"Thomas has a way about him, an uncanny ability to detect a person's true intentions as well, by reading their minds. this comes in very handy specially when just shaking hands. But this came in handy when they captured someone, and needed information. Thomas doesn't have much use for this power either these days, that and the moral rammifications of such a power makes him cautious in its use."

Thomas carries a walking cane made of ash wood, a very hard material. Which not only helps server in his walking, but can be used as a melee weapon in a pinch. As well as a modified pistol, so he can still make use of his Kinetic Focusing power.
Equipment [Wealth Bonus +21]: 50 Ep's worth of vehicles, and homes.
Drawbacks [1pp]: Bum Knee (-5 to movement, and -2 to movement based skills)
Complications: Alcoholism, Weak Heart, Responsibility (business)

Background:
Thomas was born in 1923, to a moderately prominant family in Freedom City. However his parents decline in health and old age, he ended up becoming the soul heir of the modest estate of his family by the time he was sixteen. He didn't know what else to do, he had a year left of school to go. But considering his age, he became a ward of the state till he turned eighteen. His parents didn't have any other living relatives. But the road to power all started during world war II, the year was 1941 and Thomas Underwood signed up to be apart of an experimental program to create super heroes to help in the war. And Thomas Underwood succeeded in survivng the process, that few did.

He gained special powers from the process, and he had alot of success during the war. Working heavily with the Allies of Freedom, on many of their missions. When the war was over in 1945, he recieve several commodations. However the experiment weakened his heart, and the war caused a knee injury that never healed again. He went back to Freedom City, and married his childhood sweet heart Mary Patrick. Starting up a family, his wife gave birth to two beautiful daughters Elizabeth Shannon, and Olivia. For a time he continued to be a super hero, and even had a short stint with the Freedom League. However his own growing heart condition, forced him to leave and change his priorities. Especially once his children were born.

Taking the majority of his estate, he built and opened up the Underwood Hotel chain. Which has become very popular, not only in freedom city but in other cities too. The Underwood hotel is unfortunately a pricey place, so those of the middle class are unlikely to find it affordable (DC of 14-16 depending on the room desired). His wife died of a heart complication, in 1965 which left him devestated at her loss. And soon picked up alcoholism as a hobby, loosing himself in the mind numbing effects it provided him. His two daughters couldn't bare to see him like this, and they helped out with his hotel while trying to help get him to recover. It took two years of dedicated effort before thomas started to come out of his shell, once more but he has had to battle his alcoholism ever since. But with the love and dedication of Elizabeth, and Olivia he has stayed away from the drink.

By 1970 Elizabeth went on to help run the business, while Olivia fell in love with a Mathew Dunlow. Who would later give birth to Joshua Dunlow, who would later become known as Omega 2. Inhereting some of his grandfather's legacy of power. Today Thomas is considered one of the most eligible bachelors in Freedom City, and with the success of his business rather wealthy too. He lives a jet setting life style, visiting and exploring new destinations around the world. He is also quite the ladies man, a charming and distinguished gentlemen who always seems to have a pretty face or two at either arm. However he is not a promiscuous man, so he has resolved to wait. If he can find the right woman for him, in the mean time he enjoys showing his female companions a great time without sex. One of his more closest friends, is the enchanting singer Ravina Sovienik otherwise known as Muse . In reality though he knows about her powers, and her mysterious origin. And has helped her establish a new identity for herself in this world.

Golden Age: In his hay day , he would have Attack Focus (Ranged) 3. Add 3 more points to his Reflex Save, and 1 more point in willpower.

Background & History
Jessica was a 27 year old cybernetic researcher for Millennium University College, working on an experimental nanite enhancement solution that would replace clumsy power armor. She was your average student, except for her keen intelligence which far surpased many in her cirriculum. She was moderately attractive, and had to wear glasses to correct farsighted vision. Her success with the solution, brought the attention of a corrupt and private scientific company that may have been allied with Shadow, or the foundry.

This may never be known for sure now, but on one late summer night jessica was working on the last of the upgrades for a test program that she would be showing to Aegis officials the next day. Her lab was attacked by individuals unknown, and during the fight she was pushed into the vat of Nanite fluid and was submerged and transformed by the Nanites. Though she would not know this for several days, the individuals only got away with a small sample of her nanite formula thank goodness.

And as she recovered in the hospital it became evident, she was growing stronger and powerful. Her vision had cleared up, along with minor physical discrepancies. She seemed stronger, faster, and had an improved endurance. When she got out of the hospital, she began to experiment to find out what she could do. She could leap great distances, she was super strong. And she could shoot beams of heat from her palms, by some unknown method even she had to marvel at. The nanites coarsing through her body, gives her an enhanced regenerative capability.

The nanites are constantly growing, an evolving there is no telling where they could go in the future. She donned on a outfit, and took on the name of HeatWave So she could fight crime, and hopefully find out more about who attacked her and why. She is just starting her life as a crime fighter. She is currently dating Joshua Dunlow.

I've had some ideas for some characters of a more mature and adult nature, however im not sure they would be welcomed on the forums. So i might just make them on my own MnM forum.

I believe i could. I also recently beat DragonQuest 8 and im thinking about stating up the characters.

Great heatwave character Joshua. She echoes a Character I created called Ice Wind with similar origind and powers only his were ice related obviously.

Lolz no probs I owe you for all the great commentary over at the litterbox. =^_^=m

And if its construcitve your looking for may I suggest the following for her.

Drop fortitude and reflex saves by 1 pp each

Ad an AP boost to her strength to her heat blast, and the power attack feats. such would look like this

AP: Hot Surge (Enhanced Strength 10, Con 5, Dex 5, Speed 1, Super Strength 1 (power feats: All out Attack) (drawbacks: Noticeable [red heat aura] -1pp)

this is where she channels her energy inwardly enhancing her basic strength to truly formidable levels. it also provides an energy boost to her muscles eliminating the build up of fatigue poisons. hence enhancing ehr con, and it heightens her perceptions and motor reflexes enhancing her dexterity.

this well enable her to hit harder. lift more and be tougher hitting her +10 cap in toughness, and power attacking for damage as needed.

Also since this is kind of like an adrenaline surge it can make her a little over confidant hence she well tend to "Swing for the fences" leaving herself open to a counter attack ((all out attack feat))

This well make her a much more versatile combatant and give one more trick she can pull out as a last resort should an enemy prove able to dodge her heat blasts or is immune to heat.

Muwahahaha my dear I am immune to fire and heat Muwahahaha!!

Heatwave: Oh really? *surges*

Yes I envision it as a bright Red glow around her body that gives off a visible heat Signature. think Naruto when he faces off against Neji and channels the foxes chakra. the orangish reddish glow around him at that time like a flame.

Just my thoughts from what it looks like your going for in the character.

Diablo Notes Part 1

To simplify my builds, i will not be using hitpoints or energy points. Even though they would work rather nicely in this setting. Instead i will stay as close to the system as possible.


Magical Items in Sanctuary
There are several very common magical items found in the World of Sanctuary. Potion of Healing, Potion of Mana, Town Portal Scrolls, and Identify Scrolls. No hero should be found without an ample supply of either. Since many of these items are only one use items, it almost seems pointless to list them. But i have for those who wish to use that detail, A one use item is a -3 flaw, two to three uses a -2 flaw. 4 or 5 uses, a -1 flaw. 6 to 7 uses is a half flaw. My Wealth DC costs, do not follow the usual guidelines.

Town Portal Scroll
-Teleportation 5 [Power Feats: Easy, Portal Size Progression 1, Blocked use; Extra: Portal (+2), Portal Continuous Duration (+2), Flaws: Long range only (-1), Only two uses (there and back again, -2)]
"This spell will transport a party up to 5 miles, back to a civilized location. A few notes here, the 'Blocked Use' powerfeat is like the selective feat. Only those that the caster of the spell indicated may use the Town Portal Spell. And the continuous duration, makes sure it stays open till you walk back through it. "
EP cost: 17 ep/4pp (this is pretty costly )
Wealth DC: 27

Identify Scroll
-Super Senses 4 [Detect Magic (acute), Detect Cursed (Acute); Flaws: Only one use (3)]
"This is pretty straight forward; You can detect magic, and can determine specific properties of the item in question. And if it is cursed or not. "
EP Cost: 2 ep/1pp
Wealth DC: 12

Potion of Healing
-Healing 6 [Power Feats: Persistant, Regrowth; Extras: Total; Flaws: Only one use (-3)]
"A potion of healing will heal minor wounds and those which are persistant as well. For every 5 pts over the recovery roll, heals the next worse condition. And since the game doesn't deal with lost limbs, the regrowth Power Feat applies too. "
Ep Cost: 4ep/1pp
Wealth DC: 12

Potion of Mana
-Transform 8 [Fatigued to Not fatigued; Extra: Continuous; Flaws: Only one use (-3), Touch (-1)]
"The mana point removes the fatigued condition from the person who drinks it. "

NPs but I noticed one tenny tiny oops. her toughness save with surge should be +10

Con of 20 (+5 bonus) + Protection 5 = 10 toughness save

other then that looks awesome =^_^=m
