Back Story: Gabriel Summers is a man of power. He has the ability to control all and any types of energy: cosmic, plasma, radiation, magnetism, psionic, etc. If it's a type of energy, he is it's undisputed master. He is also the posterchild for the "got a raw deal in life" fan club. Gabriel was born and raised on earth, in a facility ran by the Shiar Empire. After accidentilly killing his hand-maiden, he went on the lamb, running from everything and everyone he knew. He would later be found and taken to Dr. Moria McTaggart. He was trained, along with a few others, to have full control over their abilities. Gabriel took the name Kid Vulcan.

I think when I was Godfallen, that was the most asked question....for all the origionals...I got to Devientart.com...for conversions, I like to go to Comic Art Gallery and check it out, or I just pull something from the google image search.

Y'know just out of curiosity: What is the deal with giving powerful heroes and villains Biblical or angelic names?

Sylar from "Heroes" real name is Gabriel for example. Innumerable characters from fantasy and sci-fi novels. I know it kind of reinforces the idea of their almost divine level of power but it is kind of silly after awhile.

A good, scary as all get-out, build for Vulcan by the way!

There's a reason they call him Almighty God and people have long memories. Let's leave it there.

I can't hold my excitement...so I have an announcement to make...PRIOR to the Thundercats, I will be doing a Conversion of Captain America, Steve Rogers version. Why? Because for those that don't know, they are bringing him BACK, and he will be whooping Bucky's arse!!!

He's already kinda back, if you consider that he is re-fighting WWII while stuck in time limbo until they bring him back completely next year to do battle with Doom when he tries to take over the universe AGAIN.

Still looking forward to the Thundercats!

Thundercats: Lion-O

Postby Praetorian » Sat Oct 03, 2009 7:40 pm

Because Thorp has been SOOO patient

Lion-O
Image
THUNDERCATS, HO!!!!

PL: 11
PP: 151

Abilities: STR 27; DEX 23; CON 17; INT 15; WIS 15; CHA 16

Saves: Tough 3 (+4 from Armor); Fort 3; Ref 6; Will 4

ATK: 5
DEF: 6
INI: 6

FEATS: All-out Atk; Atk Bonus: Melee (2 ranks); Atk Specl: Swords (1 rank); Contacts; Defensive atk; Dodge bonus (2 ranks);
Endurance (2 ranks); Equipment (1 rank); Fearless; Inspire (3 ranks); Interpose; Leadership; Power atk; Seize Ini

POWERS: Device: Sword of Omens (5 ranks; Easy to loose, PF: Restricted x2)
-AP: Visual ESP (6 ranks)
-AP: Communicate: Visual (6 ranks; Flaw: Limited-One type{summons Thundercats to current Location})
Device: Catspaw Gauntlet (4 ranks; Hard to loose)
-AP: Shield (6 ranks)
-AP: Supermovement: Swinging (2 ranks)
-AP: Snare (4 ranks: PF: Tether, Reversible)
-AP: Enhanced Feat: Quickdraw (2 ranks)

Equipment: Thundercat Armor (+4 Toughness, 4 EP)

Skills: Acrobatics 12; Concentration 16; Diplomancy 15; Knowledge(history-Thundera) 17; Sense Motive 12

Back Story: Lion-O was just a cub when the Thundercats landed on New Earth, but he was required to grow up fast, literally. Sent into the Book of Thundara, Lion-O spent what he thought was years inside the book training for battle against any enemies the Thundercats would run across. He emerge a full grown adult, though with much of the same naieveity of a 11 year old cub.
Trusted with the keeping of the Sword of Omens, Lion-O has lead the Thundercats to victory against many opponents, from the Mutants and Mumm-Ra to Thundarian Pirats and the Dogs of War.

* First of the Thundercats, Lion-O. I am really surprised how BASIC he is. While he is strong and nimble, he leaves alot wanting in other areas.
The best device isn't even the Sword of Omens, but rather the Catspaw Gauntlet, giving him a shield, a swinging supermovement, a snare, and allowing Quickdraw {the sword is kept in the gauntlet as a sheath, and can be sprung out into the air on command).
He is VERY offensive in battle, and while being able to take on some of the best swordsmen ever, Lion-O will come up short against illusions and trickery.
He is also VERY susceptable to lies and deception, because of his naive nature.

I'm not completel happy with the build...basically cuz I thought it would be more, but I feel it reflects his abilities and nature rather well.

Your missing the "Stats" for the Sword of Omen's itself. And i'm not sure i follow the AP structure for your devices. What are they AP'ing off of? The device itself, otherwise i think your missing the base power.

I can still remember some episodes from Thundercats... despite it having been over ten years since watching the show.
