 another of the Amalgams from that Wizard article, Armageddon was Bruce Fairchild, a weak and psycicly sensitive subjected to a lifetime of child abuse, until he ran away and out onto a nuclear test site, and was transformed into a necromantic engine of destruction.

 designwise, Armageddon owes more to his Evil Ernie aspects than the hulk, although I do admit that i used Rampage fro the paragons sourcebook as a base

 introduce yourself, Cameron..

 from those humble beginnings, Cameron somehow managed to persist mostly because he was no threat whatsoever, but through luck, determination, freinds and the rampant chronic backstabbing disorders on most of the other campers, he made his way to the finals.

 in the climactic, most dramatic TDI season finale Eh-VER, Cameron proceeded to build that armor, in an open-air arena, with a box of scraps, and using a radioactive marshmellow as a power source, used that armor to not only fight off almost every single mutant animal on the island, but win the final challenge and walk away with ONE. MILLION. DOLLARS! (which is pretty sweet, because the other guy was a colossal douche)

 one of the villains in Alex Ross' Earth X series, The Spiders-Man was originally a nobody, one of New Yorks seen but ignored homeless wretches. then the world changed, and The Spiders Man was born, able to weave psychic webs of lies and illusions, usually drawn from the own thoughts, emotions and memories of his victims. But for all his terrible power, The Spiders-Man is weak and insecure at heart, still that pathetic nobody of a bum, and will become a willing henchman to anybody to escape his own web of fear, if only for a little while.

Spiders-man, that takes me back. Alex Ross had some pretty interesting ideas for the Earth-X series.

I don't know anything about MLP, except for what I've been exposed to through the Crinoverse, but that picture alone is just awesome.
