:arrow Clint has matured a little over the years, and after being trained by Captain America, he can punch his way out of a paper bag if necessary. As Ronin, he took to utilizing other weapons than his favored bow to hide his identity as Hawkeye. Luckily, having been trained by the swordsman, his skill with blades translated into being relatively useful with a sword and melee impact weapons. For range, he also utilized shuriken occasionally, and used his nunchuks as bolas, justifying an equipment point for that.

:arrow Of course, Clint is on par with Oliver Queen with his basic weapon. +16 - as well as being able to do +6 damage with blunt or bladed shafts even without resorting to trick arrowheads. Throw in the improved Critical - granted, this is the highly experienced Barton, a little more skilled and capable, and having relied on his non-archery skills for a piece. I used Blast with the Mighty extra and the Flaw requiring the actual Bow to duplicate that if Clint has a stick tied end to end with a string and other sticks handy, he can put someone on their tail. It's a fudge alongside the Throwing Mastery.

:arrow While Clint is a rather good leader, it's because he's more of a team player. His Teamwork and Set-Up are the things he uses as an Avengers leader, not Leadership like Cap would.

:arrow Skillwise, Clint is pretty handy. His original arrows were ones he made himself, hence his Craft score. His tactics are pretty good, in single and group combat. His Notice is pretty obscene because of his excellent vision - he was named Hawkeye for a reason. If his hearing aid gets knocked out, his Perception rolls drop in regards to hearing across the board, so he doesn't get the Auditory based Uncanny Dodge.

:arrow Should Clint get his trick arrows back, his Blast boost power won't apply to the ability scores of the devices. The Amazing Archer ability applies primarily to the regular shafts, by dint of aerodynamics.

:arrow Most of the time, Clint as Ronin is only going to be PL 7.5 in hand to hand or 8.5 with thrown weaponry, but PL 11 Defensively. Put the bow in his hands, though, he becomes PL 11 offensively.

:arrow (spoiler)
Clint's also back together with Mockingbird, who was a Skrull prisoner.

Google image search. It was in a thread on a message board by the colorist of that picture.

I loved it.

Thanks. I'll keep it, and I have to edit this, since I neglected to give Clint an Attack Specialization in Swords. 10 just isn't good enough for an Avenger and someone trained by the Swordsman.

Nice Ronin! Man, Clint Barton always wears the coolest costumes. Loved the purple outfit, and love the Ronin duds as well. Still, I like the character best when he uses a bow. Can't wait till he takes down Bullseye and resumes his rightful role as Hawkeye. I'm guessing Marvel will probably get someone else to become Ronin when that happens. I wonder who it will be?

I'mma make a big tub of popcorn when Clint and Bullseye square off.

Maybe the girl who took over as Hawkeye will be the new Ronin.

Or, since Samurai are known for their bowcraft, he lets the girl keep the Hawkeye motif, and he just adds a bow to his gear.

I like your Ronin/Hawkeye build quite a bit. It interesting to see "super-skills and training" as Powers, especially for characters who don't have "superpowers" as such. From how you set up them up I take it you're a Champions/HERO player too.

BTW, now that I have seen what books you have written I now know where to start in the legendary Mack Bolan book series. Whenever I browse through action/adventure book section at B&N or Half-Price I'm a bit at a bit of a loss.

Oh, I love super-skills. Steve Long and Dark Champions was a favorite book.

I have the Executioner over on Power-Glove, but I'll put him here, with some rewrite.

 I've updated and cleaned up my previously sloppy and ungainly Ronin build. Now, Clint's bad as heck, but using the real Bow rules (strength bonus is added to Bow damage), and adding Talesin's excellent Dual-Wield Benefit, we now have a Clint who is really powerful with his swords (PL9) and obscenely accurate with his bows(PL10) he's a 150 point playable character. With both Sword and Bow, his Critical threats increase his ability to put the hurt on someone.

 I can't help but have the bow at the top of the Arsenal array. It'd be wrong otherwise. I've also given Clint the feats Ranged Disarm and Ranged Trip (which he can use with his nunchakus as well as with blunt or sharp arrows).

 Should Clint get his TRICK arrows back, he could easily be popped up to PL11 with Explosive, Snare, and other trick arrows that give him the artillery to take down powerful opponents.

 I had a perfectly good costume design laying around, a perfectly good name, and a favorite old character concept - a gauntlet of power with an extension field, making him a short range blaster, or a pocket paragon. Welcome back the Power Glove.

 Daryl Pirowski first got hold of the Power Gauntlets at age 10. He was a young tinkerer who had stumbled on the remnants of a suit of power armor damaged in a superhuman battle. Daryl grabbed what he could - the gloves - and ran. This was very different from the radios he dismantled and rebuilt, but the electronics were similar enough that he could work with them. He was able to resize them after three years of tinkering, developing them so that he could become a teenaged superhero, and one of the first of his generation not to have been some form of sidekick.

The Gauntlets themselves are only gravity displacement devices - powerful tractor beam emitters that could switch modes and produce enormous amounts of concussive force with a punch. In the time he was tinkering, he was able to replicate the gravitic projector design in order to produce a protective force field and a means of propulsion. His current limit is around 50 tons, a marked increase over the earlier power output, but this is due to Daryl's increased knowledge and technical skill. He also upped the speed on his flight pack, tired of being the slowest thing in the sky.

Another thing that has assisted the young man in his efforts has been training under one of the world's most skilled boxers in order to improve his fighting ability as a Paragon.

As Power Boy, Daryl gained a wealth of experience and combat skill. Today, after twelve years, he's one of the better heroes of his home city as Power Glove. He's not the best fighter, or the strongest paragon, but he's smart and determined.

 Gone is the telepathy, the government conspiracy background, and a cleaner, streamlined back story.

Description:

Created With Mutagen! version 0.8.7a - beta

 I decided to try something here by allowing for a sliding scale for the Impervious Toughness for the Force Field and Elongation as a Dynamic power source, under the idea that the stretching of the field lowers the integrity of the Force Field's Imperviousness. I also made use of the excellent Super-Strength/Flight Dynamic system Talesin likes to use.

 Power Glove/Powerboy is a blend of Captain Shazam! Marvel and Green Lantern, with some help from Earth 3's Power Ring for the naming (Sorry, love that name). As such, he's a blend between Paragon and a close-support blaster - his Elongation REALLY allows him some versatility in combat, though Grappling other Paragons and Powerhouses will introduce him to a lot of hurt if he picks someone too strong.

edit Made better picture.
