I myself believe that he's a wonderful ensemble character, but that as a protagonist he's quite aggravating. Your mileage may differ though. :D

Nice work on Marvel's "Trinity" MK!

I LOVE that Hulk pic! I've never seen it before but it has quickly taken it's rightful place in my top 3 favorites of him I've seen. VERY NICE!! Plus the builds good too.

Any kind of Spider-Man build will always get a look over from me, as I'm a die-hard days of old Web-Head nut! Nice build, it covers all his powers & gear well. If I've read it correctly it seems like your build is without the power creep he's been given in the last couple years, some of which I haven't totally agreed with. Now I just wish the writers would stop screwing around with him so much that I could stand to collect the titles again.

As for Wolverine, again nice build. I've liked him for pretty much ~ever~ but I've grown tired of Marvel's pimping him out so much. I realized they're capitalizing on the X-Movies and all that but jeez, give the poor guy a break! I miss the days of him playing the gruff, worn-weary guy on the team that shows not everyone is all sunshine & puppies with stars in their eyes. He's the foundation of the team keeping them in the present with their eyes towards the future, not the plot device to sell the book.

I agree. He should remain an ensemble dark horse, not an independent protaganist.

I am totally with you guys on Wolverine's portrayals. I'm not sure if any of you ever watched Blake's 7, but Wolverine and Kerr Avon are sympathetic characters in essence. Like Tat said, the world-weary guy counterbalancing all the sunshine and puppy dogs. Still, alone he can make an interesting character, as the first miniseries showed.

For Spider-Man, I had to go against the SAGA stats for him. With a 14 STR (in TSR SAGA), he's stronger than Luke Cage, and yet, it's Luke who's the heavy brick on the New Avengers. I really cannot see that. I also don't care much for organic web shooters.

That Hulk picture was by Michael Turner, and with the Brood corpse on the ground beneath him, I have a feeling the picture is from World War Hulk.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Wolverine can't be a very interesting solo character and I'm with you on the Miller stories of him. Some of his best IMO.

I just wish some writer would tap into that style for him and keep him mostly on the X-Teams instead of filling up slots on all the other titles he's making the rounds on.

I feel like having Wovlerine on a team nowadays is like in the 90s Iron Age when every team needed to have a gun-carrying member with tons of shoulder pads and bad attitude. I'm just kinda past it all at this point is all.

Feel free to soapbox in the Nook ANYTIME.

And I do have to say, your Av is the best looking Morrison era Wolverine I've ever seen.

I actually thought the Morrison-era costume worked better for Wolverine than, say, Bright Yellow spandex. On the other hand I would have preferred that it be Black fabric, rather than Leather.

I never understood the yellow and blue outfit. Tan is good, black leather is good. Ultimate is good. Hints of yellow is ok.

Oh, black leather jacket and pants look fine.

But no t-shirt, open jacket, and the Quietly SMOOCHIE face and bedroom eyes...

I know I went a little mancrush on Hugh Jackman in X-Men 1, but that's because his Wolverine was just so awesome. I didn't want him on the other side of a glory hole in a bathroom stall, which is what he seemed to be dressed for.

Tat's Wolverine pic avatar is teh awesome.

The blue and yellow, however, is a nod to the Michigan Wolverines football team colors.

Id say my only real poke at your wolverine is his PL.

offensively his combined total is 22, defencinely his total is 15

this is a 37 which divided by the 4 cardinal points (ATT, DEF, Tough, DAM)

equals a 9.5 total PL.

Id say your defence on him is underpowered. hes a superb martial artist and generaly considered one of the best in the marvel universe. he was capaable of taking Cap on one on one and holding his own nicely.

I understand the tendancy is to undervalue his defence because of his regeneration and adamantium skeleton. but all that does is make him tougher then the average bear. he still has a strong defence then many give him credit for.

good builds all told.
