Comments: Well I went to see Zombieland last Friday (I highly recommend it by the way!) and was pretty much statting up Woody Harrelson's character Tallahassee in my head the whole time lol. Now he's only going to be hitting his offensive caps when he's going toe to toe with zombie but that's to be expected. Most the time he'll be using a gun of some sort to mow down the poor flesh-eating bastards, but he's also pretty good at killing zombies with just about anything else lying around be it hedge clippers or even a banjo :wink:. Fun little note: most of his skills will hit professional levels when up against zombies as well. And as always all comments/critiques welcome and wanted!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I was using Thorp's Split Attack with Dual Weapons house rule to be found here.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

Comments:This is Scarlet, sometimes ally and sometimes opponent of Moon Knight. She is a vigilante that hunts down criminals, especially drug dealers whom she blames for turning her son into a criminal. She actually shot her own son to save Moon Knight. Her main weapon is her crossbow. After she kills someone she marks the wall either with lipstick or blood with a red S. Her base of operations is always out of a abandoned church. At one point in time she tried to be a nun. She also had minions once. Women who were on the streets that she trained. They were decent fighters and would use tire irons or there long fingernails while fighting. They did not seem easily intimidated either. Her mental link with Moon Knight is erratic. Usually they communicate through dreams and have the ability to locate each other in times of crisis. I really like this character. Not to many Moon Knight characters on the forum that I know of.

Nice stuff, guys. I'm going to see Zombieland next week and I can't wait, I hear it's hysterical. And I like the Stained Glass Scarlet, which amazingly enough, I have never heard of her, which is rare with my millions of years of comicdom. :shock:

Comments: You didn't think I could let my main J-Mart be bereft of builds did you? Don't worry, I'm still going to posting builds here that don't quite make the cut for my main setting, or if I'm still debating their place in the Thorpacoverse. Or when I decide to stat up the Goonies or something, it'll still go here!

OK, first off before we get into Congorilla here, James Robinson is a deity. His taking over of the Superman titles and now his Justice League: Cry for Justice are just brilliant. As much as we all love Superman, it’s actually hard to make him interesting on his own now, but Robinson did just that. And Cry For Justice, teaming Ollie and Hal up to spin off their own version of the League, along with bringing in Ray Palmer, Freddy Freeman and Supergirl are fine choices, too. However, my favorite thing he’s done is bring back Congorilla and Mikaal Tomas, the (sixth?) Starman.

Congorilla is a golden age character originally known as Congo bill, a pulp type hero. During his adventures in Africa, Bill received the ability to call upon the powers of a great gorilla god when needed. He basically swapped minds with the gorilla. At some point, his real body died and now his mind is trapped in the gorilla god’s body, similar to Ken Hale from Marvel comics. He is now searching for the killer of his friend, Freedom Beast (successor to B’Wanna Beast, who are coming up soon as well) and his gorilla tribe which led him to a confrontation with Mikaal Tomas, who was searching for the killer of his lover. After the misunderstanding was cleared up, they team up and are both are searching for the killer, who also happens to be the person GL, GA and the rest are searching for, and soon their paths will all cross and a new League will be born. And thank goodness for that, McDuffie fell apart with his latest version of the main book and now Robinson will be taking over in October and I’m sure he’ll straighten it out.

Comments: Here is Mikaal Tomas, the (sixth?) Starman. He had a run for a bit in a Starman series, then lost his memory and disappeared. Or was that vice versa? Regardless, he’s back in the Cry of Justice mini-series and so far, Robinson has done him (no pun intended) justice as I mentioned above. He and Congorilla have teamed up and seem to be going for a Booster/Blue Beetle thing without most of the silliness.

He has slightly enhanced strength and toughness due to his alien heritage but his money power is his Blast.

Never heard of Stained Glass Scarlet. I am shocked! Shocked! OK maybe not that shocked. I really did not know much of her either. They did have a writeup for her in the old marvel rpg that is how I knew of her. Might be the first obscure character I built that you didn't know of.

I'll get back to Bleach in the future, I just have building ADD and tend to fade on certain themes after a few builds. I'm keeping up with the series on Adult Swim and I am digging the Hueco Mundo arc. I'll have to drop my Ichigo build soon and then work up some Arrancars.

CommentsThis is the Two-Legged Rat a Speedball enemy. He is obsessed with killing cats. Speedball accidentally ran into him in the park when he was on a killing spree. Later on he became part of the Speedball Revenge Squad. I am somewhat temped to stat them up. Really weak but funny characters. Once I saw this character I just had to build him. Would be fun to use as a joke villain.

Comments: And here, we have New Jersey ninja princess Kozue Kaburagi, the third of Emp's circle of friends. I was VERY tempted to make some of her Mad Ninja Skillz into actual powers, given what she's demonstrated in the comic (identifying someone a few feet away by scent alone, consummating a marriage while disguised as the groom, etc.), but to keep her on a level with T-Boy, I decided against that and found feats that would do the job equally well.

In the comic, 'Jette has a selection of traditional ninja weaponry to choose from, but in most situations uses unarmed attacks, shurikens, or a weapon she picks up. She's a decent street-level brawler and can still hang with minor capes should the need arise, though with her stats, she wouldn't last long against major supers.

As I continue to ponder the overall direction of the J-Mart Franchise, one route I am considering for the original J-Mart is a conversion to a smaller variant of the Grand Index of The Heavens. Seeing as how we alread have many versions of the big name characters here, I figure why not bring in some more and make it easier for people find characters to reference and for me to promote other threads while I'm goofing around here. 8)

So to start, I am soliciting any and all build of V, since we are coming up on the 5th of November. I am going to work up one myself, but I thought I would throw an offer/build challenge for anyone to whip up a build of our favorite verbose and virtuous vigilante and post it here.

Shortly thereafter, I'll throw out a request for Superman builds, Batman builds, etc. so that they don't come in too fast and maybe I can manage to keep up and build up a good set up of each character without having the overwhelming task of managing thousands of links at time.

However, do note that I just got an early Christmas present of a PS3, so I will be distracted for a while until the newness wears off, so I may get off to a slow start... :wink:
