catsi563 wrote:good gimli. though Id have one nitpick. Thatd be the enhanced dexterity. Dwarves In tolkiens world are no mroe or less agile then other races.

they are however possessed of an incredible stamina and strength. As shown in the hobbit when Dains army marched rapidly for days on end all of them carrying heavy packs filled with food tools and supplies for their trapped kinsmen.

Ah sorry about that, that should be +2 Constitution, not dexterity. That was a typo. One thing i should say about these builds thought, im taking them from the books. Not the movie. The Movie characters have certain liberties, but im trying to keep these close to Tolkien's vision as i can.

You might be wondering what i am using for my source material, for the basis of the Elves abilities. Well, the LOTR roleplaying game to be precise. I had to take a few liberties with it though. Such as the Greater Artificer feat (Detailed below). This build changed big time from the original i did, however legolas becomes a very costly character indeed (but still cheaper than the LOTR movie build i did, and 1 power level less, though i aimed for PL 6 with this new build). Servants of the shadow , are classified at beings such as Shelob, the ring wraiths, etc. Beings with the power to use the darkness.

*Greater Artificer, requires the Artificer Feat. Benefit: Provides a +2 bonus to all craft and knowledge: arcane rolls.

Sauron?! Nope never done a build of him, he's more like an X trait npc really when you think of it. But once i get some of the other heavy hitters written up, we shall see on where i put him. Next to folks like Gandalf and Galadriel.

good legolas. id only point out 2 things.

Id throw in trackless to represent his abiliity to walk on snow like he does in FOTR.

and for greater artificer your actually in a game context wasting a point on the feat. since a single power point can give you +4 skill points which is exactly what youve done only your 2 skill points shy. in effect your penalized for taking the feat sicne it has no further benefit.

Well i was thinking of making greater artificer ranked 1 to 5. But i decided to go your route with it, and upd it to a +2 bonus. As for the trackless, your right. I remember than in the books as well. Im going to encorporate that into a set of Elven Boots.

"True-hearted Men, they will not be corrupted. We of Minas Tirith have been staunch through long years of trial. We do not desire the power of wizard-lords, only strength to defend ourselves, strength in a just cause. And behold! In our need chance brings to light the Ring of Power. It is a gift, I say; a gift to the foes of Mordor. It is mad not to use it, to use the power of the Enemy against him. The fearless, the ruthless, these alone will achieve victory. What could not a warrior do in this hour, a great leader? What could not Aragorn do? Or if he refuses, why not Boromir? The Ring would give me power of Command. How I would drive the hosts of Mordor, and all men would flock to my banner!"

Excellent LOTR builds! I especially like the Silvan Elf Physiology container you supplied for Legolas and the Dwarf Physiology container you gave to Gimli. Good job! (I'm thinking of 'borrowing' the Detect Evil ability you gave to Legolas - hope you don't mind. :) ) I started to do something like that myself in my own builds, but my attempts didn't quite come out that good so I went for a different approach.
Also, great quote you supplied for Boromir from the book.

Behold the mighty Dunlow!

I remember when he was a new guy, so wide eyed and unsure in the world. Now over one hundred pages later, he stands tall and proud. Ready to crush all who dare oppose him.
