Mfalme Simba, (aka King Lion) is considered by many to be the foremost super hero of the Bantu descended peoples. He leads a loose coalition of African heroes who are beset by far too many crises to deal with them all. They fight pirates and try to keep the peace in Somalia, they fight poachers all over Africa, they assist in relief efforts in Ethiopa, they try to contain the fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda (the ‘African World War’) and help in relief efforts there as well. But it seems that there are a huge selection of evils here, and the beleagured heros can’t keep up.

Mfalme Simba is an immortal. His origins are unknown, although he claims to have been chosen by the gods millenia ago as a champion of the Bantu people. What little evidence exists seems to support his claim…

As perhaps the mightiest of the many Lion based or lion named heroes in Africa and the Middle East, he seems somewhat amused by the rivalries they all share…he himself is obviously not in anyway threatened by the power of Asad al Allah, or of Arye, the Lion of Judah.

Mfalme Simba is a seven foot giant of a being, black skinned and black furred, with magnificent golden mane.

The Zimwi is a massive ogre, with gray brown skin (a bit like a rock…or maybe a corpse) and long, lanky, straight hair, filthy and greasy. It has small, piggish eyes, and is covered in boilks and sores. No one is sure if the zimwi is an actual ogre, or if he is just a very unfortunate metahuman.

Regardless, he’s a menace, as he is short tempered, selfish, chronically hungry, and has no concept of property or propriety. He’ll eat anything (or anyone even) slower than him when he’s hungry, and take whatever he wants, when he wants it. This includes women…he’s a rapist, and few women survive the expericne, if that weren’t bad enopugh. He’s bestial and thoughtless…and is occasionally bribed to do specific things by powerful villains who impress him and give him things he otherwise has trouble getting (like willing female copmpanionship…)

Nearly every hero in Africa, especially in the east, has fought him. So have a few Europeans. He and Samson, the Israeli powerhouse, had a monumental clash in Ethiopia last year, while Samson was helping deliver relief supplies.

Abasi Kamau, born with abilities just outside the human range, is a thrillseeking teeneager who taught himself to fight using Jacki Chan movies. As such, he’s a hyper agile acrobat and parkour practitioner, with a flair for using absolutely anything he can find in his environment as a weapon. He’s also a competent investigator, and would make a very good thief…if he hadn’t been raised so very well by his grandfather, both his parents having died when he was only a year old…they were killed in a Nairobi street robbery. He’s not a troubled youth, though..it’s not like his story and others far worse, aren’t common enough in Africa.

Mondo (which means Serval in Swahili) wears a charcoal gray bodysuit spotted black in Serval markings, with a cowl with catlike pointed ears, and a completely covered face. He mostly combats street crime, terrorism, and ethnic violence in Nairobi…he would love to deal with the endemic corruption of his government, but feels overwhelmed by it.

Not suprising. I'm learning quite a bit about African fauna during my research on Kenya for these builds. I like it when I can accidently teach people something while doing stuff for a game..:)

Devon Burton is a Kenyan native of British extraction. Born and raised in Kenya, he feels (as his parents did) that Kenya would be better off still under British rule. In school, he was never more than a bully. It looked likely he’d never be anything more, until, at the age of 16, he stole an obsidian knife from a Nairobi museum. He accidently cut himself with it while hiding it in his waistband, and over the next several days, he slowly (and painfully) metamorphosed into a sharp edged obsidian statue. More days passed before he learned to move again, albeit more slowly and clumsily. He decided, with what passed for thought in his head, that he’d been given a great gift: he’d use his obsidian state to make a lot of money, and work toward returning Kenya to British hands. The fact that Britain doesn’t want it has never occurred to him.

Mostly, he’s a low level super-merc, these days.

Woohoo! New Jack characters!

A nice self-deluded villain, and while he isn't particularly that strong, the monomolecular edges you can get from sharpened obsidian make him easily a menace. You come up on him expecting to have to deal with a standard brick, and you crawl away sliced up like lunch meat at a deli.

Yeah, obsidian is some sharp stuff. Maybe his Strike should have some Penetrating ranks?

Nah. It's sharp, but it isn't like long claws or anything. It's just his normal body with sharp edges. Penetrating would work better if he had anything to penetrate with.:)
