Lhiannan, the faerie mistress, is a ravishing beauty, and a being of power. On the other hand, she’s not much of a fighter. Normally, she appears as a very pale woman with pale green eyes, and dark black hair. She usually wears seductive clothing, generally of dark colors. Her lips are very red. She lives on artist’s will to live, giving them inspiration and great skill in their chosen field in return for everything else that gives their life meaning. Many willingly make this trade. Others, she deceives. She isn’t particular.

And yes, she’s a glass cannon. Of course, only the person she’s currently trying to seduce can see her, usually, so she manages to be effective…especially either in noncombat situations or when supporting other members of the host. And it’s amazing just what people will do for her when they’ve had their will sapped. Emotion Control + high interaction skills + weak will is a deadly combination.

A lesser angel, he was granted mortality to be with the woman he loved…who then moved to California. Apparently it wasn’t working out for her. Stunned by the fickle nature of humans, trapped by his choice in the mortal world, Amabael searches for a purpose to his new life, for meaning. But he’s still an angel of God, and cannot let injustice go unpunished, nor allow the innocent to suffer…unless God decrees it. And as Amabael can no longer hear his Creator’s words directly, he tends to thwart evil, and worry about God’s Will when he makes it manifest.

Amabael is 6’4”, wiry rather than muscular. His skin is pale as snow. His eyes are the blue of deep winter ice. His hair is white…, but his wings are black, and edged in frost. He is quite capable of hiding the wings, but he cannot fly when they are hidden.

Kensai has trained since birth in numerous martial arts, some of which have never been heard of outside the Orient. Bornm in Japan, he has trained amongst the finest sifus of China as well as the sensei of his native land. He is also gifted with a novel form of tactile telekinesis that he often channels through his long obi...he claims, as do his teachers, that this and his other powers are simply developments of his inherent chi and enlightenment. They may be right.

He has come to Neopolis to train with an uncle who lives there. Already, events have conspired to connect him to the Vanguard, and he has aided them on a couple of missions, and been asked to join as a result.

He wears a simple gi, a black belt with ten red slashes, and a thigh length canvas coat, along with a satchel. Over all, he looks like a cross between Sho Kosugi and Kwai Chang Cain. (Mostly fashion sense.)

His name, although it means sword saint, actually refers to his quality of focus, and his habit of using his obi as if it were a no-dachi...when he isn't using it as a whip or ranged grappling device.

Billy Herlihy isn’t a super-soldier. Just ask him. From his point of view, he’s just a hurler (hurling player) who moved up to the big leagues after foiling a plot by the villain Blackthorn that happened to take place at a hurling match…

Billy thinks in run on sentences, and is slightly hyperactive. He carries a hurley and a sliotar, and uses them in battle…and wears a hurling uniform in green and white, with white long pants being the greatest change.

He was recruited into the Fianna just 2 months ago, and has already been involved in two major fights with the Host. Professional hurling has lost perhaps it’s greatest practitioner in the modern age. On the other hand, he now gets to play hurling against (and with) Cuchulain and Finn, so he counts it as a win.

He’s not a leader, but he’s a damn fine team player, able to set up opponents and very good at aiding others.

He’s about 6’2”, sandy blonde, with blue-green eyes, and hails from County Mayo.

Trent Morrisey comes from a long line of circus folk, Tinkers originally, who have traveled all over Ireland for generations. Several of his Ancestors have had…unusual gifts. Trent is one such. He was born with the ability to mold himself like playdoh, into almost any shape. He used it in circus performances of truly amazing escapes and contortion, until Finn saw him and recruited him last year.

He’s plucky, mouthy, and sardonic. He wears a circus acrobat or contortionists

Squat and mighty, he is a touch above 4’ tall, and just as broad across the shoulders. On his head, a tam o’shanter in the near black (tinged with red-brown) of a cap dipped in blood and left to dry…mostly. Occasionally, an errant trickle of blood makes its way down his swarthy face, to drip into his wide fanged mouth. That mouth is punctuated by a single massive tusk, upthrust on the left side of his jaw. His black eyes are deep set beneath a thick jutting brow adorned with a single dark eyebrow. He wears only a simple kilt in red-brown, held up by a broad black leather belt. His left hand usually holds a massive chipped and jagged meatcleaver, stained with the blood and feces of past victims. His feet are shod in heavy iron toed hobnailed boots.

He is the second being to be called the Redcap, second to rule his fractious rabble of goblins and outcasts. He knows this all too well, and wishes to expunge his predecessor from all aspects of reality. So he hunts the Bastard, and all who aid him, in addition to whatever mission he is on for the Unseelie Host.

He also has some issues with Adeiladwyr, as both are dwarfish in aspect, but the Builder is Seelie.

To kill him forever, the single tooth that will be left behind when he is killed must be destroyed as well.

He’s a big fellow, sure, but hardly the giant of myth. Of course, he was dead a while, so that may have shrunk him a bit. Still, Balor is the ancient Fomor warrior, hideous and deadly, whose very gaze kills those upon whom it falls. He carries a fine sword, as well, and knows how to use it, but it is the terror of his eye that travels before him. As the Grandfather of Lugh, he is the great-grandfather of Cuchulain, and there is no love lost between them.

It is believed he was brought back to life by the Cauldron of Rebirth. No one knows who might have used it, or why…or where it is. He was originally killed at Second Magh Tuiread (Moytura) by Lugh.

He’s just below 7’ tall, broad shouldered. His hair is black, but his huge single eye, set below a solid eye-ridge is, blood red. Other than the deformity of his eye, he’s not unattractive. He dresses in black and red tartan breeches, and wears his sword on a baldric slung across his bare chest. He goes barefoot.

Hmmm. I must confess that my mental picture of the Fomorii is rather influenced by 2000AD's Slaine, but the characters look good so I shan't say more. :D

Well. I'd expect a lot of people's image is so influenced...but I haven't read it. I just get my image from my reinterpretation of the original source material.:)

Heh. Not likely. The original image has four people opening his eye for him with a metal harness and lever system.
