-Haha, Walruses are silly-looking. With giant fat muzzles, big rolly bodies, silly Seal-like appendages and big tusks, they're classic goofy creatures. But of course they're rather terrifying if you actually had to FIGHT one, being 2.5-ton super-heavyweights that do horrific damage with their tusks in combat situations. It's for the best that they're simple crustacean-hunters, sucking up slow-moving animals with their funny mouths and tongues. They save the tusks for beating the hell out of rival males like most large animals do- the animal kingdom's funny that way. Imagine if you could steal some dude's girlfriend just by running up and kicking his ass. I bet there'd be a lot less skinny/fat dorks out there if the only humans alive were the result of muscle-based jockishness.

-Walruses are quite powerful PL 6.5 creatures that make PL 7.5 in water- enough to make almost any predator think twice about challenging them. They're not unstoppable, and are rather slow and easy to hit, even in their native element, but they're tough enough to take a lot of punishment.

Responsibility (Duelling)- Elephant Seal Males duel and posture for mating rights. The older males possess many scars from these brutal contests.

Total: Abilities: -10 / Skills: 26--13 / Advantages: 6 / Powers: 30 / Defenses: 17 (58)

Era: Modern
Range: Southern Hemisphere Oceans
Colouring: Silvery-grey
Size: Up to 20 feet long (4,000-6,000 lbs., 2-5 tons)
Encounter Groups: Large pods (10-100)
Diet: Crustaceans, fish
Tactics: Challenge and brawl using massive bulk.

-Elephant Seals are absolutely hideous to behold, packing massive schnozzes that are not only bulbous, but allow them to reverse them inside-out and "blow bubbles" of blood-red flesh. Totally disgusting- which probably helps make the creature relatively ignored by the common folk, especially compared to the silly-looking Walrus and cute Seals of other varieties. Despite this, this largest of the Pinnipeds (and in fact, all Carnivora species- nothing is larger for that Order, period) has very cute pups, which are raised by females dwarfed by the huge, 5-ton males.

-Elephant Seals are the highest-PL Pinnipeds, being absolutely huge and doing tons of damage. They're PL 7.5 on land (and note their size making them a notch faster than HUMANS, even on-land! One can actually outrun you over the sand-dunes, which is a horrifying prospect to think about), and PL 8.5 in the water, meaning that very few predators would bother to mess with one. Only a Great White Shark or Killer Whale would even bother for oceanic carnivores, so these guys are near the top of the food chain.

ORDER- CETACEA:
-Cetaceans, more commonly known as Whales, are the Kings of the Sea, containing almost all of the largest animals on the face of the Earth. They're so big that the modern versions are actually the largest organisms to EVER exist on the planet, dwarfing any Dinosaur or Fish species that has ever lived. This is in sharp contrast to nearly every other animal species, which has DROPPED in size over the millennia to account for new hunting methods (Short-Faced Bear >> Grizzly/Polar Bear, Saurosuchus >> Saltwater Crocodile, Moa >> Ostrich, Haast's Eagle >> Bald Eagle, etc.), the Whales are currently as big as they have ever been.

-Curiously, while all Mammals are derived from creatures that once escaped the oceans and moved onto land, Cetacea are among the few that reversed the trend and went BACK, evolving from the same ancestors the Hippopotami had, losing their legs and converting into flippered creatures, mimicking fish. I've always found it very bizarre and fascinating that THREE separate groups of Animal- Reptilia, Mammalia AND the various Fish Classes, have all evolved nearly the exact same appearance over the years for living at sea- Sharks, Dolphins and Ichthyosaurs all look very much alike, and take the same ecological niches. Of course, the reptiles went the way of the Dinosaur.

-I was never a "Whale Fan" as a kid, preferring the more bad-ass and hunter-looking Sharks, but the years have made me appreciate these animals a lot more. Not just for their majestic nature and sheer size- most of them actually LOOK very cool, and some are really quite bad-ass. Dolphins haven't held up, though- those things are jerks. And rapists (it's true!). Whales are, of course, separated into two distinct groups: Mysticeti (the Baleen Whales), which use rows of balen plates in their mouths to filter tiny crustaceans and fish out of the ocean water, and Odontoceti (the Toothed Whales), which are more active hunters, using their sharp teeth to capture fish and other undersea creatures in a predatory manner.

ODONTOCETI FAMILY (Order- Cetacea):
-The Toothed Whales are the bad-ass fighters of the Whales, and are set up as quick, elite powerhouses that do damage fast, and eat up the remains. Included in this Family are two of the mightiest carnivores of all time- the Killer Whale and the Sperm Whale. Unlike Baleen Whales, which generally all look the same with tiny modifications, the Toothy Ones are a MUCH more diverse group, covering many different ecological niches. The Family consists of many groups: Dolphins, River Dolphins, Porpoises, White Whales, Sperm Whales & Beaked Whales, some of which are much more well-known than others. And notably, these are amongst the smartest of all the animals in the world- the Bottlenose Dolphin has intelligence rivalling that of the smartest Primates, and is generally amongst the Top Three smartest things on Earth. As such, I boost their Intelligence beyond normal animal limits, hitting -3 in most cases.

-Curiously, many of the Whales can breed with each other- Pilot Whale/Dolphin and Common/Bottlenose hybrids are known to science, and even rather common, even in the wild.

AMAZON RIVER DOLPHIN (Inia geoffrensis)
Role:
World's Ugliest Dolphin, Rare River Predator
PL 4 (46)- Minion Rank 4, Sidekick Rank 10
Normal Version:
PL 2
STRENGTH 4 STAMINA 4 AGILITY 2
FIGHTING 2 DEXTERITY 0
INTELLIGENCE -4 AWARENESS 1 PRESENCE -2

Skills:

Athletics 3 (+7)
Close Combat (Unarmed) 2 (+4)
Expertise (Survival) 5 (+6)
Insight 4 (+5)
Perception 5 (+6)
Stealth 4 (+6)

Advantages:
Fast Grab

Powers:
"Echolocation & Vision" Senses 4 (Extended, Ultra & Accurate Hearing) [4]

"Sea Creature"
Swimming 4 (8 mph) [4]
Immunity 2 (Cold, Drowning) (Flaws: Limited to Half-Effect) [1]

Offense:
Unarmed +2 (+4 Damage, DC 19)
Initiative +2

Defenses:
Dodge +4 (DC 14), Parry +4 (DC 14), Toughness +4, Fortitude +6, Will +4

Complications:
Disabled (Animal)- River Dolphins cannot speak to humans, nor use their flippers to easily manipulate objects.
Responsibility (Nearly Extinct)- The Amazon River Dolphin is considered vulnerable, but it's relatives in the Circle of Animal Death in Asia are critically-endangered, meaning there's almost none left.
Disabled (Scent)- Dolphins are thought to have either no sense of smell at all, or only tiny amounts of scent capability. Their blowholes are closed when underwater, and useless in open air.

Total: Abilities: 14 / Skills: 26--13 / Advantages: 1 / Powers: 9 / Defenses: 9 (46)

Era: Modern
Range: South America's Amazon River System
Colouring: Pinky-white
Size: Up to 8.5 feet long (220-350 lbs.)
Encounter Groups: Small groups (usually 2, sometimes 20)
Diet: Crustaceans, fish
Tactics: Flee from combat, bite fish with elongated beak.

-A fairly slow-moving (comparatively) Dolphin, these things are truly bizarre. Nearly-blind, chubby, tiny-eyed freak-Dolphins, the River Dolphin group is extremely rare in most parts of it's range. This Amazon River Dolphin is Vulnerable, and is by far the most populous- The Ganges & Yangtze River Dolphins are both nearly extinct. Unlike other Dolphins, they don't have fused necks, so they can actually turn their head from side to side. These are also the weakest Dolphins, and easily among the smallest, so they're the lowest-PL overall. Each one is only PL 3 on offense, PL 4 on defense, and as mainly fish-killers, it's no surprise. Being nearly blind, they're lower on Senses than most Dolphins, but maintain the Extended/Accurate/Ultra-Hearing that all Dolphins possess- this Sonar is built using the DCA book's set-up for a Dolphin (Ultra-Hearing with Accurate), with a boost to showcase their extended Range.

Era: Modern
Range: Nearly All Coastlines
Colouring: Black, white & yellow
Size: Up to 8.5 feet long (175 lbs.)
Encounter Groups: Huge pods (10-2,000)
Diet: Crustaceans, squid, fish
Tactics: Flee from combat, bite fish with beak or ram at top speed.

-Common Dolphins are pretty sweet, and I think it's a shame that they're generally ignored in a wide world of cetaceans in favour of the Bottlenose or other, weirder ones. They look cool, they're pretty, and travel around in pods of thousands. It might be a size thing- humans are easily impressed by large creatures, and 1,000-pound Bottlenose Dolphins are much more stand-out in their own way compared to these relatively-tiny 175-pounders. This extends to most of the Porpoises as well, being much smaller, but very neat, Cetaceans.

-The Common Dolphin and many Porpoises maintain this PL 4 build, balanced heavily towards Accuracy & Defense, being really hard to hit, but being about as small as an average human being, just with a dolphin's compact musculature, giving them slightly-higher Strength. Among the species fitting this build are: The Common Dolphin, Harbor Porpoise, Vaquita (105-lb. Californian critically-endangered super-tiny Dolphin with a tiny range under the Gulf), Finless Porpoise (no dorsal fin), Dusky Dolphin (a pretty white-sided species), Spotted Dolphin (a REALLY cool-looking mottled group of species), Pacific White-Sided Dolphin, Northern Right-Whale Dolphin (a skinny, odd-looking dorsal fin-less guy), Commerson's Dolphin (funny-looking chubby, stocky critter), and the Hector's Dolphin (same). All of them are 200-lbs. or less.

Total: Abilities: 14 / Skills: 22--11 / Advantages: 4 / Powers: 19 / Defenses: 10 (58)

Era: Modern
Range: North America & North Russian waters.
Colouring: Black with white
Size: Up to 8 feet long (380-440 lbs.)
Encounter Groups: Small schools merging to huge pods (10-2,000)
Diet: Crustaceans, squid, fish
Tactics: Flee from combat, bite fish or ram at top speed.

-Dall's Porpoises are a chubbier, sillier-looking type of Toothed Whale. I was always interested by Porpoises- they're less impressive than Dolphins, so most people overlook them, but they're kind of neat. All chubby and round and stuff. They're differentiated physically by their very short dorsal fins and rounded heads, lacking the super-long beaks of Dolphins. The Dall's Porpoise is actually freakishly fast, hitting 50 mph in the water. Being a bit larger than the lower-class of Dolphin, they adopt PL 4.5 status, being big, 400-pound-ish carnivores. They're not elite, but they're getting stronger.

-There are numerous species around this body weight. The same stats can easily be used for the Atlantic Humpback Dolphin (has a small hump), Risso's Dolphin (beakless Porpoise-looking grey/white thing), White-Beaked Dolphin and even a little-known or seen individual called the Dwarf Sperm Whale, which is actually a type of Sperm Whale that only weights 660 pounds! It's a weird, fat-looking creature that is very rarely seen, but is locally common on coastlines all over the world. Many of these drop a bit in speed, but may be stronger.

Arrr! Avast and ahoy! Now we're gettin' somewhere with some intrestin' sea critters. Not that the Seals and Sea Lions weren't interesting, I just really think whales are cool. Face it, Moby Dick was about 100...no, 1000 times cooler than Captain Ahab. and these smaller guys? Well, they rock the weird/cute thing.

Ahh Platiypi. The one true proof of not only the existence of god, but the fact that god has a sense of Humor.

A sick andvery twisted one which i can appreciate but a sense of humor none the less.

The scary thing about Seals is that they trully arent fat as in obese. think of them especially walrus, elephant seals and the like as Sumo Wrestlers, more muscle then fat with the blubber that they have being insulating.

The frightening thing is that on land they look all roly poly, but in the water those things can swim like a ballerina dances. Its as about as close to pure poetry as you can get shy fo watching a dolphin swim.

Dolphins remain a favorite for me. Their so freaking smart that Douglas Adams himself commented on it as them being the second smartest species on the planet after White Lab mice. They are incredibly people friendly and have been known to rescue swimmers stranded in the ocean. One such account had a swimmer who literally was moments away from being a shark meal, before a pod of dolphins intervened drove the shark off then circled the swimmer to protect him untill he was finally rescued.

Whales are majestic creatures and can follow the logic of Star Trek 4 they too are amazingly intelligent beings. Add that in with something that can sink a large boat with the slap of a tail, and you have a grea companion for a sea going hero.

Hope to see some Sharks soon.

Like whales there is something to be said about a trully perfect creature. A creature that with the exception of its size has LITERALLY not changed in the slightest and is the exact same as it was millions of years ago.

And you want to know a scary fact? The largest species the Carcharadon Megaladon over 60+ feet of Teeth and predator, has not been seen for millenia. But this does not mean it is extinct. There are multiple thermal layers in the deep ocean where Mankind has not been able to thoroughly explore and the ocean is so vast that we have yet to explore even a third of it honestly. So the possibility of a 60+ foot apex super predator swimming around down in the deep ocean feeding on 100+ foot squids and whales is not so far fetched.

And if you think they are extinct well heres one little fact to chew on that supports that they may not be.

What happens to Sharks when they die?

They sink to the bottom and the only thing that remains is their jaws and teeth.
Dr. Silverback has wryly observed that this is like trying to teach lolcats about Shakespeare

Great Dolphins. They are one of the things I am about to work on myself. This is a great build.

Total: Abilities: 14 / Skills: 44--22 / Advantages: 6 / Powers: 22 / Defenses: 13 (77)

Era: Modern
Range: All oceans & seas save the very coldest
Colouring: Grey with white
Size: Up to 13 feet long (Up to 1,100 lbs.)
Encounter Groups: Small schools merging to huge pods (10-2,000)
Diet: Crustaceans, squid, fish
Tactics: Flee from combat, bite fish or ram at top speed.

-Bottlenose Dolphins are the largest of the beaked variety, thought they give up a great deal of weight to other toothed whales. Despite this, they're elite and ultra-intelligent, and easily the favourite of the Family amongst humans. Their genius is extraordinary and well-documented- they have shown intellect beyond that of everything but the Greater Apes, and even then they're about equal. They can understand complex symbols, directions and the like better than even the most well-trained dog. Despite this, they're far more dangerous than most people suspect. Though cute, they weight over 1,000 pounds in some instances, and can and will kill larger animals that threaten them. Dolphins have also been known to commit infanticide (once murdering an infant in front of it's mother), attack & kill Porpoises of various kinds (believed to be competition for food- they leave the corpses uneaten), and the aggressively-horny males have been known to attack and hump the crap out of unsuspecting HUMANS. Yes, these are in fact, enormous Sea Rapists.

-The Bottlenose Dolphin is an impressive PL 6 specimen, being extremely agile, very skilled, and quite strong- at least as strong as a Lion or Horse in some instances, especially once they get going with their Nose Attack. Plus they live in groups, and are excellent at working as a team. And look at that points-cost- these things are PRICEY, and with 20 points spent on Skills, no wonder. They're cute, but mighty, and VERY accurate compared to most animals of similar size. They give up power to the larger Whales, but are much better fighters, likely hitting the same PL.

-The official 2e & 3e builds for Dolphins have always seemed pretty low to me. They don't even have Growth (despite being twice as heavy as Lions sometimes- which had Growth all the time), and they're PL 3 weenies when almost all the big-time predators were at least over PL 5. Now, many Bottlenoses are smaller than the 1,100-pound MAX for the species (some are even half the size), but that's still a 500-pounder, which should earn it some boosted Strength. If you want to stat up a "Flipper"-esque smaller variety, just knock off a rank or two of Strength and boost the accuracy.

Total: Abilities: -4 / Skills: 22--11 / Advantages: 2 / Powers: 27 / Defenses: 13 (49)

Era: Modern
Range: Absolute Northernmost Arctic waters
Colouring: White with black mottling
Size: Up to 15 feet long (Up to 3,500 lbs.)
Encounter Groups: Small to large pods (5-50)
Diet: Crustaceans, mollusks, fish
Tactics: Duel with large tusks, suck up small prey using powerful lips & mouth.

-Looking at the Narwhal, it's not hard to see how people could mistake their tusks for the horns of some magnificent land-creature. Of course, finding these horns are probably what led to the Unicorn myth in the first place. Narwhals are fairly large Toothed Whales, living in extremely cold Arctic Waters, and duel each other for mating rights using their large tusks, which are really just bizarre teeth that have grown straight out. This is only found in males, and only one tooth grows out that way... except when it doesn't. See, there's variants all over the place, and many examples of females with tusks, males with TWO tusks, and even one case of a FEMALE with two tusks!

-Narwhals don't use their tusks for fighting, except in rare cases against other males (and even then it's usually just pushing and prodding- not outright attack), but an Elite version just may well attack other creatures with it. It's only PL 6, like the Bottlenose Dolphin, but is quite strong, doing +8 damage- these things are pretty tough, but can be readily killed by skilled humans using harpoons from a kayak. Note that they earn direct Immunities, not halfsies, because of their absolutely HUGE dives, and their living in the coldest waters on Earth.

-Belugas look pretty sweet. They're some of the purest white things ever- groups of them numbering in the hundreds during mating season look absolutely INCREDIBLE. They're more populous than most whale species, but are endangered in some areas- but generally they're OK. They use virtually the same stats as the Narwhal, but lose a PL offensively thanks to their lack of major weapons (they don't attack things larger than small fish or squid on a regular basis.

-I've actually been interested in the "Middle Ground" Whales lately. Everyone knows the Dolphins and the Orcas, but there's actually a pretty hefty group in the middle between the two. The False Killer Whales & Pilot Whales (slightly larger but slower) are really quite cool. These guys gain their name from being, well, pretty darn close to the actual Killer Whale in appearance, just lacking the white parts, not to mention ten feet and about TEN TONS OF WEIGHT. But really, that can be enough to confuse people when you're in the water and have no concept or how big things are with nothing to compare them to visually (a similar effect likely causes sea monster sightings). They're large, impressive hunters, and are a bit beyond even PL 7. Still cheaper than the brilliant Dolphins, though.

-Similar stats go to a very large, and very odd creature- the Bottlenose Whale, which looks like some kind of bizarre hybrid between a Bottlenose Dolphin and a Beluga Whale. It's 33 feet long, chubby and with a Dolphin's head, but is mottled white and grey. It's a bit stronger, but much less accurate than a False Killer Whale.

-And yup, it's the Killer Whale, the mighty apex predator of the seas, capable of bringing down almost anything. Groups of these things (they're called "The Wolves of the Sea" for a reason) can bring down BLUE WHALES (they eat only the meaty tongue), and even solitary, they're lethal fighters. They've been observed killing Sea Lions via either knocking ice floes over into the waiting teeth of it's allies, or by deliberately BEACHING ITSELF, taking a massive sliding dive onto a poor sea mammal sitting on the shoreline, then bounding back into the water when the tide swishes back seconds later. They have even preyed upon swimming Moose, and Great White Sharks.

-There's been a great effort over the decades to reduce the "Killer" aspect of it's name- they're not usually dangerous to humans, and are rather fascinated and curious of it. Even so, you've got to be careful around something that can weigh eleven tons- it can kill you by accident, and aggressive males have caused deaths before. Look at that recent Sea World incident. They are BIG and can cause a hell of a lot of damage.

-Killer Whales are PL 9.5, being as strong and tough as Elephants, but pack even more accuracy thanks to their undersea speed. These things practically define power, and are extremely-capable mass predators, being able to take out nearly anything, especially in larger numbers. How bad-ass are they? Aside from the aforementioned feats, one of the surefire ways to deter sharks of any kind is to play Orca Song in the nearby area. That's right, even GREAT WHITES would not screw with these things in a million years.

A good example of their hunting methods (as well as an odd act of mercy): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWsN63PRCW8

Size: Up to 65 feet long (30-63 tons)
Encounter Groups: Solitary or pods (1-20)
Diet: Giant Squid, fish.
Tactics: Deep dives and fierce grappling bites with large prey

-The Sperm Whale is the mightiest of all carnivores, and the largest predator currently stalking the seas. It's a true 65-foot, 63-ton titan that will crush absolutely anything that screws with it. It's for the best that they don't hunt humans. Their... interesting... name comes from the "Spermaceti" organ, a huge waxy-oil substance-filled organ that, when fried, resembles... well, you know. Gross. But even with that questionable name, you've got one of the most visually unique animals on Earth, and a true powerhouse.

-They feed by diving deeper than any other mammal could possibly survive, and combat everything from ordinary squid to the types we've barely ever seen (in fact, the only real evidence we had for years that the Giant or Colossal Squid was real was scarring on the Sperm Whale's body). They make the loudest vocalizations of any animal on Earth. Not normally dangerous to humans, but more than one ship has been capsized by an angry bull (like the whaling ship "Essex" in 1820- which got rammed twice by a large bull when they threatened it's pod, and was sunk, resulting in mass cannibalism from 95 days at-sea), or even by a clumsy one!

-At PL 11, the Sperm Whale is as big and as tough as it gets for "Real World" animals. They do +13 Damage, have Power Attack, +14 Toughness (5 of it Impervious), and a Body Ram Area Attack that can wipe out anybody within 30 feet. These suckers are BIG, and are so power-heavy that nothing else in the seas could really stand a chance. Their only natural predators are the Killer/Pilot/False Killer Whale group, and even then they could only rarely hope to take an adult female (usually it's just calves)- a full-grown bull? No chance.

-The Basilosaurus is the largest oceanic predator of it's era, and actually surpasses the size of the Mosasaurs such as Tylosaurus, and looks almost the same- which is bizarre when you consider that this "saurus" isn't a reptile at all- it's actually a primitive WHALE. It just looked so similar to sea monsters of the reptilian age that scientists named it "King Lizard" by virtue of it's sheer size. Some tried to change the name to the more-proper "Zeuglodon" ("whale-like yoke teeth"), but silly Paleontological name precedence means that it HAS to be called Basilosaurus. Not that it isn't a cooler name or anything.

-It's a PL 11 super-heavyweight monster, dishing out +15 damage, and being rather accurate, since it's hard to dodge something that's head is twice your size. It's quite similar to the Sperm Whale, but scales higher for damage since it's a fair bit larger.

That instance was also responsible for inspiring Herman Melvilles famous little story about a white whale and the moral about vengance and what it can cost.
Dr. Silverback has wryly observed that this is like trying to teach lolcats about Shakespeare

MYSTICETI FAMILY (Order- Cetacea):
-The Baleen Whales are the largest animals that have ever lived on our planet, and have a special place in our imagination because of it. Of course, that didn't stop us from nearly wiping out their Family a century ago, and doesn't stop the Japanese from harvesting them today (don't get me wrong- I'm no fan of "Whale Wars"- lying to make your cause seem better and sitting on your ass and not actually accomplishing anything is retarded- it's just that apparently everyone east of the Middle East has an insane mad-on for every rare animal species on Earth. Just saying.). I guess being big, fat and slow, and packing on tons upon tons of meat, doesn't add up to a positive relationship with humans. Even the SMALLEST versions of this Family are huge- they go from the Minke Whales (a trim & svelte 14.5 tons) to the Blue Whale in size and scope.

Colouring: Blue/black with white patches
Size: Up to 46 feet long (27-33 tons)
Encounter Groups: Pods (2-15)
Diet: Plankton, krill, small fish
Tactics: Massive gulps of tiny prey, or large bubble-nets to entrap large amounts of fish.

-Humpback Whales are pretty sweet, and the iconic "breaching" whale of the world. Their titanic leaps allow them to go clear of the water (no small feat when you weight thirty frickin' tons), and some have even jumped constantly for over an hour! As a Baleen Whale, it's no ass-kicker despite it's size, but they have some brilliant hunting mehtods- forming "Bubble Nets" or other shapes from blown air bubbles, trapping terrified fish in these circles while their allies scoop up the helpless tiny animals. Yes, a thirty-ton animal that uses teamwork and tools to kill. It's all for the best that they only eat small things.

-Humpbacks are the start of my Baleen Whale builds, and it differs heavily from the "official" builds, which fail to showcase Area Damage (+10 in this instance, it's PL 9 normally) or much of their capabilities. I threw in the "Bubble Net" for the hell of it- it's only a point- as well as higher Dodge & Parry than the negative range- it's still easy as hell to hit (I can't imagine ANY character missing- you'd have to literally roll a one to three unless you went REALLY power-heavy), but it's an athletic super-animal.

-A few Whales are of similar size and scope for this Sub-order. The Bryde's Whale (pronounced "Broodah" for some reason) is 27.5 tons, the Sei Whale (27.5 tons), and the Grey Whale (made famous by "that Star Trek with the whales" is 38.5 tons. The Bryde's is very much a generic Baleen Whale in miniature, lacking stuff like barnacles everywhere, the Sei Whale is similar, but 52 feet long (just very thin), and the Grey is... well, grey, and covered in said barnacles. For stats, they're much the same, but lose the Sea Acrobatics, as well as the full-on breaching ability (probably only PL 8 or so).

-Everyone knows these guys, for obvious reasons. I mean, hugest animal ever? Kinda stands out. A big deal is made out of this- human children can crawl through their largest arteries, their heart is as big as a VW Beetle, etc. It's so big that the only reasonable scientific name scientists would come up with was a pun- "musculus" means "Mouse". They have no natural predators aside from Orcas (which pick at them, causing horrible wounds over time) and man- so much so that they were nearly wiped out half a century ago. Only vast protective efforts have kept them alive, and they're still on unsteady ground as far as their continued existence goes. But they're impressive just for their enormous size.

-The Blue Whales are tough to stat, since they never really engage in combat. It's presumed they can cause horrific damage if they get enough speed, but they rarely do, so even this "Elite" version has little to no accuracy. However, it still possesses a Body Ram attack, so maintains PL 10 status. Only problem is, you're gonna be REAL hard-up to cause lasting damage to something this tough. Whole Orca Pods will follow them for DAYS biting pieces off before they die.

-There's only a few comparable Whales up this high on the size scale. The Sei Whale and the Fin Whale are both much larger than the Humpback, but twenty feet or so smaller than the Blue Whale. They probably adjust their stats only by a level or two.

yeah theya re trully awe inspiring. And to think that something that large subsists on a diet of microscopic shrimp and fish.

Thanks, guys. It's always nice to hear from some of the best builders around Prodigy. And you rock too Catsi. And Horsenhero. And whoever else has said something.
