That's true. I guess when I have the majority of the setting out then I'll work on fights and stuff... and I do have a life outside of this thread too, believe it or not!

Powers & Devices (50pp)

Dream Soul Magician Power Suite (48pp)
Morph 4 (Any Humanoid, Flaw: Action) – Magician’s Veil

-AP: Invisibility 1 – Magician’s Cloak
Super Senses 1 (Dimensional: Dream Dimension) – Magician’s Vision
Datalink +16 (Flaw: Human Computer Systems Only) – Cyber World Uplink

-AP: Telepathy 8 (Flaw: Distracting)
-AP: Mental Blast +8 (Mental Weapon, Flaw: Distracting)
Substance Warp Array
Drain Wisdom +10 (Linked: Confusion +10 (Range: Touch)) – Warp Mind

-AP: Strike +10 (Linked: Stun +5 (Daze Only)) – Warp Matter
-AP: Corrosion +10 (Extended Reach 5, Flaw: Requires Eye Contact, Biological Only) – Weyell
Space Warp
Enhanced Feat (Improved Initiative)
Teleport +10 (Short Range, Easy, Change Velocity, Change Direction, Subtle)

-Unlike most dream soul magicians, Beverly has a secret weapon when it comes to close quarters combat. While her ability to warp material both in the mind and in reality is invaluable, her ace in the hole is always the Weyell, a powerful phototoxic active implant that is capable of reducing virtually any opponent to ashes with only seconds of eye-contact. She is reluctant to use the Weyell but her missions often require it.

Mass-Light Conversion Field (2pp)
Forcefield +6 (Flaw: Side Effect DC =10(+damage bonus) dazzle when damage is saved (-1pp/Rank), DRAWBACK: Power Loss (EMP and Heart Stopping) (-1pp))

-A cybernetic upgrade, the Mass-Light Conversion Field converts attacks into light. The drawback to this is that the light often blinds the field’s user. Beverly’s field light is violet and the implant is located inside her chest.

Complications (Hero) or Plot(s) (Villain)
Plot 1: Hunt the Hunters
Beverly is down on her luck and needs money to keep a box open for herself and her Linda. She takes a job she’d rather not from the Peel Group and finds herself hunting a security squad through the streets. The hit is on someone, a PC or NPC whom the Peel Group has a vendetta against because of his or her past actions. Now the shadowy magician stalks the group and must be stopped one way or another.

Plot 2: Wish World
A magician on the colony of Dawn is studying a new form of cybernetic world technology that would allow the cyber dream experienced by the majority of the human race to increase dramatically in size and scope. Beverly heads out to get it from him first so the Peel Group can ransom it but security troops are called in for a Denorai raid and chaos ensues. A possible element of this plot is a foray into the new dream world where a character’s wishes are reflected in the environment itself.

Complications:
Temper
Reputation – Rebellious Student
Responsibility – Little Sister (Linda Mitchell)

Affiliations
Gomez Tactical Training Program (Student)
Peel ‘Commerce’ Group (Discreet Junior Operative)
Sawyer Electrum (Part-Time Employee)
Elshley Academy for Gifted Dreamers (Student)

Personality Notes
Lonely and sometimes bitter after her single mother abandoned her and her sister four years ago, Beverly is still trying to cope with that blow. She is reserved in classes and violent when angry. She has had to deal with looking out for herself for a while now, and her overall outlook on life is very pessimistic. Still, she has a few powerful skills and has become more upbeat since learning how to use them. This is in spite of the terrible ability to kill trapped within her Weyell implant.

General Notes
As far as dream soul fighters goes, Beverly is the nastiest yet. She packs a corrosion effect that can kill even a fairly tough opponent quickly and her teleport makes it easy for her to use it. She has a dark history of violence and a huge chip on her shoulder when it comes to the government.

Background
Beverly had a rough home life even before her mother abandoned her. She has had to work since she was ten for the family income. Now seventeen, things are looking up if only slightly. She has regular work with the Gomez Tactical Training Program and her jobs for the Peel Group. She even goes to school along with Linda, who is five years younger. In the end, her past has a way of creeping into the present and Beverly doubts her current run of good fortune will last.

Description
Beverly is five feet and seven inches tall. She has dark hair, green eyes, and a solemn expression to go with them.

Great stuff, dweller! I like Beverly a lot, she's got a potent combination of skill expertise and dangerous powers, and the fact that she comes in at a solid PL 10, 150pp is just great.

Your side effect is wrong; the Side Effect is a 2 pp's trait/ for every rank in the flaw. So its only worth 1 rank of the flaw (-1 pp to the final cost), if you want it to be a DC 11 dazzle.

Oops. THat is a holdover from when the number was 1/2 DC damage save. I'm finding it difficult to get the points down on the forcefield, but really all I need is that modifier and a point drawback... hmmm. It is true in the setting that the forcefield shorts out any time the owner's heart stops, but if it is doing its job that really shouldn't be an issue. I guess an EMP would probably short it out too so I'll add that as a drawback for 1pp, and it gives another element of strategy is certain situations.

EDIT: It is done (For all 3 builds). If there is still a problem, someone please let me know. Drawbacks always strike me as sort of fuzzy.

Protection 6 (Impervious)
Strike +12 (Area: Line) – Non-Beam

-AP: Blast +8 (Range: Perception) – Non-Jolt

Affiliations
Denorai Machinists Alliance (Creation)

Personality Notes
Denorai Machine Lions tend to be honorable and scrupulous when it comes to the battlefield. Many Denorai think they are a little stiff as they refuse to enjoy the battles the same way Juggernauts, Dredges and Heliopaths tend to. In the end they do as they’re told however.

General Notes
As a fighting creature the Machine Lion is quite a customer. Combat cyborgs have more trouble with them than Dream Soul Magicians because every magician packs a mental blast but the cyborgs have to go through the tough armor every time they strike the machine lion. Offensively the lions are powerful with an area attack and a perception attack of somewhat less power, and their melee is also excellent. Of course, the main problem with their size is that they tend to fight multiple opponents at once and so, unless they fight in a group they will certainly lose like any lesser minion.

Background
The Machine Lions have artificial personalities created by the Denorai known as Kanus. Because he lacks a number after his name it is assumed Kanus is some form of gestalt Denorai, rather than one of the inner circle or the more common brotherhood.

Description
Machine Lions vary in size and shape, but they tend to move on all fours except when in battle. Their Non-Eyes are the source of their power and the main weapon they use to attack at range. Non-eyes are located in the center of the Machine Lion’s head.

Wow, now that's a tough Minion!
In numbers, I can see them wreaking havoc across a battlefield.

Will we, perchance, see any more of this Kanus or his work?

Oh definitely. I think he is probably the most prolific Denorai machinist, so when I start doing some Gestalt Denorai I'll get to him early on.

The thing about Denorai is that their birth order doesn't always tell the full extent of their powers. Guys and gals like Rignus III and Alku VI are nasty opponents but most non-numbered Denorai make them look... small.

I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait! It has been a while since I got this psyched about a setting for any rule set. Even my inability to actually read the drawbacks/flaws portion of the rulebook properly can't bring me down now!

HQ – The Peel Hub (4ep)
Location: Cyber Jerusalem Thought Banks
Size: Tiny; Toughness: +5
Features: Holding Cells 2, Computer System with Dream World access (Counts as 2), Concealed

Powers & Devices (67pp)

Dream Soul Magician Power Suite (52pp)
Morph 4 (Any Humanoid, Flaw: Action) – Magician’s Veil[/b]
-AP: Invisibility 1 – Magician’s Cloak
Super Senses 1 (Dimensional: Dream Dimension) – Magician’s Vision
Datalink +10 (Flaw: Human Computer Systems Only) – Cyber World Uplink

-AP: Telepathy 5 (Flaw: Distracting)

Chaos Dream Array
Blast +12 (Autofire) (Dynamic) – Personal Tempest

-DAP: Emotion Control +12 (Flaw: Sight Dependant, Extras: Area: Burst, Action: Free Action)
-DAP: Drain +12 (All Mental Stats)
-One of the more destructive Dream Soul Magicians, Nicholas Peel can rend the mind and soul of those he touches with his bare hands as well as being able to send great bursts of heat and cold in tandem to shatter opponents with the so-called Personal Tempest.

Divisor Field Power Suite (15pp) p)
Forcefield +10 (Impervious, Flaw: Unreliable (50% chance of working) Linked: Mind Shield +10 (Flaw: 50% Chance of Working) DRAWBACK: Power Loss in EMP or when Heart Stops (-1pp)[/b]
-AP: Forcefield +10 (Impervious, Flaw: Side Effect (Suffocate +5 on user 1/round) Linked: Mind Shield +10 (Suffocate +5 on user 1/round) DRAWBACK: Power Loss in EMP or when Heart Stops (-1pp)
-The divisor field is the more powerful but also far more unreliable of the two types of field employed by the human race. Usually implanted within the chest, the same place as a Mass-Light field would be, the Divisor Field is far less ubiquitous than its competition, though when it does work it makes its user impressively tough.

Complications (Hero) or Plot(s) (Villain)
Plot 1: Bushwhacker
A friend of Nikolas Peel’s has been killed gruesomely in Cyber Jerusalem’s westward thought bank, where his body had been stored. Now Nikolas wants revenge, but more than that, he simply wants to hurt something. That something might be a player character, a friend of a player character, or anyone else who will draw the players into the mystery.

Plot 2: The Family
Though he is the head of the Peel Group, Nikolas still has to contend with numerous rivals, including the powerful and respected Erynn Family. He has set out to eliminate them once and for all using his resources and violence to crush them. Now the player characters, if security forces, may have to step in to prevent murder, even of criminals. On the other hand, if the player characters are criminals they may find themselves protecting the Erynns or hunting them down at Nikolas’ bidding.

Affiliations
The Peel ‘Commerce’ Group (Leader)

Personality Notes
Orphaned and bitter for his entire life, Nikolas leads his group by example, doing whatever he can to keep himself from slipping into the deep depression that led to him to where he is today. Essentially, he is afraid of being hurt, so he hurts other people.

General Notes
As a fighter, Nikolas has a few superpowerful ways to dispatch opponents but few other abilities. His most powerful attack is probably the Personal Tempest, and he favors it above his other options.

Background
Growing up in Cyber Jerusalem as an Orphan of the Denorai invasion force, Nikolas was moved from the orphanage to a juvenile rehabilitation center after being caught on multiple occasions, torturing other students with his then-just-forming powers. Escaping from the dream world, Nikolas made his way onto the streets of the ‘real’ Cyber Jerusalem and started carving out an empire for himself amidst the homeless and the criminals of the city.

Description
Dark skinned, long haired, and usually wearing a greatcoat, Nikolas Peel would cut an imposing figure were it not for his slight frame and weak limbs. His eyes are brown, as is his hair.

Then, I expected no less from the Dweller.
