OK, so that's not just a colouring mistake (her outfit's supposed to be that colour)... then why can you see her bare feet?

-Dansen Macabre is one of the very first Strippers-Turned-Supervillains (which is a more crowded field than you'd think), dating all the way back to 1980. She fought Spider-Man & The Shroud in "Marvel Team-Up", then joined Shroud's Jobber Villain team "The Night Shift", where she languished in obscurity. Her group fought The Midnight Sons, and she was aboard Superia's vessel, where she tried the "hypnotize the truth out of them" trick on Cap & Paladin. Of course, Cap was too good to fall for it, but thankfully Paladin was a sieve of information. Her costume is... pretty terrible. Just a big black swooshy ribbon flowing around her for whatever reason. Not much of a character, like most of these Jobbers.

-Dansen is a Mind-Control type, using Area Perception attacks- a Mind Control one, and a Death Effect one that wills people to die. Quite powerful, and it makes her a PL 9, but she's not exactly a capable fighter, or very tough. Most Mind Control types DO have that as an Achilles Heel, though, which keeps them from being overwhelmingly powerful. I figure a stripper would be pretty athletic & acrobatic as well, so she's quite Skilled. Unusually, she can also make herself invisible to human minds (not machines, though- hence the Resistible by Will thing).

I used to complain that comic book artists need to learn other female body types than the standard cookie-cutter one... I am now regretting this.

Responsibility ("Cloisters" Male Strip Club)

Total: Abilities: 60 / Skills: 38--19 / Advantages: 7 / Powers: 5 / Defenses: 8 (99)

-I swear I'm not making this character up. A one-shot in "Alpha Flight", she actually popped up as a random background character in the "Superia Stratagem" alongside the other female powerhouses of Marvel. She's a John Byrne joke character, a circus Fat Lady who was up to some criminal shenanigans, and she was abnormally strong and tough given her tremendous body size. Not even superpowered, she last appeared as the owner of an all-male strip club. Byrne can live with the shame of inventing a fat woman in a one-piece as an authentic comic book character, but at least for once it was FEMALE-on-female violence taking place in his book.

-Surprisingly a PL 7 (but only at Parrying, she's a PL 6 at punching), Pink Pearl is very strong and quite fast for her size, and can definitely take a punch (a thrown knife hit her in the chest, but didn't kill her thanks to her fat). She won't beat ANY super-hero (even New Mutant level) in a one-on-one fight, but she can absorb at least some damage and hold someone down, allowing a more powerful character to end things.

-Edit: OK, apparently Pearl was more bad-ass than I thought, and could fight off Aurora & Northstar while dodging & bouncing around. As such, I'll boost her PL to 7 character, but no higher. She's still a bit limited, but once she grapples you- you're in some trouble.

-Iron Maiden ("Runnn too thaaaa HIIIILLLLS!") was created for the same one-shot "Marvel Fanfare" issue that Wrangler was, forming a gang to beat up The Black Widow. They of course failed, despite her awesome name, and pretty cool appearance and concept (covered completely in notched armour, she was one of the only Power Armour/Martial Artist hybrids I've ever seen. I can't even think of another.) She's PL 8, and pretty tough, being able to knock Paladin around for a bit (he complained about Asp's costume- which he was wearing to disguise himself as a lady- having no padding against her hits), but ultimately still a Jobber. Unlike most of the Jobber Ladies Superia took on, Iron Maiden is actually one of her lieutenants, and actually maintained a position as a henchwoman. Of course, once Gru was gone, so was Maiden, until a "Thunderbolts" issue used her as one of the random disposable Jobbers captured by the T-Bolts during "Civil War". Totally a character that needs to get used more.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing a profile on Pink Pearl, one of my favorite characters!!
(No, am not a chubby-chaser, but just like the character!)

I think you did a good job on her stats. Being a fan and having read all her appearances, I would put her STR at a "4" instead of a 3. She did hold Aurora and the circus owner lady at arm's length for some time and each woman was about 140-150 pounds. This is exceedingly hard to do with a weight 1/10 of what she did. If I had to guesstimate how much Pearl could lift, I would say between 500 pounds and 800 pounds. I would also make her a definite PL7 if not an 8 and her Punch a PL7/8 as well (maybe +2 or higher Power Punch?) She did KO Aurora and Northstar. We really don't know if she is super-super-strong, but she is far stronger than even an athletic, well-exercised male and she is very tall and very heavy. (Look at her standing next to others in the comics, or the sound she makes as she approaches.) I think she could beat some heroes includeing the New Mutants levels!

For someone so large, Pearl is quite quick and agile. I think her AGI should be a "4" as well as her Presence. I mean, people actually gasped when they saw her coming in AF #109. After all, she is a sight to behold.

Pearl also has demonstrated amazing leaping ability, both in Alpha Flight 22 and her follow up in #109. Not sure how high to make her Leaping, but it definitely is an ability she has. She appears to leap at least 25 feet into the air easily. She does this as she is fighting a still-tied up Aurora in AF 22. Also, Pearl bounces very well, as her appearances have shown, so this may be tied in to her Fatty-Fatty-Boombalaty power. If so, I would make all her stats under here possibly a "3". She has very good body protection (she passed out from shock of the knife hitting her chest, not from fear or injury. She only has a scar from that incident.) Her mass is increased and her bouncing is probably a good 25-40 ft.

I think your Iron Maden is right-on target and Pearl should be able to go toe-to-toe with her.

Not trying to criticize Jabroniville, but only to help out. Hope you don't mind. After all, this big gal Pearl is one of my favorites!

Comic books, were a girl can fight effectivly with 5 inches heels, but only one fighter every ten uses body armor.

Personally I only saw Iron Maiden as one of Superia's lietenants in Cap, but I loved the idea of an armored martial artist. Unfortunalty she always reamined one of the BG filled of the Marvel universe.

I'm pretty sure the idea was originally that she'd be naked except for the black swirls, but it was deemed too inappropriate and the white was added in to make it look like she's got white body paint or some weird white spandex on underneath.

I'll modify her stats to reflect this, though as a villain with only three separate storyline appearances, she's still not gonna be TOO bad-ass :).

-Gruenwald may have offed about a billion Jobbers in his span as Cap-writer, but he also created his fair share: Ice Princess debuted alongside Chimera & Mysteria in the Superia story, but didn't do much of anything besides look annoyed (she sighed... that's about all the dialogue she ever got). She threw a Cold Wave out that stunned Diamondback, Asp & Paladin for a second, but her Icicle Blast was caught by Diamondback, who started using it as a melee weapon. Next scene had no mention of Princess at all, but it was confirmed that she was defeated. As such, she's a PL 7 weak "Ice Person" type of character with some Immunities. I'm not even sure about the Immunities or the Ice Creation, but what the hey?

-Mysteria's another newbie from the story, and despite seeming kinda like Mysterio given the name, all she does is create mist and try to shock people with her... *sigh*... Mist-Sticks. She was actually more of a hindrance than a help in her big debut fight, as she zapped her teammate Wrangler on the butt with her Stick. Later, she did the SAME THING to her teammate Bombshell! She's actually pretty handy, though- being able to Obscure people in her Mist, while at the same time choking them (note that the Obscure has a wider range than the Choking), and her Mist-Sticks stun people.

They may be one-shot jobbers but they look like they would be fun to throw at a low level group. Plus I kind of like the look of Ice Princess.

Thanks for being open to suggestions, Jabroniville! I am very glad to be able to help you tweak the character to match her comic book status. You did a great job with the pic and all the stats!

Just a few more points of tweaking, if you don't mind:

1) I would increase Pearl's presence to maybe a "4" because she is quite tall and heavy. In the 2 AF appearances, she is noticeably taller than everyone. Nothstar and Aurora are both 5'11" tall, and in her 1st appearance, Pearl appears to be a good foot to foot-and-a-half taller (6'11" to 7'5") although I would place her around 7'0-7'4". While her weight has never been established, I would place her around 750 pounds up to 1,000 pounds. That creates a most impressive presence, even if it might be considered in a negative way. In AF #109, the crowd literally 'gasps' as she comes into view! Plus her acting with "Lady-like Dainty Ways" back by brute force violence might also play into her presence.

2) I might tend to go with Leaping 2 (is that up to 30 ft?). While Pearl probably jumps 20-25 feet, a "2" would cover that range. But 1 is OK, and I am quite fine with it as a 15 foot jump is nothing to sneeze at!

3) You didn't add Bouncing. I would probably place that at a "1" or possibly "2". Sometimes Pearl bounces on her own offensively, to jump in closer and attack, while other times she bounces defensively, like when Heather Hudson and Diamond Lil both punched Pearl simultaneously which knocked Pearl through the front glass window of her business. She bounced a few times but was conscious and unhurt. Pearl then quickly called the police and had the women arrested for tresspassing and brawling in her legitimate business, Cloisters.

4) You removed the "Power Punch"! But I really liked it. While not a real "super-power" of Pearl's in the comic, it really sort of is her power. Think about it: someone of Pearl's height, weight, mass and strength would have a "Power Punch", as powerful as it would be unexpected! In fact, in her first appearance and her first panel, all we see is a fist/wrist. It is hard to tell if she broke through the wooden door and punced the circus owner in the face, or just punced the circus owner in the face when the door was opened, but she fell to the ground very dazed! I would definitely (re)add the "Power Punch" at maybe a "2" to even a "4" to match her strength. But it could be even higher, as with Pearl's height, weight and mass behind it, it could really add to the strength of her blows, sort of how a character with super-speed can add force to their blows, also creating a "power punch".

Thanks for listening. I Hope I helped. Please feel free to use these suggestions.
I think Pink Pearl, the pudgy propriator of perloined property is now perfectly profiled!!

1.Presence doesn't have too much to do with looks. A little, but not much. Plus a presence of 2 for someone who's basically a background character with only a few appearances, none of whom mention her as being charismatic or forceful of personality, is still pretty good.

2.There was a way in in 2E to stack the Leaping height as well as one's natural (Strength+athletics) jumping ability. You could easily do this with Pearl.

3.Bouncing isn't really a power in 3E like it was in 2E. With Leaping and fairly high defenses for one so big, that represents a bouncing ability to me. Not everything that can be described as a power or unique ability has to be built as a power.

4.Similar point to 3, Pearl has Strength of 4 and Power Attack. She can easily Power Attack for +4/-4, letting her reach Damage rank 8 (that's equivalent to a superhuman level punch). That's enough to bypass Green Lantern's Impervious Toughness. IF that doesn't say 'power punch' than I don't know what does.
