Actually what did it for me, besides the James Hong sighting which was indeed epic, is that in college, there was a guy that worked at the same bar my best friend did. We all started hanging out because he was a good guy, and his favorite movie was Big Trouble in Little China. And after every movie we would go see, and I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE, he would always say something to the effect of "it was a good movie, but it was no Big Trouble in Little China". And it would piss off one our other other friends that hung out with us to high heaven and the two of them would always get into a tiff with the guy that loved Big Trouble in Little China going off on some rant about why it was the best movie ever and our other friend cussing at him and telling him how stupid he was. And my best friend and I would crack up laughing. You could set your watch by the whole deal.

So my best friend and I have had a running joke for almost 25 years that whenever we see a movie we always say, almost in unison as we leave the theatre or turn off the DVD player, that "it was a good, but it was no Big Trouble in Little China". And we laugh every time.
