another of the Amalgams from that Wizard article, Armageddon was Bruce Fairchild, a weak and psycicly sensitive subjected to a lifetime of child abuse, until he ran away and out onto a nuclear test site, and was transformed into a necromantic engine of destruction.

designwise, Armageddon owes more to his Evil Ernie aspects than the hulk, although I do admit that i used Rampage fro the paragons sourcebook as a base
