Seriously, it is good to have you back, old friend.

These were created for a Star Wars game, hence the Galaxy/system stuff, but they give you a good idea of what I'm going off of in terms of scale.

You falter me, AmericanYeti. I am just acting politely, as I was taught by me parents.
I hope you update your story soon, by the by.

Notes: Just a little bit of expansion on my newer take on building, I feel like this laissez-faire approach creates more diversity between characters. With the sometimes wildly varying offensive and defensive PL’s, one PL 12 hero is going to look very different from another, and even more so than a PL 13. Also, some builds will be more or less powerful than their PL’s would indicate. For example, Captain America and Thor are only a PL apart, but you look at the matchup and Thor would hand Cap his ass. Not that that’s any slight on the Star-spangled Avenger. He’s still a stud and contributes to a team way more than just an attack bonus. While he’s a deadly combatant, his true value is as a leader and strategist. He makes the rest of the team better. As far as build specific notes, I’m pretty sure I’ve gone the Extended Reach Strike route for the shield before. He has two ways he can use his shield: a short range bouncing attack that doubles as the melee weapon and the long range hurl. The reason I did this was so he could still use takedown attack on the throw because he always bounces it off of three or four guys.

I like your take on Captain America, AmericaYeti. You're right: he's a great fighter, but truth be told, his real strength is that of a leader. No one has the experience, moral character, or confidence to lead like the Cap. Even Superman takes second place to him.

Good to see you back, Yeti. Nice Cap, too. I went down that path of splitting OPL and DPL for a while and it's a fun way to build, as well as really show differentiation between characters like you mentioned.

Now quit goofing off and get that story finished! You can't lead me on for 2 years and not let me see the end! It's like my college dating life all over again!
