So..for those that bothered to read, I have been away for a while due to moving, and circumstances that are just stupid.

Everyone has been officially moved over to this thread from my old thread, and now it's on to NEW origionals and NEW convertions.

Picked off Shadowcat, Rhino, and Nightcrawler. I am in the middle of Vulcan, and I will probably run up Magma, Storm, and a couple others soon enough.

Back Story:Mary Baxtrin loved being a pilots daughter, especailly about the part of daddy taking his little girl in the cockpit. He would sit her down in the other seat, strap her in, and laugh as she stared out the windows. Her entire room was nothing but clouds, sky, and planes. She got ot ride inte cockpit once a month, just her and her dad.
Mary thought she would never fly again when her dad died from bone cancer several years later. The doctors did everything they could, but they couldn't find a marrow donor in time. No-one in her existing family was a viable match.
Because of the loss of her fathers income, her family eventually moved in with her aunt and uncle in Oklahoma. It was in Oklahoma that Mary found out she could fly again, and much, much more.
The discovery of her telekinesis came slowly, as she was able to lift plates and chairs, then it became fully developed soon after with her able to pick up a car. She als rediscovered her love of flying. However, the residents of her new home in Oklahoma were less then thrilled, and, despite the struggles of her mother and family, she was driven from the town.
She currently resides in South Carolina, living with a extended family member, and not flaunting her powers...though she still loves to fly.

*one of the weaker characters I've done, but it's a basic Jean Grey, minus the phoenix and telepathy bits.

Back Story: Orion, also known as Tak Inla, is the last of the former Starguard, a group of galatic enforcers. He is also an Altinarian, a species of alien are organic plasma based lifeforms. As a Star Guard, Orion has moved up the ranks to Pretoriate, meaning that he is able to handle many situations by himself, and excels as diplomatic relations.

It was during a battle against the cosmic warlord, the Myrmidon, that the Starguards were decimated, leaving Orion with only one option: flee into space and hope to one day re-group and lead an attack on the Myrmidon.

*there isn't much to this character, story wise. It's a GL/ Firestorm concept I have, and something that I will be fleshing out a little more here and there, especially after I finish up the cosmic warlord, the Myrmidon.

Back story:
"For ere this the tribes of men lived on earth remote and free from ills and hard toil and heavy sickness which bring the Keres upon men; for in misery men grow old quickly"
Mother of Misery. Bringer of the Eternal Sorrows. Echidna. Pandora has gone by these and many more titles in the past. She is forever known by mankind as the first woman, the foolish creature that released the Keres upon the human race.
If one was to read the myths that surround Pandora, they would find that she was given gifts by the gods upon her creation. She was also gifted a container and told to NEVER open it. After some time, Pandora fell into curiosity, like the rest of the human race. She opened the container and out poured the Keres, the 10,000 servants of the original Seven Sins: Greed, Pride, Lust, Wrath, Sloth, Envy, and Gluttony. She closed the container too late and the Keres flew out and spread over the earth, raining misery upon mortals.

What the myths omit is that it wasn't curiosity that took hold of her. Before opening the "box", Pandora was visited by the embodiments of the Sins in her sleep, disguised as avatars of the gods. They told her of pain and suffering that the world was going through, and that the only cure was to open the container. They told her that everything that man deserved was in that box, and that she was to heal mankind and relieve it of their sorrows. Tricked by them, Pandora opened the box upon awakening and the sorrows and pain that were told to her flew out and inflicted mankind.

The myths also speak of Hope, the one thing left in the box. That is a mis-interpretation. The container itself IS hope, because it has the power to re-capture all the Keros, as well as the Seven Sins themselves, thus ending the sorrows and miseries that have visited mankind. Unfortunately, it has a flaw: it requires the holder to track down and re-capture each servant and Sin one by one. After several millenia, Pandora still searches for the Keros and their masters. She has managed to capture a thousand of the Keros, but that still leaves thousands more to track down and capture, along with the Sins.

*explaining the specifics on "Pandora's Box"*
First off, it's not a "box" per-se.
It's an alabaster jar, about the size of an urn.

Secondly, the item is Unique, meaning that it cannot be copied in exact form, abilities, artistry, etc. This prevents duplicates of the container from being constructed, either by Pandora or an outside source. This, in and of itself, has a slight exception.
I wrote in "one in existance at a time" for a damn good reason. The jar itself can be stolen, lost, captured, even destroyed. Should the latter happen, Pandora herself has the abilities to re-create the jar, then "dedicate" it to the gods, who will re-assign the powers of the origional to the new container. She cannot, however, create more than one, preventing her from creating hundreds upon thousands of the jars.

The container has the ability to exorcise and trap the Keres, grants the abilities of Clairaudience and Mind Shield to the bearer, and has Reflection Shield when it comes to magical effects (it cannot be damaged, transported, captured, etc. by magical means.)

Back Story: Samantha Pinnar developed her powers at the age of 17. She was already a high-school athlete in track n field when they emerged during a track meet. She ended up dashing to the long jump line at 60 miles per hour and leapt all the way over the entire pit!!. Through various tests, it was discovered that Samantha was at the peak of human physical capabilities: she possessed the strength as great as any world class strongman, was as agile and nimble as any olympic runner or gymnist, and her resistance was higher then many word class martial artist. She also developed super dense skin, the lack of need for sleep, food, had no signs of aging, and was able copy the feat of anyone she came in contact with,
Taking the name Pinnacle, to represent that she was at the pinnacle of the human achievment, she left her home town and becaome a full time hero.

**Pinnacle is a character that I been musing over for a while now. I didn't want to make her your average Brick, or a "cut n paste" paragon, so I made her a little more interesting then that.

While she doesn't have the greatest strength, She can effectively push/drag a Semi-truck..which is about right for those strongmen I see on TV all the time. She has a high resistance to injury...having a total of 10 on her toughness, 3 of that being impervious. she is also immune to bullets and critical hits...so it's going to take some hard to hurt Pinnacle..and you better hope it's not a slam attack, because her immovable will rock that decently.

I decided to give her leaping and speed over flying..because I like the fact that she could run about 60-100 mph and leap 4 times her normal distance.

I also gave her the ability to mimic the feats of anyone she touches, giving her access to all sorts of neat tricks.

Back Story: Quintus Manlius Habitus served as a Prefect in the Imperial Army of Vernius Caeser for many years. He was regarded as a powerful and dutiful soldier. While in a battle against the Germanius Legions, Quintus was bombarded with a new weapon, an Ion Displacement Cannon. His body vanished in an illuminary display of energy.
Suddenly, Quintus found himself displaced. There was no battle, no thousands of Imperial soldiers, no legions of Germanic troops. He found himself in the middle of a VERY small forest, surrounded by buildings that should have been from the City of Imperius Rex, but the designs where different.
He also found himself confronted with a man who looked like his twin...a man who introduced himself as Col. Jack Meiyers...Stateside!

**I have been meaning to go back and re-vamp Praetorian for a while...lower him down...I still want him to be a paragon, but not the "Superman" rank type...more like pl 12-13. I straightened a few things out, so his skills aren't so damn ungodly...he is, after all, still a man...no matter how powerful he is..you can still kill him.
I humanized him a bit, because he needed it...he was WAY outta there....powerful enough to take on the man of steel...and while that is the general concept for most paragons...I didn't want Praetorian to be so far above the radar. He is more...GL calibur now...can hang with GL...not superman unless he pushes it...but GL is about right....

Back Story: David Nemiah was always obsessed with the night sky, almost hypnotized by the twinkling of starlight amongst the blackness. Little did he know that he would one day have the ability to harness the very power that binds the universe together: Dark Matter Energy. On his 18th birthday, David Nemiah's mind exploded with knowledge, able to be aware of increadable things around him: the moving of time and space, the shifting of planets and stars, and even the ability to detect cosmic phenomina!! He was also aware that he could survive extreme cold, didn't have to breathe, and would never get sick. He also relized that he was immune to sudden flashes of bright light, though it showed in his eyes, as they took on a energy coated apperance.

With this explosion of mental power came an explosion of raw, physical power in the form of dark matter energy that surrounded his body in a field of incredible power. He also found that he can't turn the power field off, that it constantly protects him, absorbs damage to heal his body should he need it, as well as deal damage to everything around him. He cannot touch another human being without almost ripping their molocules apart. He could channel this energy within him into powerful bursts of energy from his hands, to fly at amazing speeds, and even move things with his but a gesture.

While exploring his abilities one day, David flew right out of Earth's atmosphere, and felt a sudden surge of power rush through his body, as he was transformed into a being composed of dark matter itself!. He was stronger, faster, and more powerful out in the opens of space, but upon entering the atmosphere of earth again, the form dissipitated, leaving him with the powers that he harnessed before.

**ok...I have no idea if the math is right...as I got two different answers from two of the most respected builders.
It's my first time working a Dynamic character...and I think that maybe it through me off.
Tal says that, even with the flaw, I still get rank x2 pp pool to play with...in this term...40 pp's to spread around n share.
MD snow says that flaws n extras count in the power pool, so I should only have 20 pp in the pool, because of the limited flaw.

so...I THINK that the Dark Matter Energy Control is only costing me 28 points for 40 pp pool....but it could be a 28 pp for a 20 pnt pool...i'm not sure.

The character is an MM conversiont of an old Marvel RPG charcter I had about 4 years ago...well...cept for the alt form...I added that to this build

:arrow: EDIT-3-1-08: After more reserach and more confiring with the "higher ups"....I think I FINALLY got Sirius done right, math wise.

He is a little more expensive, but luckily...no level rise...so WOOT!!! on that account.

He is also more DANGROUS then what I had previously, as I added a Variable Array power to his Dark Energy control. He has a pool of 50 pp to play with to perform any one power with the Cosmic/ Dark Energy Descriptor (makes ya scared, dun it!!!)

After reading up on Dark Matter and Dark Energy, I settled on Dark Energy, which according to some scientists, makes up about 74% of the known universe. His power truely is the "primordial force" of the universe. There are also statements made that gravitational forces have an effect on both Dark Energy and Dark Matter...so I gave him both a weakness to gravitational effects, and then gave him a power loss because of stronger gravitaional effects....which effects ALL of his powers (only way to really take him out is hit him with a high level gravitational effect).

I'm alot happier overall with this version of Sirius.

Back Story: Alison Chanders was the "home-town" girl next door: cheer-leader, gymnastics team, even the prom queen. She never knew that she had a gift: the ability to turn her body into glass. It was a gift she never would have discovered, had her boyfriend, Tucker, and she never snuck up to the old clock tower one night. They were surprised by the supervillian Kaliediscope, who was hiding in the tower. He tossed Tucker down into the clockwork below, then, after attempting to take Alison hostage, and eventually tiring of her struggles, he tossed her out the stained glass window of the tower.
The fear of the situation instantly set in, and activated Alison Chander's latent ability, as not only did the window shatter, but so did Alison's body. The shards of her new body fell to the street below, where she was able to "gather" herself. Her rage quickly consumed her shock, as with a fury like hell, she faced off against Kaliediscope, this time causing the shards of the widow to distract him as she used her own body to stab him in the back of the head.
After the anger wore off, the fear set back in...and Alison went of the run, afriad to be hated by the town for her new abilities, and afraid of what she did. She has been a "run-away" for the past year, hitch-hiking from city to city, looking for some kind of salvation.

*wow...here is a neat one. A young woman suddenly given powers due to a terrible tragedy. She really doesn't know what to do, but she is often forced into situation where she needs to save a few, less fortunate people. She is will never be strong enough to take on the big baddies, but she is more than a match for any mugger or small time thug, as you can't just smash her and walk away, thanks to her atomic seperation and regeneration.

Her biggest downside is that her body, and the objects she creates, are GLASS...so she take will shatter easy and has almost nothing of a toughness or defense. But then again, if you can gather your body over and over again...do you really need it?

Back Story: Project Asgard was a privately sponsored project from the depths of Europe.
Based in Sweden, Project Asgard featurned some of the best scientists when it came to
exo-skelton hyper-robotics. With similar projects happening in the US (Bumbleebee) and
the appearance of the "renegade" exo-suit, Eyno, many private industrialists in Europe
felt unsafe. They decided to strike first, in case of the "American situation" spill over.
With that, Project Asgard was formed. Hundreds of canidates were screened, from special
Ops units to private armies to mercs for hire. Five subjects were chosen. Each were outfitted with
special suits, called HAMMERS (Heavy Armored Mecha Mobile Emergancy Response Suits). Each had
unique specs, from Density & Endo-muscle Enhancements to Sleath and Flight Capabilities.
Each member always had a special assignment, whiether it be recon to heavy artillary support.
Then...disaster struck, and it struck hard.

After 2 years, an ambush from one mission left Project Asgard with but a single member:
Victoria Quence, codename "Sleipnir". Victoria is an accomplished close combat specialist
and pilot from MI-6. After the ambush, her HAMMERS was updated beyond what any single unit had before.
With her new, upgraded suit, Sleipnir is a one-person hit squad.

Back Story: Spencer Ichabod Edwards was the promising guitarist for New York rock group Black Candy Americans. They idolized Guns N Roses, Motley Crew, The Misfits, etc, etc, and even English rock legends the Rolling Stones. At the mid-way of their rise, The band suffered a terriable crash in the Appalachians, their tour van loosing traction on a patch of ice, created by villian Jack Frost, and careened off the side of a mountian road. That was seven months ago.
Now, Black Candy Americans' lead guitarist Spencer Ichabod Edwards has risen from the grave, and has taken the name new name of Spike. Contructing a special guitar from the bones of his now desceased bandmates, Spike has already hunted down and defeated Frost, The show must go on, so while he can't take the stage he wants, Spike takes a new stage as a new kind of star....a superhero.

**crazy idea huh? It is, however, one that I am looking into actually playing; a Zombie hero. Spike has a very easy solution for alot of situation: he doesn't care, because it won't effect him. He is more then willing to plummet off buildings to quickly catch a crook, or detach his limbs to fit into small spaces more easily. Care-free, crazy, and with no regard for his safety, Spike is an interesting team-mate or even a single hero.

Back Story: Colonel Jack Meiyers has always been stand up officer in the U.S. Military. He served his country as the best he could, both on the front lines and back on the home front. He is a good patriot, a good husband, and a good father. All of those qualities in his character are the major factors in his descision to become the superhero Stateside.
When the disaster of 911 hit, Col Meiyers, serving a position as a Drill Instructor at Fort Bragg, lost his family, who was flying out from NY to see him.
When he was notified of the plane crash, Col. Meiyers, 47: battle-hardened veteran, celebrated soldier, all around great American, became Col. Jack Meiyers, husband to the late Wendy Meiyers, and husband to both Daniel and Patricia Meiyers, his 13 year old twins. His American Dream shattered, Col. Meiyers had insult placed upon injury when he recieved a letter denying him a place among the troops that were going across seas. He was under orders to stay stateside.
After 3 years of watching every soldier under his eyes, Col. Jack Meiyers recieved another letter, stating that he was picked for a special goverment operation, Project: Sparta. He was very quick to accept, and after much testing, Meiyers proved that his 48 yearo old body was just as fit as it was 20 years ago. He was then subjected to the genetic splicing drug known as Spartian. After weeks of careful doses, Col. Jack Meiyers became Stateside, a powerfulhouse that combined strength, durability, and enhanced senses with genetically produced Psionics.
Col. Jack Meiyers, publicly known as Stateside, now serves on US soil everywhere, wheither it be home turf, or the numerous Embassies across seas. His position is not one of infiltration, but to further prevent anything like 911 from happening again, anywhere. Terrorist's, tread lightly, because Stateside is watching.

**WOW...here is one hell of a rip-off concept: Superman, meet Captian America. Cap, meet Supes. Guys, meet The Character Squasher. Everyone, we now present Stateside!.
The few differances is that while Stateside gets the Enhanced Con and Str that all the Superman builds i've seen get, I made a large portion of his powers run off of the Psionics descriptor.
His story though...thats a Captian America style story right down to the "super drug" idea.
Powers from superman...attitude from the Cap.
He just got a costume change this morning...i re-arranged the colors.

I also re-did the math on Stateside, thanks to JGK...he noticed some mathematical flaws in the What If? Stateside: GL character that actually goes all the way back to the origional build.

I also game this flying brick some drawbacks, because not even Superman is perfect. He is vulnerable to Magnetism....and i wrote in the drawback of Prejudice: Arabic.

while I am in no way racist, and I am not trying to offend anyone in any way. I think it would be very viable for a military based character with such deep connections to something like 911 to have this drawback....hell, alot of Americans had it after 911. They blamed the Muslim/Arabic community for 911...when it was a terrorist faction that only relates to the Muslim/Arabic community in racial origion.

Back Story: said to be another creation of the famous Dr. Marcus Grahhem, Susanna is actually a completely origional android, meaning that she has brought herself to life. She believes herself to be the "younger sister" to Sirius Force member Datalink, but she is actually a back-up AI program for Datalink that somehow has come across the idea of it's own identity, and build itself a body in Grahhem's lab. Susanna has struck out on her own, trying to "discover" herself as a life-form.

**ok, I have to admit that I thought I was doing well...then Susanna comes along and completely blows me away with how high she got, but it seems that Androids are just always gonna come out high for me....Her Android Body Container came out insane, at some 80 + points...The growth and shrinking I added because it jsut came to me at the end of the powers build...and I liked the idea. She's way more powerful, combat wise, then Datalink, but holds none of Datalink's abilities with teleport, etc.
