It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger
 Rocky is one mean boxer. He's hard to put down, and with the ability to reroll toughness saves against unarmed opponents, or get a 20 with a hero point he's going to damn hard to put down and keep down.

 Rambo, at least in the first movie, is a surprisingly complex character. He gets picked up by a sheriff in a small town, is affected by PTSD whilst there, thinks the sheriff and his deputies are the Viet Cong and promptly does his thing.
 In terms of fighting style Rambo is best again mooks. Unarmed his best chance is to grapple and use chokehold. Other than that its all about guns, explosions, and body counts.

 This will hopefully one of several Ultimate Marvel builds. This is fairly representative of Spidey as of Issue 100 of Ultimate Spider-Man. Once I pick up some more of the trades I'll start doing some of his major villains. I'll be starting with good or Norman Osborne as the Green Goblin in all his hulking fire tossing glory.
 Pete is actually reasonably skilled in the Ultimate series for a guy who has only been superheroing for about one year. Most of it is raw talent, and its been commented on more than once that with some training he would be a spectacular fighter.
 I'm aware that his strength is fairly low, but thats more a function of Pete not being as strong as he is in normal continuity, at least not yet at any rate. If I'm entirely wrong I can see bumping him up to 165 points, but I'm comfortable with him as is for the moment.

 I'm willing to admit that I totally stole Taliesen's drawback setup for Cyclop's optic blasts. As per his construction the Boost allows Scott to AP a sustained power Blast on his Permanent blast with the Precise feet, or he could do a cone effect, or autofire effects. Basically it lets Scott reasonably get away with anything we've seen him do in the comics with his optic blasts.
 Unlike the 616 version of Cyclops the Ultimate Cyke is less powerful overall, and less skilled as a whole. He's still a young man, and sometimes unsure about himself. He's also hideously obtuse about other people.

 Well I have everybody's big Russian bruiser done, or least is Ultimate version at any rate. Colossus is a pretty straight forward brick, although he has a few skills and enough feats to make him interesting to play.
 Colossus is described as one of the world's most powerful mutants, largely because of his incredible physical strength. At this point the two characters that I know that could match Peter in terms of raw strength are the Hulk or Juggernaut.
 In combat Peter has basically two options. Beating something senseless, or grappling something. He's good at both, so it makes for some more fun depending on what you want to do.

It's interesting to see the differences between the Ultimate and Regular versions of classic Marvel characters.

Most of them are largely the same in terms of powers, although some are radically different in terms of where they come from or how they behave. Colossus and Spider-Man are probably the two characters that changed the least except for their ages.

A huge problem for me is that I've read almost all of the Ultimate X-Men trades some characters are barely featured, at least in combat. Nightcrawler is pretty bad for this since I have not clear idea if he's even half way competent in combat, and if so how. His only showing in combat was the Return to Weapon X story arc, so I suppose I'll need to check that out again.

SUMMARY:
Abilities 34 + Skills 13 (52 ranks) + Feats 24 + Powers 50 + Combat 16 + Saves 13 – Drawbacks 0 = 150

 Wolverine is more or less the same as standard. He isn't the wild berserker that is often displayed in 616 continuity, but he still very willing to just throw himself into battle. Using All-out Attack and Power Attack together and letting his Regeneration just soak up the damage is a favourite tactic.
 The regeneration allows Wolverine to basically disregard Bruised and Injured conditions provided that he doesn't take to many in a single round from multiple opponents. He can still be knocked out, and takes some time to recover from more lethal conditions. There is actually a panel where Professor X and Moira McTaggert sit and watch as Wolverine's body regenerates after rather mangling car crash that nearly kills him. We'll get to that particularly charming aspect of Ultimate Charles Xavier's personality later though.
 EDIT: Because I'm a space case I forgot to add Immunity (Aging). So Wolverine loses his wallcrawling to keep him at 150pp. I figure if he really wants to scale walls with his claws then he can power stunt the effect.

 Kurt's a fun guy. Loads of abilities to setup his friends for devastating attacks. Of course he can't stand Colossus.
 Kurt gets a shiny new picture because I realized that the one that I had was an Earth-616 image from his days in Excalibur. How can I tell? Easy, his eyes always glow.
 I've also decided that Kurt does deserve his combat skills. He and Angel used the Danger Room for a variety of Pirates of the Caribbenesque adventures where Nightcrawler plays the dashing, and deadly, Captain Bluetail.

Well now I'm just going to have go out and buy The Ultimates Vol 1 and Vol 2. Because it such a hardship for to buy more comic books. ;)

As it is I only currently collect Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men.
