Thanks for bringing that to my attention Jack. I had originally given Sabretooth a CON of 20, and when I changed that I forgot to change his Regen bonus.

It happens. Elric had to correct me like 6 times on the same build, once. It was embarassing.

THe many-headed Hydra...

Joesphy Chapman thought to himself that this was just another in a long line of dangerous, border-line suicidal missions for the Crown. Handed to him by the always smarmy Pete Wisdom, it seemed a challenge to, but within, his talents. Sneak into Hydra's new London base, do what damage he could, and get out. Rumors were flying that Madame Hydra, aka Viper was heading this particular chapter, although if anyone knew why, they hadn't told him. And odds are they know about as much as me, which is why this mission is so damn hasty, He thought, slipping inside an abandonded sewer tunnel which he had been told led into the base's bathroom. From there, it was a matter of moving stealithly, which, although he was clad in armor and carrying a fair amount of weapons, was rather easy for the experienced agent. In just a few moments, he had reached a room that looked quite promising.

Some distance away was Viper herself, in front of a large map of London, specifically the Underground. Nearby were ten men clad in HYDRA uniforms, cradling guns and looking about rather non-chalantly. Unsuspecting, and so much easier the pickings for it... Sneaking quietly into the room, the third bearer of the name Union Jack hid behind a metal support column, hands on his SA80. Letting out a slight breath, he clicked the selector lever to automatic. And that was all it took.

Trained ears alert for danger, even here in her current seat of power, Viper turned, ready for combat. Behind a pillar she could see a blue-clad form, clearly not one of hers. Deciding to shoot first and ask questions later she drew a force blaster from her hip with a speed that would make Anny Oakely herself proud. The bolt of concussive energy slammed Chapman's shoulder, but most of it hit the column and the rest was harmlessly dissapated by his armor.

Acting quickly, the flag-clad man dashed out from his cover, drawing and arming a grenade with practiced precision, letting the projectile fly in one smooth motion. With a soft thunk it landed near the emerald-haired woman's legs. There were shouts from her followers just before it went off, sending shrapnel throughout the room. More screams erupted as the ten men fell in various poses of agony. A piece of hot metal dug itself into Viper's side, but she merely grimaced, an expression that soon turned into a scowl of anger. "I'd like to kill you myself, fool, but I'm not adverse to having witnesses for your demise."

With those less than kind words, she fired at him again, reaching down to her belt as she did so, finger depressing a small, red button. The bolt deflected off of Union Jack's chestplate as a great bleating alarm began to sound. This cannot be good... thought Chapman, taking a calm step towards her and letting fly with a short burst from his rifle. Despite the fact she wanted him dead, he still found a certain grace in her movements as she contorted her body, letting his bullets sail by ineffectually.

Viper smiled as she drew a slender sword, letting fly with a blaster shot that caught UJ in the shoulder, in a gap in his armor. Feeling a surge of bruising pain, he bit back a grunt of pain under his mask and let loose with his gun, emptying his clip with a deafening dakka-dakka sound. She was still upright afterwards, but he saw blood on her shoulder, so she had to be hurt, at least.

And hurt she was, and angry besides. Her anger pierced the viel of pain in her mind like a foglight as she dashed towards him, dropping her pistol to get a better hold on her sword. Letting his rifle fall form his hands, Chapman drew his silver dagger, parrying the blow and stepping inside her guard, brushing her blade aside as he cut at her head. He thought he nicked her temple, so great was the gout of blood that resulted, but she just seemed angrier. Still, he was confident in his chances.

And that's when things really got bad.

He couldn't count how many men entered the room, next, so great were thier numbers, but he knew all too well what they would say, the wankers.

"HAIL HYDRA!!"

Distracted a tad by these new arrivals, Chapman was unable to move out of the way of Viper's swinging blade, which slashed his throat, missing his vital arteries but drawing a gasp of pain from him nonetheless. He tried to bring his arms up into a guard position, but also kept a wary eye on the soldiers, the nearest of whom opened fire. Bullets wizzed by the two, and Chapman felt pain radiating from his back. Still, he narrowed his eyes and focused, stabbing at Viper's hip, the blade biting into her muscled thigh before he pulled back.

With a shout, nearly a scream of rage, she swung at him again, the narrow blade seemingly like quicksilver in her hands as she cut a winding snake-like gash down his arm. Someone shot Chapman again, and he knew that he was in serious, if not fatal danger. He had one chance, and even that might not help him.

He stepped forward again, knowing her longer reach made staying at arm's length deadly for him. With a surge of strength Union Jack swung again, hitting Viper square in the chest with all the might of the Pendragon that flowed through his body. With a crash, the lithe woman gasped and nearly flew back from the impact, sprawling into a HYDRA soldier and collapsing into her heap. Which was, despite being supremely satisfying to watch for UJ, actually bad for him. Because he was still surrounded, only now they didn't have to worry about hitting their leader when they opened up on him. He reached for a grenade, knowing grimly this was likely his last day on Earth, when he heard a voice, weakened by pain but still coursing with venom.

"Hold your fire!" Incredulously, he watched Viper on the ground, unable to stand but looking no less dangerous for it. "Let him walk out of here, unharmed for any man who robs me of killing this one shall soon follow him into the grave." Fixing each other with determined stares-Chapman's for justice, Madame Hydra's for vengance, they remained locked with the other's eyes as Chapman slowly exited, dagger in hand and arms in a high guard stance.

After he was gone worried HYDRA soldiers informed their mistress that medical help was on the way. Seemingly ignoring them, she spoke to her senior henchman. "Find him when I am well again, and then bring him before me, beaten but unbroken. That is a pleasure I want for myself."

•Okay, you know what? 100 minions may be a bit much. Regardless, I liked this fight. It was brutal, and although at first I thought there shouldhave been more feinting and stuff like that, I realizied that both combatants were busy doing something besides just attacking. Switching weapons, moving around, and plus, it was a short fight. If UJ hadn't taken her out with that last hit, he would've been dead. D-E-D, dead.

•This is definitely not over, either. Not only is UJ gonna yell at Pete Wisdom for a few days or so, while in hospital, but Viper now has a score to settle. Sabretooth v. Punisher will be up tomorrow, cause its late here, and then after that, I'm thinking Viper and Baron Strucker against UJ and either Wisdom, or Barnes. Suggestions?

Union Jack is sneaking into HYDRA's lair I'm gonna say three successful Stealth checks will get him into Viper's main room. He gets a Stealth check of 24, then rolls a natural 20, then an adjusted 34. Against the HYDRA agent's untrained Notice rolls, I'm gonna say he makes it.
Viper and UJ are 50 feet apart, he's hiding behind a pillar. Viper has ten Hydra Agents with her. The others can arrive in, let's say, three rounds. UJ makes a stealth check to get surprise. He rolls a twenty-three, Viper gets a natural 20, for 29 total. She sees him and they roll for initiative. Her Agents somehow get a 20 as well, but are still surprised.

Round 1.-Roll for Init Viper gets a 21, Union Jack a 9.

Viper will draw her blaster pistol and take a shot at him. He's behind cover, but flat-footed, so his Defense is a 19. She rolls a 17, for a total of 30 and hits. Save against DC 20...he gets a 21 and makes it. UJ will then move from cover and throw a frag grenade. Under Area Attack rules, I'm gonna say he can accurately target her, so her and her goons will roll Reflex saves. DC 15, and Viper rolls a 3, for a total of 12. Her surprisingly flat-footed minions are out. Viper, Toughness DC 20, gets a 16, fails by 4, Bruised, Injured. UJ is also in the radius, barely but he makes his Reflex save, and at the furthest reaches of the Explosion, passes the DC of 16 by one.

Viper-Bruised 1, Injured 1,
Terrorists-dead.

Round 2. Viper shoots again and takes a move action to hit an alarm button she carries with her. Rest of her terrorists (90 strong) will arrive at the beginning of Round 5. She hits him with a 24, he rolls Toughness and makes his save with a 25. UJ will move about twenty feet closer to her and fire his rifle. 9+12, that's a 21, and he misses by 1.

Round 3. Viper draws her sword in her off-hand and fires her blaster pistol again. She hits with an adjusted 28, UJ fails by two, bruised and Injured. He shoots again, this time Aiming as a Full action, +2 to hit, and gets a 3. HP to re-roll, and rolls a 4. Luckily, that's a 14 thanks to the Hero Point, plus 12 and 2 for Aiming, so that's a 28 and he hits. Since its Autofire and he hit by 6, that's +3 to damage, for a DC of 23. At -1 to her save, Viper rolls, gets an adjusted 18, fails by 5, is Stunned, Bruised and Injured. Fiat to act next round, HP for UJ.

Viper-Bruisedx2, Injured x2
Union Jack-Bruised, Injured

Round 4. Viper drops her pistol, moves into melee and attacks with her sword. She misses. UJ drops his rifle, draws his dagger and attacks. He gets a 3, HP to re-roll, hits with an adjusted 29. Viper saves at -2 against DC 22. She fails by 5, is Stunned, Bruised, and Injured. Fiat to shake off Stun. HP to UJ

Viper-Bruised x3, Injured x3
Union Jack-Bruised, Injured

Round 5. Viper's terrorists arrive, get a 17 for their initiative, so they'll go between Viper and Union Jack. Viper Aggressively Power Attacks for 2 and 3, respectively, is at -1 to hit, +3 to damage. Gets an adjusted 30, hits, UJ rolls save against DC 24, at -1, fails by 7, Stunned, Bruised, and Injured. He'll use his HP to recover from Stun. The terrorists (who are armed with SMGs and armored jumpsuits) are stacked 5 deep, in ranks of 18, so that's 18 Aggressive (+2 ATK/-4DEF) attacks UJ, -4 for shoooting into melee, and they need 18 or better. Four hit, UJ saves against DC 19, makes three of his saves, fails the last one by two, is bruised and injured. UJ attacks Viper Accurately for 2, gets an adjusted 26, hits, Viper rolls save at -3 against DC 20, fails by 4, Injured, Bruised.

Viper-Bruisedx4, Injured x4
Union Jack-Bruisedx3, Injuredx3

Round 6 Viper will Power Attack for 3, rolls a 1, Fiat to re-roll, hits, UJ rolls save against DC 24 at -3, fails by 5, Stunned, Bruised, and Injured. He'll again use his HP to recover from Stun. 18 terrorists fire again, four hit him again. He makes all but one again, fails this one by 4, another Bruised and Injuerd. He's gonna go for broke here, Aggresive for 2 and Power for 3 (-1 to hit, +3 damage, -4 to defense), gets an adjusted 23, just hits Viper, who has to roll Toughness against DC 25, rolls an adjusted 12, fails by 13, she is Staggered, Disabled, and Stunned. Knockback will send her into a terrorist, which is a hardness of let's say 4 (that's their toughness anyway) so she has to make a save against DC 19 at -5. Fails by 6, she's stunned, brusied and prone. UJ is in no condition to fight her minions, so I'm gonna call this a draw.

Viper-Bruisedx5, Injuredx4, Staggered, Disabled
Union Jack-Bruisedx5, Injuredx5

And I loved:

Very British.

I wish UJ featured in comics a lot more...

Anyway, I vote for Barnes to partner UJ in the rematch. Now bring on Punisher v Sabretooth!

•Natasha Romanoff, a leading figure of Marvel's espionage circles. She was a well-trained Soviet agent, one of their first costumed soldiers, in fact, but she defected to the West, partially for her love of the Avenger, Hawkeye. Although they're no longer together, she reamins an important figure in the Marvel U, and was at one point temporary director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

•She's one of the best at what she does, and off the top of my head, I can't really think of any who are better. Nick Fury probably knows more, but she's the one out there gathering the information, being all stealthy and what-not. Her signature has been her Widow's Bite bracers, which let her shoot a harmful, potnetially deadly ray, and also let her swing, ala DD, Spider-man, what have you. Also, her costume has suction cups that let her walk on walls, and she's a formidiable ranged opponent. Above all, she should be used smartly and steathily, taking full advantage of her powerful Sneak Attack.

•Here we have Arana, a young teenagers given spider-powers and at one point, told that, with great power comes great responsibility. Remind you of anyone? Still, she's a fairly interesting character, if only because she's simply a Latina version of a far more interesting character. Plus, I find the artwork to be fairly impressive, which is a bit of a rarity for me with newer comics.

•She's got decent strength, but she's best at dodging and taunting. I like her power-set because its similiar to Spiderman's but she doesn't have his wealth of experience and she hasn't (yet) experienced power-creep. Really, her Toughness should just be a tad higher, but I didn't want her to be above PL 8, cause I like low-level characters. She'll get a play-test soon, after Sabretooth/Punisher, which I haven't done yet cause I want it to be really awesome, which requires me to *shudder* think about it a lot.

•Cole Cash was a member of the elite military task force, Team Seven, given the dirtiest jobs and eventually developing psychic powers as a result. For a while, Cole was losing his mind after the Team disbanded, and he was the first, and I believe only, man to ever join the Coda, an elite female assassin group, where he calmed his mind and learned to lock away his mental powers. Since then, Grifter, as he is now known, has become a member of the WildC.A.T.S, fighting alongside the likes of Spartan and Ladytron as a greatly experienced and lethal combatant.

•Ranged combat is his speciality and I gave him the sights on his Device because, well, Wildstorm characters should have laser sights on their guns. And a bunch of other accessories as well, but those are the most important. In combat, he can shoot, causing impressive damage, and he can fight hand-to-hand as well, not to mention he's got some impressive skills and he can Taunt with profiecency, given his smart-ass nature. He's always been one of my favorite Wildstorm characters, and my favorite WildC.A.T. since he shot Max Faraday (who was basically the Scourge of the Universe at the time) in the face like he was popping his gum.

•This is Bean Bandit, from the OAV Riding Bean as well as Gunsmith Cats. In the city of Chicago, when you need to transport a person or thing reliably, quickly, and with no questions asked, Bean, also known as The Roadbuster, is the one to call. He'll take any job, legal or illegal, although he doesn't care much for running drugs. As such, he can be used as a source of information or even an antagonist in a street-level setting.

•When thinking of Bean, I'm reminded of something once said by the Waco Kid. 'If you shoot him you'll just make him mad.' Already tough and burly by his unique heritage (said to be a mixture of all the best traits of the best races), he adorns himself with a jacket layered with Kevlar and titanium, weighted in the fashion of many anime characters, and even his headband and gloves are armored. He can throw a knive through a car door, by virtue of a Feat of my invention which allows him to add his strength bonus to throwing damage. He's a fairly simple low-level character, but good at what he does and so cool I'll just have to play-test him sometime soon.

I like the grifter build, though your missing the air filter on his mask. But that can easily be covered by your Equipment points. 8) I'd pondered doing a few Wild Cats Builds. But never really got the motivation to do so, and really didn't have enough information to go off of. Though i did read the comics, and it was pretty cool at first. But then they started evolving some of the characters, like a bad case of "Marvel comics" .

I hope to see your take on Priss, aka "Vodo" if possible, Void, or Lord Emp.

•Its like this: There was once a Kherubium warrior called Yohn Kohl, whose prowess in combat was so respected, the race modeled their 'Spartan' series of android guards after him. On Earth, he became John Colt, a member of Team 1, eventually losing his life in combat. His mind, however, had already been copied by Lord Emp, who then downloaded it into a Spartan android, where he was booted up in the 90s, and eventually became leader of the WildC.A.T.s. He's died a few times since then, but his mind has been transferred. Also, he eventually merged with the being known as Void, gaining far greater powers.

•Man, is he expensive. He costs more than my Superman build, though Clark could take him in a fight. Its all the other things that make him so expensive. This is Spartan post his fusion with Void, because that's the form I've had the most exposure with him. He's strong enough that punches from Fairchild don't even phase him, he's gone toe-to-toe with Mr. Majestic and won, he's put the smack-down on Apollo, and he's generally one of the major BAs in the Wildstorm universe. Also, he has lots of influence, but I attribute that to stocks and what-not that he inherited from Emp, so it woun't be reflected here. But still, he's got a wealth of powers, although I may do a version of him pre-Void, as well as the lovely lady herself.

•Selina Kyle is a long-standing figure in the DCU world, or at least its underworld. At first just a simple burglar with a whip, over time she has became a vigilante of sorts, from anti-villian to anti-hero, less obsessed with the cat theme (no Cat-illac, for example) but still with the whip and still one of the Batman's most notiorous foes, and perhaps his most famous lover.

•Well, she's inexpensive for her level, and only meets her caps defensively. Even with Sneak Attack, offensively, she's like a 7.5, but still with her impressive ability to feint, she's not one to be trifled with, and in a street-level setting she shines. Characters might be able to out-fight her, but they'd be hard pressed to see through her tricks, or catch sight of her crimes. I gave her extra ep and the Wealth benefit for her cat's claws, infravision goggles, what-have you. And anything she can't buy, she can always steal.

•Here he is, the Amazing, the Spectacular, the Sensational Spiderman! Nerdy highschool student Peter Parker, bitten by a radioactive spider, and well, you should know the rest. He's Marvel's flagship character, and despite being kinda shunned in his own universe, is a big hit in the real world.

•And he's another expensive, powerful character, which in my mind, makes sense. He's got lots of experience and a fair amount of raw power, mostly because he's strong, and quick, and relatively tough, and smart. Kinda like Batman with the dial turned up a tad in some areas, but turned down in others. He's hard to hit, and hard to catch flat-footed as well, thanks to those handy-dandy spider-senses. Still, he shouldn't be too powerful when it comes to combat, relying more on dodging his enemy and then coming up with some sort of plan to take out the members of his rather powerful rouge's gallery.

•Sort of a gangland Lex Luthor, Wilson Fisk has ruled New York crime in the Marvel U for a long time. For a while, he was the head of huge gangs, giant corporations, and had massive political influence. However, lately he's been on the outs, and for the moment, it seems like his life of crime is more or less finished. But odds are he'll be back to bother Spider-man or Daredevil before too long.

•He's not too shabby in a fight, which seperates Fisk from other influenantial mastermind schemer types. He was at first a main foe of ol' Webhead, but eventually became more focused on fighting Daredevil, even deducing hornhead's secret identity. He's a deadly adversary, because not only could he crush one's head like a grape, he could just hire somebody like Electro or Bullseye to ice one without haivng to get personally involved.
