF7's primary villain for the majority of disc one, Rufus is one of those rare megacorp exes who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, wether it be getting in a one on one fight with the hero or personally leading an expedition to the furthest arctic reaches. however, Rufus is also the sort to try and use the vast wealth and resources of Shinra to bypass a problem if he can help it, so if inclded in your game you makes a very useful contact or even patron for your PC's, just so long as they stay on his good side.

:arrow: hero of ff8, Squall is perhaps one of the most humorless jerks in all his era of gaming, going two thirds of the game before showing any emotion beyond cool disdain and annoyance, part of the reason that i not only stopped playing 8, but traded it in for another game

:arrow: anyway, Squall set the trend for leading FF heros to be agile swordsmen, so i of course followed suit, although I drew upon his Kingdom hearts version for some details. on that note, i was considering adding reach to the gunblade's feats, to model the big glowing blade, but *meh*, i wound up going with a low-level squall

:arrow: having grown tired of high accuracy/defense (and realizing i was moving up the numbers), I chose to stat up 9's resident Tank & damage dealer.

:arrow: as the above quote demonstrates, Steiner is living proof tht lawful stupid doesn't mean you cant be lawful awesome. it takes almost half the game for him to accept the crown he serves has gone mad with power, but once he does he fights it like he would any monster. however, first and foremost on Steiner' mind is the safety of Princess Garnet, to whom he has fanatical devotion. his rivalry with zidane stems from Steiner recognizing the young theif's llust/romantic interest in the princess, in addition to being a theif, kidnapper and all-around scoundrel

okay, i've been making pretty good progress thus far, and with 16 days remaining, i think i've earned myself a break for the moment, mostly because i had to scratch the itch of converting half the cast of the 7th Saga

7th Saga, for the unenlightened, was an RPG developed by Enix that had two strikes against it.

first, it was released about a month after Final Fantasy 3

second, even by gaming standards, this game was hard. a grind-tastic nightmare of a game that towards the end, despite being a 16-bit cartiges, continued to find new and exciting ways to kick you right in the gonads.

anyway, the plot was simple: the King is looking for a sccessor, so he takes the 7 best applicants and tells them to find the 7 magic macguffin runes of magic. whoever gets all 7 wins.

:arrow: i decided to take some liberties with the chracters, given the sparse backgrounds, so Lejes becomes a silver tongued devil of an alchemist to back up his sorcery

:arrow: UPDATE- some light changes to Lejes, swapping out the snare for a melee attack option (he doesn't really do nonlethal), and correcting some errors in the math, before adding another drawback to put things back the way i wanted
