1610 Ultimate Marvel Builds (Punisher)

Hello fine Think Tankers.

If you clicked on this thread, you must have some interest in the Ultimate Universe. If so, you may be interested in my Sourcebook. Click on the link in my signature. The Timeline is pretty crazy.

I have been running a campaign for some time for a couple of chums, and I love the system. We are converts from 3.5 (well, we still play DnD too, so maybe not converts). We play with a lot of house rules to make it fun for us and make the game a little more like DnD: using a grid, movement, hit points, and some other stuff. I do not have a ton of time, b/c I am in Grad School, but I wanted to start stating up a few characters for comment.

My Campaign is set in the Ultimate Marvel Universe. I have assembled a collection of these books and use this setting b/c I think it is simpler than having the entire continuity to deal with. Keep in mind that we are still, time-line-wise in the first "year" of 1610. And I will not be incorporating the Ultimatum into my time-line EVER. At that point if this campaign is still going I will go my own way. I just thought the Ultimatum sucked and ruined a great line. Anyway, I hope to get some positive feedback as well as having the mistakes pointed out. Also I am using the Handbook of the Ultimate Marvel Universe to make these so if any one has those books and/or is familiar with them any feedback concerning those books would also be appreciated.

Note:

I have seen a lot of cool ways to build Cap's Shield, but I went more straight forward. In the Ultimate, he doesn't ricochet it around as much or to as much effect. So I represented this with only Split Attack and the Feat Bank Shot.

I decided to go with 8 as a base score and up it to 24, which I consider the peak human...well 26 at the VERY highest.

I may have overdone the equipment, but he has to have something in all those green pockets.

Not sure if quickness/master plan should be 3 ranks or 4.

Before anyone comments about the REGEN that has to stay in this version...does anyone argue it should be higher?

His save's seem pretty decent, maybe not top notch. I might put him about +12 on just about everything. I had come up with my own bench mark systemfor saves, which differs slightly than they would with skills.

Nice New!Spidey. I thought PL9 was a litlle low till I realised that, actually, New!Spidey is not that powerful. But he does have a lot of powers. A well thought out build, that may need to be stolen for my game.

Much of what I have done here is taken from Fury's first appearance in Ultimate X-men #9. He has all kinds of cool gadgets, but is not Samuel L. yet.

The OHUMU says that he can fly with armor, but I could not find him doing so. That book was published in 2005. I looked up most of his appearances prior to that and didn't see it. What I think happened was the writers confused the Para Shoes with flight.

He is a swollen 200+ points at PL 10, but most of the time he doesn't have all those gadgets. A word on that. I wanted to make the gadgets all separate powers so they could be taken away by a GM using this NPC so I did it this way. Some may not like it and I am discussing alternatives on another post, but any other way wastes points. I did the math.

I didn't make his stats higher, despite Ult Origins showing us his exposure to the super soldier serum. He is just not portrayed as cap's equal physically. Whether that is b/c he's older or just didn't get as big a boost as Cap, I don't know, but I think he is still really tough physically.

Also there is the matter of him losing an arm in Ultimates 2. I don't know if it grew back b/c of regeneration (but his eye didn't) or if he has a prosthetic. My guess is the latter. Any one with an issue reference for where this is explained I would appreciate it. Regardless it seems to function as his other arm does so no real mechanical change seems to be needed.

Edit:

Added The Skills I intended to get in, but forgot.

Changed the Powers to one Device/Container with all of the separate "devices" within it. This just seems the best way to do it after a discussion elsewhere.

Added Tough to his feats.

Added Immunity (Aging). Made it limited. He has not stopped aging, but is aging slowly. If you figure he was about 25 in 1945, then in 2005 he would be 55. That sounds about right, especially if you recognize that SLJ was 57 in 2005.

I 'unfirtunately' got most of the Ultimatum story, shocked the hell out of myself at the death toll of heroes and the deep changes everyone went through, and decided to collect the rest in a backwards fashion. I already had some, but had slacked off on getting the rest.
I like these write-ups, though perhaps they could use some fine-tuning. Cap himself, for his equipment, why not go for an arsenal array like others do, and give him some more gear? In the best stories, he uses at LEAST one grenade and has them on his person, and being a soldier it's very likely he would have other types like for stun or dazzle, as well as a communication device of some sort.
Nick Fury, didn't they do an Ultimate Origin story where they revealed he was from WWII? Didn't read it, but I figure that would give him some bad-ass knowledge skills and abilities that sort of reach towards Cap but nit quite making it, since he was the 'prototype', as it were. He would definitely have some longevity (Immunity: aging).
I can't wait to see what you'll do with Thor, Iron Man, heck, all of the Ultimates, and the X-Men too. Will you alsi do Ultimate Spidey's enemies???

Absolutely great call on the longevity. It was my intention to give him a lot more in the way of knowledges it just slipped my mind. His points are going to swell.

My Build for Cap has three different types of Grenades. I feel like with him he uses a gun or grenade or something occasionally, but then abandons it for fists and shield invariably. Thus this stuff should be simple equipment. Although his 14 ranks in Equipment give him 70 pp to spend on it, so what you see here is merely a suggestion. Another really likely way to distribute it could be:

Equipment: Assault Rifle, Flash-Bang, Fragmentation Grenade, Smoke Grenade, Tear Gas Grenade, giving him every type listed in the CORE.

Note:

So here is my Chitauri Build. There is not a ton info on them, but I was able to piece together enough for this build. There are three general types of them that we see in the comics. The Tech guys, soldiers, and the Sleeper cell agents. The last type are just aliens in hiding like those that Hawkeye and Black Widow took out a ton of in an office building. Just like not all humans are the same level of toughness, the sleepers are the weakest and the soldiers the toughest in combat. The Scientist types are good at other things.

I gave them all out attack, because it seems like they don't think much of human opponents and attack as if they cannot lose the fight.

I hate that that is the only picture. It portrays a dead one that has been partially dissected.

There are two castes of the Chitauri. The Ruling Caste and what I am calling the Drones. Both start with the initial template. Although the Marvel Wiki says that the Drones were "nearly mindless" I did not find this to be the case in the comics. In Issue #8 of Ultimates 2 the Drones are capable of lying convincingly and appearing in all ways to be an average human.
