Now i don't often post an original here over at J-Mart, but i think this one has some potential! Here is my first villain for the paragons setting, i have struggled to build this character concept for quite some time. And i finally think i got it down pretty good now. So i hope you enjoy him, and might want to use him in one of your own games.

Story:
Sean Morgan grew up in a wealthy irish family, that was secretly and highly tied in the irish mob. Suffice to say that he had everything he needed, to make him what he is today. Attempting to make a statement, sean and his group known as the "Hades Faction" took over a power supply station in Russia. But the station blew, when something went wrong. Sean's breakout happened in a split second, as his molecules were torn apart and then reassembled as his body was bathed in cosmic radiation. In the aftermath he gained the ability to control dark energy, giving him the ability to alter gravity, slow time, and create powerful blasts of radiation. He could also transform himself into a cosmic state, which grants him Life support, incredible speeds of flight, and super strength. His weakness to high electrical fields, is due to the positive energy slowing down his negative energy profile. Now Sean has never been tied to the mob with any solid evidence, though he is watched by several agencies of his movements. Its his actions as "Nega Lord" that has most people concerned, his powers are giving his group a quick boost in the right direction. But he is butting heads with the russian mob, so he has moved his base of operations into Nova Scotia. Extending his hand into the American irish mob connections he has. On the other flip of the coin, Sean Morgan, is a wealthy single socialte irishman. Who flaunts his wealth, in clubs, fancy restaurants, women, and extravagant parties from time to time.

-- Q can literally do what ever they wish, create matter, destroy it, or modify the principles of matter energy, etc to do just about anything. Most commonly a Q can use any power, and it usually has the Perception ranged extra on it (if it does not already have it). And it can have a rank up to 20 in PL. They commonly use this power to take on a coporeal form, to interact with other species.


The statistics are given for a Q in its true form, as an energy being having no strength or constitution score. This is pretty much a bare bones version, and this is the only race i'd give the reality altering powers of the variable power.

ok so i know its a little early, but for the next election of the jmart world i would like to start campaigning for John McClain for the presidency. I do this because he would not take anything from anyone and that is bad ass

Duly noted. However, Mr. McClane, Mr. Norris and a few other fine gentlemen (and women) are going to be pretty busy with the current duties in high positions in the America of Earth-P, Earth-J and Earth-217.

2012 should be a big election year! I just my thread is still going then. At least in Thorpacoverse time. :D

If you have never seen Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace on Adult Swim, SCI-FI or on BBC4, you don’t know what you are missing. But don’t worry, fellow travelers, I’ll tell you what you’re missing; you are missing the funniest freakin’ show ever made. And I’ve seen Joanie Love Chachi, so I know from whence I speak…

To sum up, Garth Marenghi is a fictional prolific horror writer played by comedian Matthew Holness. Pompous and self-absorbed, he created, directed and starred a show in the 80’s called Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace, a show about strange happenings in Darkplace Hospital. His character, Dr. Rick Dagless M.D. is a hysterical pastiche of 80’s action hero/TV miracle worker doctors; a loose cannon with a heart of gold who always is there to save the day. The show within a show’s humor is based on its spot on parody of 80’s culture, bad TV production and stilted acting which all combines to make several laugh out loud moments in every one of the 6 classic (and far too few) episodes.

Dagless is a Falklands veteran, who in addition to being the top doctor at Darkplace, also dabbles in the black arts and accidentally opened the gates of Hell right at Darkplace during a ritual with a friend, who, not coincidentally, exploded in the first episode. A lover, a fighter, and one helluva doctor, Dr. Rick Dagless M.D. is a man’s man of the first order and the Lord help us all when he’s no longer around to protect us from such threats as undead janitors, telekinetically controlled staplers, Scotsmen and green gasses that make people turn into broccoli.

And yes, believe it or not, those are all antagonists from the show. You just HAVE to see it to appreciate it. And of course, our friends at You Tube can give you a taste for free:

Here is Darkplace’s second hottest doctor, Dr. Lucien Sanchez, played by the actor Todd Rivers (portrayed by comedian/actor/singer Matt Berry). Sanch served alongside Dagless in ‘Nam.’ A student of martial arts and Eastern lore, he has pledged a sacred oath to uphold justice, which he does his best to keep.

The actor Todd Rivers is the star of over sixty horror films, and was the bright B-movie hope of his generation, until drink and womanising took its toll. Recent appearances in The Bill and Holby City, however speak of an actor returning to his best form. An accomplished rock singer/songwriter, he is perhaps most famous for his Lucky Dip LP, featuring the tracks Hot Woman (When You’re Going Down) and One Track Lover, which is featured in Episode 6 of Darkplace.

Look Dagless you're an excellent doctor, but you're also a livewire maverick, who when he's not bucking the system, is biting the hand that feeds, which in your case, is this hand (he holds up his free hand, the camera follows). Now I'm not about to tell the immediate family of the deceased that we're going to have to burn what remains of his body in order to close the portals to another dimension. I just won't do it. This hospital's got a reputation, which I intend to keep. I've yet to see any demons on the ward, and I'm particularly observant. So go back to your lab and make a pill that can cure madness, or I'll kick your arse so hard you'll be able to build a pool in the footprint. Understood?

Comments:
The Darkplace Hospital Administrator, and a real ball buster, Thornton Reed, played by Garth's publisher, Dean Learner (portrayed by EXTREMELY talented British comedian/writer/actor Richard Ayaode). Thornton is an engaging character, not just because of his stature and his connection to Won Ton but because he might just be the worst acted character in TV history. I can't do it justice in words, you just have to see it to appreciate the comic genius involved in the scenes he's in.

As a build, he, like the other Darkplace characters, are probably two levels too high, but hey, if you can't overpower your favorites, who can you overpower? *smile*

I wanted to get this build in before Black History Month ended, but oh well. The man who’s too funky for his own damn self, Undercover Brother.

Didn't want to like the movie, but I couldn't help myself. Not even going to get into the plot, if you haven't seen it, shame on you. Undercover Brother's schtick as you would expect is the art of disguise and mimicry and his 70's style black Kung Fu. And the fact that he is too smooth with the ladies. As White She-Devil says, "once you've loved Undercover Brother, there is no other".

Gonna be persona non grata the rest of the week. Business trip again. I'll be building in the evenings when I'm not "networking" (otherwise known as hitting the bars) so I will have a ton of builds to post when I get back this weekend. Well i can't believe im doing this, but lol, here's the "Gang" from Scooby Doo. At a special request!.

Additional Notes:
I pondered using a Boost power to bump up all physical abilities, flaw it with a limited (after eating a scooby snack). And with 1 pt in slow fade. This works out to 1 pp/rank +1 (if you want to use it). This might be more appropriate with later series.
Extra Effort:
Scooby can use extra effort to do a number of amazing things, such as use his tail as partially prehensile (1/2 cc). Use a claw to pick a lock.

Additional Notes
Later on in later renditions, daphne becomes a bit of a martial artist. So we can bump her up to a +3 combat attack bonus. In addition Defensive Attack, and 2 ranks of dodge focus. Oh yeah and her purse and clothing, can be used as a number of interesting effects. Which almost makes her purse, like a hero's utility belt.

I wanted to get this build in before Black History Month ended, but oh well. The man who’s too funky for his own damn self, Undercover Brother.

Didn't want to like the movie, but I couldn't help myself. Not even going to get into the plot, if you haven't seen it, shame on you. Undercover Brother's schtick as you would expect is the art of disguise and mimicry and his 70's style black Kung Fu. And the fact that he is too smooth with the ladies. As White She-Devil says, "once you've loved Undercover Brother, there is no other".

Back Story: Grace is one of the last surviving Rathumi, a race of insect winged humans that existed Eons ago, when the world was still ripe with magic.She is considered the "chosen one" of her people, and is identified as such by the full dragonfly tattoo on her back and the dragonfly wing tatoos on her face. During the "Dark Age", when magic was almost wiped from the world, Grace fell into a suspened animation, not waking until 2211 A.D.
She became aware of Makikia, the first Rathumi born in eons, and realizes that the fate of renewing magic to this world rests within him.

**Grace is one of my favorite characters, and I have actually based a DnD race on the Rathumi just because of her. She is a very powerful sorceress, as well as a decent warrior. She was also a Princess among the Rathumi people back when Magic litered the world, as well as the "chosen one" of her people. She is thousands of years old, but thanks to her immunity to aging, she appears as an atheltic woman in her late 20's. She also has the rare ability to fall into suspended animation, though she can't activate it at will.

:arrow: EDIT: 3-5-08: I reversed my earlier descision on just giving her a full variable power. She still has one, but now it runs off her Magic ranks, and it only gives her 21 pp's in the variable pool to play with, which is below the 32 pp pool that her 16 ranks of magick gives.
I am more comfertable with this, as it lowers her a level, and is just all-around cleaner IMO.
