Beast of Kilimanjaro
PL 15 162

Abilities
Strength 23, Stamina 15, Agility 1, Dexterity 1, Fighting 7, Intellect 0, Awareness 2, Presence -1

Powers
Huge Permanent Innate Growth 8 17
Indestructible Protection 12 (Impervious Toughness 21), Immunity 11 (life support, aging) 44
Animal Senses Senses 2 (Acute Scent, Infravision) 2
Groundstrike (AE of Strength Damage) Burst Area Affliction 15 (Resisted by Fortitude, Vulnerable/Defenseless, Instant Recovery, Limited-both the Beast and targets must be in contact with the ground) 1

Advantages: All-out Attack, Fearless, Improved Grab, Power Attack, Ranged Attack 6, Startle

Skills: Intimidation 12 (+15), Perception 4 (+6), Investigation 8 (+8)

Offense
Initiative +1
Unarmed +7 Damage 23

Defense
Dodge 3 (6), Parry 3
Toughness 27, Fortitude 15, Will 6 (5)

Abilities 64+Powers 64+Advantages 11+Skills 12+Defenses 11=162

Complications
Weakness Daka Crystals drain the Beast's Agility and Dexterity at a rank of 1 per round. This can leave the creature totally unable to move, and the rate of decrease may increase given certain concentrations of the crystals.
Rage While the Beast is not quite the unthinking monster it appears, what intelligence it does have is constantly drive by anger and the urge for seemingly mindless destruction. Its cunning only extends to battle.

•Another Freedom's Most Wanted baddie, the Beast of Kiliminjaro is a classic giant monster to throw at your heroes. He also has added plot hooks-where did he come from? Some alien race seeking to create a living weapon? Why does it only cause destruction when its mind is capable of more? The threat of an entire army of the creatures lurking out there somewhere makes an excellent doomsday scenario for the PCs to try and avert.

Cool! 8) You did a conversion of the Tick-tock doc. I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who so it was a pleasant surprise to see a expy of him in Freedoms Most Wanted. I could easily see Doctor Who having similar stats. I guess someone in Green Ronin is also a Doctor Who fan.

I also forgot to mention the nice work you did on the Serpent Queen. She's perfect for the Kobra Cult or a Egyptian theme game in DC adventures.

Glad you like em!

As far as Dr. Who goes, I also thought that Dr. Tomorrow was supposed to be an expy of the Doctor as well, seeing as how he's a guardian of Time. I know some people have thought of him that way, anyhow.

Ha! I Love the Beast of Kilimanjaro! DNAC's illustration is perfect. It's a giant Kirby-esque monster (you can tell by the fact it wears short pants for some reason) from another world. Awesome.

Hey, he's a monster, not a pervert.

I'm glad you like him. I'll be doing some more Freedomverse characters for a little while (the Annihilists, some more FMW guys, and so on), and then I'll tackle some characters from Freedom Force, cause I loved that game.

•The Dragon of the Terminus, Mandragora used to be a great hero on his world-the Dragonblood, bringing the hi-tech world of man and the magical lands of the dargons together. He gained his power by eating the heart of a great Dragon, and made peace on his world. When Omega and the Terminus came, he fought them and lost. Techno-Chivalry demanded he swear his loyalty to the one who had bested him. He, along with a few of his retainers, including five dragons, are all that remain of his world. Whi,le he is the most honorable of Omega's servants, the fact that he's acting of his own free will and not by brainwashing makes him quite dangerous.

•Mandy here is a dangerous foe, but a fairly simple one. In combat, he'll fly and blast, and can deal with lower level groups of enemies with his Area attack. He makes a good fight for a group of PL 10 heroes, and with his 5 dragons, plus whatever other resources you want to give him, he can face off against higher level foes.

Complications
Obsession Madrigal Martinet is hopelessly in love with Mandragora. Given that they're both mass murderers who work for an omnicidal maniac, she expresses this in strange ways.

•On her homeworld, the Madrigal was raised by Kordions, amazonian women who trained her to fight against her world's tyrannical overlord. She was named High Champion of Peace, given a magical blessing to protect her from weapons, and for a time, was her world's greatest hero. However, the island of the Kordians was destroyed by the Warlord, and he had her children murdered on a live broadcast to the entire world. Steelgrave came and offered her help to destroy the Warlord and the entire world on which she lived. She took his help and crushed the planet, and has sinec been put in charge of training the Omegadrone hordes. Now she is known as Madrigal Martinet and is one of the most fearless warriors of the Annihilists.

•Martinent makes a great foil for high level weapon-masters, because she's Immune to all weapon effects (although not snare type effects), and because she uses weapons herself. Of course, without her weapons she's only a PL 11 on offense, which is still pretty dangerous.

•The most powerful Annihilist, Steelgrave was once Steelguard, leader of his world's Heroic Assembly. In order to bring true peace to his world and prevent a destruction foretold by his futurism machine he began a bloody civil war against his fellow heroes. In the end, he was victorious and he was all that was left to oppose the Terminus. Ever pragmatic, he surrendered in order to save 5,000 members of his race. However, once he realized that he would survive for ever, that the rest of his race did not matter, so they became the first Omegadrones. Since then, he has been Omega's chieft lieutenant, head of the campaign to conquer Earth, and the chief weaponsmith of the Terminus. He created the Alpha-Centurion, and oversees the creation of the Omegadrones to serve the Terminus.

•Fittingly for a guy that that looks like Dr. Doom, Steelgrave is a dangerous foe even without his armor, due to his ability to make inventions and to control machines with his mind. This can lead to an awesome scenario where he walks into a hi-tech good guy base without his armor and is able to escape due to disarming security with his mind.

I've always viewed Shadivan as more of an Iron Man / Tony Stark analogue.

Yeah, but those two are kind of similar anyway. Heck, She-Hulk compared Stark to Doom at one point.

Plus, I just said he looks like Doom. Although his datalink power is similar to Tony's recent power-up.

Steelgrave seems to be Iron man during Marvel's Civil War era over superhuman registration. It nearly ruined the character for me. I really hated that interpretation of Iron Man. I guess Green Ronin did too.
Thank god for the movie that his image was redeemed.

Madrigal Martinet seems to be a evil version of Wonder Woman. Anybody know who Mandragora could be an analogue for? The closest is Prince Zuko from Avatar the last airbender. The fourth member of the Annihilists Physician Friendly seems to be a cross between Mister Sinister and Granny Goodness.

All in all they're all a cool bunch of lieutenants for a evil overlord.

There is absolutely nothing I do not love about this build! I really thought FMW was an underrated supplement and I'm thrilled that you're doing conversions.

I didn't really see the Iron Man/Steelgravr connection till now, but now it seems so obvious.

I also never saw Mandragora as Zuko, but I don't have any other interpretation, and the scar at least is spot on.

Does anyone have any particular Freedomverse characters they want to see done? Physician Friendly is coming soon, and the Contenders, but I'd be happy to take requests.

•Physician Friendly is the seemingly benign but actually terribly crazy member of the Annihilists, a former hero named the Physician. He helped put his entire world down, an act which drove him mad. He runs the Helpful Hospice, singing and performing his doctorly duties. Which include torture, dissection, and experimentation. Given that lots of people are already kind of scared of doctors in general, he makes a pretty frightening bad guy.

•Friendly isn't built for front line combat, but with enough of his Nightmare Nurses around, he can cause trouble, especially if he's got a nasty invention whipped up. But mainly, his goal should be to torture and scare the heroes after they get captured by the forces of Omega before their eventual escape/rescue, so that when the PCs do beat him down, its that much more satisfying.

•Samuel and Samantha Capote are members of the Alterniteens, two mutants from another world who were rescued from death at the hands of oppressive baseline human regime. Both are adjusting to a relatively peaceful life in Freedom City, a change from their previous life of interment camps and guerilla warfare.

•Both Capote siblings are capable fighters, but still have a lot to learn. I kept the builds mostly as is, but I dropped Relentless' strength to 4 because she didn't need such a high lifting capacity. Neither are PC ready for a PL 8 game-Dauntless is too cheap as many powerhouses are, and Relentless is too expensive, which happens often with versatile speedsters. Most of the Alterniteens are points heavy, though.

•The jokester of the Alterniteens, Whoop-Ant is one of those characters that proves you don't need earth-shattering powers to be effective. With a Stealth bonus just one less than Batman, he'll easily be able to hide from most foes of his Power Level and can then make a 2 point Power Attack, which is a respectable amount of damage. Given the fact that he has Move-by Action and can cover 500 feet in a round, he can easily strike, be out of sight and hide, and then rinse and repeat. His Bluff score is kind of low for someone who's going to be Taunting and Feinting often, but that probably won't deter him from trying it every turn.

•You get three guesses who Magni's father is. Unlike Earth-Prime's Magni, who's the son of Thor and a giantess, this Magni is the son of Thor and a human. He was banished from his version of Asgard when Ragnarok arrived, so that he would be spared from death. Eventually, he was found by the Alterniteens in another dimension, locked in battle with its own gods, who didn't like the presence of a new demi-god on the block. One quick rescue later, and he was on Earth-Prime, a new student at Claremont and new member of the Alterniteens.

•In combat, Magni's built to hit hard and take hits, but he also has a few tricks up his sleeve thanks to his Environment powers. He's also a decent grappler (although I suppose that should be grabber in 3E parlance, but that sounds slightly dirty), and has Ultimate Strength for those moments when he needs to remind people that his dad was also the god of strength, not just thunder.
