This is definitely the fastest growing thread/Mega-Mart (with apologies to Kreuz) and probably will outpace the growth of Starbucks and 7-Eleven combined.

Anyways, very nice work on getting right to and statting up characters almost as soon as they appear in comic form. You're everything I'm not.

Randall, which Aisle would this go in? It's stats for Death Tribble's commission, Star, drawn by Storn...

Who cares?

Ah. Thanks.

Cassiopeia Crichton was an astrophysicist for a prominent space exploration agency. She wasn’t brilliant, but she was more than competent. In addition, she was absolutely fearless, and very driven. She was also, however, known to be less than competent with the physical technology required for space exploration. She was a marvelous theorist, really…, but the gadgets were not her friends.

That being the case, she was probably never going to make it into space, as she certainly wasn’t a pilot. She just didn’t have the hand-eye coordination. Or the reflexes. Or the rapport with the machine. So…there she was, an astrophysicist who would never get to see black sky herself.

Until the Star Corps made her an offer she couldn’t refuse. They needed a woman without fear. A woman who knew what made the insides of stars work, and how to navigate the gulfs between them. A woman willing to give up her humanity and her normal life, in order to fight the villains of a galactic civilization as fractured as our own, and the monsters spawned in the Abyss of space.

She couldn’t say no. Empowered by the harnessed might of an artificial star, channeled through intensive implants and body modifications, she soars the dark of Black Sky…flies in the void without ship or space suit, faster than any human will manage for many years yet. And she defends every star system she can reach from the cosmic level threats her Corps warns her about…though she can, herself, sense them at short range…-1 to notice checks per 10,000’. She can tell almost everything about cosmic level entities and powers within range, and can target them simply based upon their power signature. (Of course, really big threats, like a world eater, have huge minuses to stealth based on size and power…she could notice them from *really* far away.)

Her FTL travel powers are based on entry to a subspace dimension that has different physical laws. When not traveling FTL herself, she can shunt about 2500 lbs of matter into that space, where it remains linked to her, and retrievable.

While I appreciate the props on the growth of the J-Mart, I must admit I am concerned about the comment of being everything you're not, when I so try to mimic your building quality.

However, as I have stated before, I am a hack and do advertise mediocre quality so I guess the statement is valid...Carry on! :D

Actually, I only try to stat up characters like Jason, Bucky or Prime that interest me, whether they are new or not. And newer characters like that usually have limited info, so it's hard not get them mostly right, anyway.

Still working on Winter America, but he should be up tomorrow if all goes well.

Indeed. Second favorite TBP of all time, right behind The Watchmen and just ahead of The Long Halloween and Dark Victory.

And should take a page from Taliesin's book and stat up some Kingdom Come builds.

How about everything I'm not and more? I certainly didn't intend to turn that into a backhanded compliment. It's actually pretty difficult to get both quality and quantity, and your builds have a good serving of both.

I have the overwhelming urge to post a Superman build. After reading Kingdom Come, Secret Identity and... well, that's pretty much it.

 Clark Kent is a man named after Clark Kent of the Superman comics, who, in high school, finds he has Superman's powers - flight, near-invulnerability, super-senses, super-strength, etc.. He goes on to become an author (not a journalist), and marries a woman named Lois. However, since he is a superhero in a world where superheroes are only in comic books (or are supposed to be), he is also chased by government agents, but he later makes a deal with them and bunch of stuff happens. Go buy the book, it's good.

 In the course of the series, Clark Kent does not display as much variety in powers as Superman, but he is still a formidable superhero. He's not as strong or as tough as his mainstream counterpart, and can be knocked out by an electric shock, but in a world where few others have superpowers to match his, he is not to be crossed. What he lacks in might, he makes up for in finesse. He is more skilled than his mainstream counterpart and can burn off the fat on a glass as to not leave any fingerprints.

Wait a minute, isn't Secret Identity's Clark Kent currently Superboy/Man Prime?

Nah, he grew old and had kids and stuff.

Then again, I only read Elsewords stories, so what do I know?

I was just kidding, dude. I am pretty much completely unoffendable or insultable. My ego is Impervious +20. :D

My quality is catching up to my quantity as time goes on, but it had nowhere to go but up as I look at some of my earlier builds...

Comments:
I'm telling you, I am always a day late and a dollar short on my ideas. I was sitting around the other day thinking of someone or something interesting to stat, even though I am the midst of a serious PL10 statting spree. I was just trying to think of something different, then as I was watching HBO’s special about the porn industry (briefly, mind you, I was just flipping through the channels and it caught my eye), it hit me: I need to stat up Jenna Jameson.

But I wanted to take her in a different direction, not just a PL1 adult film actress. I was thinking that maybe she could be a secret agent along the Pamela Anderson VIP route, or something like that. As I was mulling this over, I stopped by my local comic shop and low and behold, there sat the answer to my dilemma. Jenna herself and Virgin comics (insert double entrendre joke here) went and did the work for me. Jenna is lending her likeness and name to a project called Shadow Hunter where a character she helped create is a girl who finds out that she is a demon hunter and…well, she hunts demons while looking hot. Original concept, I know…

I picked up the #0 issue for 25 cents, skimmed through it, took a few liberties and made Jenna herself the character and there you have it. Needs a little clean up, but I think this is a good start. And you better believe she’s going to show up in a story or fight just for the potential comedic effect. Heck, I may have her go a round or two with the Hulk!

Jenna Jameson: Porn star by day, demon huntress by night. Just goes to show you that no matter how odd your ideas may be, someone will have a weirder one. And make the money off of it you should have!
