Powers:

Shield fighting (Array 7; PF: Alternate power 1, Inherent; 15pp)
- Base power: Enhanced attack 7
- AP: Deflect 8 (All ranged attacks; Flaw: Distracting; Drawbacks: Focus 2 [shield])

Devices:

Photonic shield emiter (27pp of effects)
- Shield 3 (PF: Dedicated dodge)

- Photonic blasts (Array 6; PF: Alternate power 3)
-- Base power: Shield strike (Strike 2; Mighty, Extra: Penetrating [6 ranks])
-- AP: Single shot (Blast 6)
-- AP: Explosive shot (Blast 4; Extra: Area [explosion, targeted])
-- AP: High velocity shot (Blast 4; Extra: Autofire 1)

Equipment: Microalloy armor (Protection 2 [Subtle 1], Immunity 2 [heat & cold, half-effect] 4ep)

Weapons (array; 19ep)
- Assault Rifle (+5 ballistic damage; crit 20; 50'; Autofire 1, Laser sight, Full Power, Lethal Only)

Abilities 50 + Skills 19 (74 ranks) + Feats 23 + Powers 46 + Combat 10 + Saves 7 + Drawbacks 0 = 155

Complications:
  • Misguided Patriotism: Agent consider himself (and probably is) a true patriot, unfortunantly he seem unable to tell apart the principles and ideals of the U.S.A. from the actual goverment
  • Rivalry (Captain America and Hawkeye): Agent has an obvious rivalry toward Cap, he also doesn't get along well with Hawkeye most of the time
  • Reputation (crazy and unnecessary violent): Agent has a considerable reputation as a psychotic and violent vigilante
  • Temper: Agent rank among the 10 most foul tempered Avengers of all times (whihc includes the Hulk)

 Agent has a lot of convulted backstory and costume changes, over the years he has changed at least 6 main costumes (Super-patriot, replacement Cap, Black U.S.Agent, Force Works U.S.Agent, Judge Dredd rip-off, New Invaders) and even more weapons and shields. I choose to represent him in his Force Works incarnation - with the extra of the weapons used in his later versions - since I consider that the only time when the authors really tried to differentiate him from Cap

 since the Photonic shield was more manuvrable than Agent's old metal shield and able to change form to suit the need of the moment I decided to make it a bit superior to Cap's Shield on Defense. The Chained boost represent the photonic shield ability to store and reuse the energy of the impacts, it works along the same principles of Absorbtion

 the Shield fighting is based around the same construction used on my Wonder Woman build

 for a more classic version of Agent, simply replace the Photonic shield with his old Vibranium shield and reduce the overall cost to 146pp. In this version Agent will be undercapped by 1 on his Defense, but he will reach his offesive caps, both melee and ranged, without any boost

Vibranium shield (Device 4 [easy to lose]; PF: Restricted 1 [Shield fighting or lose all powers but Shield]; 13pp)
Traits:
- Shield 2 (PF: Dedicated dodge)
- Shield toss (Blast 2; PF: Alternate power 2, Improved range 1, Mighty 9, Ricochet 1; Extra: Area [Shapeable, targeted]; Flaw: Side-effect [disarmed on a failed attack roll])
-- AP: Shield strike (Strike 2; PF: Knockback 2, Mighty, Extra: Penetrating [2 ranks])
-- AP: Immovable 8 (Extra: Duration 0 [sustained])

Complications: Psychological disorder (guilt complex), Reputation (threat or menace?), Responsibility (family and friends)

 this is an attempt to negotiate with the various versions of Spidey I've seen around, Basicly he is a PL9 character - on par with my Daredevil - that can boost himself to PL10 on offensive or defense provided he has enough room to jump around freely, making him a top level street hero, that can occasionaly go into the upper classes

 Peter usually restrain himself a lot against unpowered opponents, still he is incredibly precise and hard to hit, I consider this a constant application of Accurate attack paired with Defensive attack

 UPDATE: a slight tweaking to the web-shooters

Thanks, I have a thing for using containers, they help me keeping everything in the right perspective. Unfortunatly, I'm also too much of a fan of efficiency to allow myself to use less than 4pp out of each container rank.

I find Containers are especially good for a group of innate traits. It almost feels like cheating when I use the Innate power feat on a group of powers all at once, but it is really nice to have it organized like that.

Coincidentally, I hate using the Alternate Form containers. What a pain!

While I rarely use Alternate forms I think that they work pretty well, the big pain is that many character seem to retain their AF even when unconsciuos, which is a bit of a pain.

About the Innate thing, I think that's what Containers are for, otherwise the benefit are really neglegible.

 for my symbiote Spider-man I tried a helluva of versions - Gestalt, Intelligent device, Minion with shapeshift - in the end I decided to go back to basics. Peter wasn't aware for a long time that the costume was actually a living and thinking entity - and never used it as a "proxy" as Eddie Brock did - plus he only used a fraction of the symbiote actual abilities, so I decided to handle it like a simple container with the Split personality flaw from Mimic to represent the Symbiote tampering with his mind

 the Vulnerability/Power loss effect work on the following principle, the Symbiote tend to relay its own pain to the host making him vulnerable to the same attacks to a lesser degree, if the host is heavily injured by these attacks the feedback causes the symbionte to detach

 the only other point worth noticing is that Peter during this phase was obviously more prone to go full power, even on unpowered opponents. For the rest he is still the same build
