I have other plans for the Batgirls once time allows. I have ALWAYS wanted to run Cassandra Cain vs. X-23.

I'm thinking Babs needs a solo test, too.

or BATROC'S BRIGADE!

I like that, too. Looks the boys are going to get a lot of work in. I was considering bumping them up to PL9 since that seems more "DCA compatible" but I think I am going to try them at their current PL8 first. I've been wanting to test both Caps, too, so maybe I could have Bucky Cap or Steve come in for a clean up round at the end, regardless of who's winning. I am definitely going to have to move Machete and Zaran up to PL9, though. If Ambush Bug is PL9, then those mooks should be, too.

Hey Boss! I haven't done a build for the Market of J, so I was wondering - you ever want to see what Cyclops would look like if Bruce Wayne had adopted him instead of being snatched up by Professor Xavier?

Electron Mastery: 24 pt array; 26 pts
[i]Electron Blast: Ranged Damage 12; 24 pts

Electron Force Field: Protection 5, Impervious 5 (10 ranks), (Extra: Affects Others, Flaw: Sustained); 1 pt

Flight: Flight 8 (500mph); 16 pts

EQUIPMENT:
NONE

OFFENSE:
Initiative +9

Ranged Attack +10 [Electron Blast +12]
The Voice [Whisper +16, Cone Area; Stunning Whisper +16, Cone Area]

DEFENSES:
Dodge +12 [DC22] Parry +12 [DC22]
Toughness +10 (+14 with Force Field, +5 Impervious with Force Field), Fortitude +12, Will +15

COMPLICATIONS:
Accident: If he is not careful with his voice, he can destroy a lot more than he intends
Disability: He cannot speak unless he needs to use his powerful voice, otherwise he must communicate with sign or body language
Enemy: Vulcan, Maximus the Mad (sometimes)
Power Loss: If he loses his tuning fork, he can completely lose or lose control of his powers
Relationships: His wife Medusa, the Inhuman Royal Family
Responsibility: The Inhuman race
Weakness: Inhumans are particularly susceptible to diseases, toxins and pollutants

Abilities 94 + Skills 18 (36 ranks) + Advantages 25 + Powers 155 + Defenses 23 = 315 / 315

Comments: I didn’t really get Black Bolt as a cool character until my geek rebirth about 10 years ago. When I read comics in the 70s and 80s, I just didn’t think the Inhumans were all that. As I have gotten older, I find them fascinating. Especially their silent leader, Blackagar Boltagon. Granted, Vulcan took him out (and himself) in War of Kings, but he’ll be back. You can’t keep a good electron manipulator down.

I am quite proud of myself with this build for the simple reason that I made him technically playable at 15 pts per rank, as recommended. Granted, I had to add the Inhuman royal family as Sidekicks to do so, but still, it counts. I had to make him PL20 for his voice to work the way I wanted, which was a pure cone as opposed to a targeted area cone like I did in 2E. Outside of that, he’s about a PL13 offensively with the Master Blow and defensively a PL12, which felt about right. If he keeps his mouth shut, he can still hang with just about anyone but if he speaks, it’s all over but the shouting, pun intended…

Clean Up 7/10/11: Took Black Bolt down to a PL16, leaving his PL20 cosmic level voice for power stunting. Otherwise, he can still level a city block with little trouble if he wants.

While I was working on my high level builds, I thought I would clean up Black Bolt. My original PL20 was a bit overpowered, even if I do seem him as one of the baddest men on the planet. A PL16 area like that is nothing to sneeze at for sure...

Comments: I don't think anyone has gotten around to the Transformers yet in 3E, so I figured I would kick it off with a big time build. And they don’t get much bigger than Optimus Prime. In status, that is, I'm not counting other actual "bigger" Cybertronians, of which there are many...

Anyway, you know me, I'll go over this again, but I felt like this was a good start for the movie incarnation of OP. I'll get around to the others over time, and I'm sure once Dark of The Moon hits, I'll be all Transformers crazy again.

Clean Up 4/20/11: OK, fixed the Metamorph issue. I'll handwave his truck form or whip up a little template if I need it, but I'm not going to worry about that right now.

Clean Up 7/10/11: OP gets a review as I start a BIG Transformers run.

I really liked Dark of the Moon. Bay and Co. redeemed themselves after Revenge of The Fallen IMHO. And Optimus once again kicked all kinds of ass, so I had to pump up his build a bit. Get ready for a big run on the Cybertronians although I won't get to all of them that had screen time this run, my goal is that I eventually will.

Dodge +8 [DC18] Parry +10 [DC20]
Toughness +16 (+8 Impervious), Fortitude +14, Will +14

COMPLICATIONS:
Alien: Megatron and the other Cybertronians sometimes have problems grasping the culture of Earth
Enemy: Optimus Prime, The Autobots
Hatred: He hates humanity, seeing them as something of a virus he needs to purge from the planet he wants to control
Motivation: Ruling the world, restoring Cybertron and proving himself to be Prime's superior
Vulnerable: The Cybertronians are vulnerable to Magnetic attacks, taking at extra degree of failure against them
Vulnerable: The Cybertronians are susceptible to extreme cold, taking an extra degree of failure against cold attacks

Abilities 62 + Skills 26 (52 ranks) + Advantages 19 + Powers 101 + Defenses 30 = 238 / 238

Comments: The one thing I don’t like about the last two Transformers movies is the way that Megatron has fallen off from a major badass to secondary antagonist to merely a scheming shell of himself in the last film. He was probably at least a PL up on OP in the first movie, then the second, even though he kills OP, had a lot of help and OP was winning most of the time. In the final fight, he really takes a whoopin’ from Prime, even with the help of the Fallen. In this last movie, it’s not even a real fight, OP pwns him pretty easily. So he probably went from PL15, to PL13 to PL12, really. Either that or OP went the opposite way. Go fig.

Anyway, this Megatron is meant to go toe-to-toe with Prime and any other big hitters of the DCA Thorpacoverse. OP has the better defense, but Megatron is better on offense. I built his skills an advantages to be more about flexing his brute strength and force of will than being a manipulator. That’s Starscreams role. I based Megatron’s Inspire on the fear he puts in his troops, not his planning or his charisma. You kick ass or he eats your spark. THAT’S Inspiration.

Can’t wait to play him. But alas, I have 20 more Transformers to go (at least), so it will have to wait.

Vulnerable: The Cybertronians are susceptible to extreme cold, taking an extra degree of failure against cold attacks

Abilities 58 + Skills 29 (58 ranks) + Advantages 20 + Powers 66 + Defenses 26 = 199 / 199

Comments: Optimus Prime may be the main man in the Transformers franchise, but Bumblebee is the main scene stealer. He gets physical comedy, he’s the closest to Sam and man oh man, does he kick Decepticon ASS. His fights in the last two movies have been more fun to watch (to me) than Optimus’ smackdowns on Megatron and others.

I was really struggling with his PL since I’m not sure he’s a PL12, but seeing as how he lays beatdowns on all the mook Decepticons and the ones that are closer to his level (Rampage, Barricade and others), PL11 on offense felt right and PL12 on defense seemed good since the bigger Decepticons hardly ever hit him but when they do, he feels it.

Abilities 48 + Skills 31 (62 ranks) + Advantages 21 + Powers 110 + Defenses 22 = 232 / 232

Comments: I love good old scheming Starscream. His PL is deceptive since he’s really about a PL9-10 on the ground, but in the air, he’s pretty much a PL13. He still has my favorite action scene of all three movies in the first where he takes out those F-22’s over LA. That just rocked.

Comments: The Dreads were pretty cool in Dark of the Moon. They are 3 brothers who transform from black SUVs into wicked Decepticons with “dreadlocks” and an athletic, quick fighting style. Them running down the road after transforming and flipping over cars and stuff as they chased Bumblebee and Sam was really wicked.

You know, Thorp, since you have a mega-crossover universe for your games, I hope to one day see a storyline of Megatron getting his hands on a Cosmic Cube and use it to acquire the powers of Green Ronin's own Omega, becoming OMEGATRON!

Hey Thorp !

I am loving your Transformers run.

Having an equally full cross-over universe on my hands I'm going to have to "steal" a few of these.

I'm also pleased to find another person who has a bot-crush on Bumblebee. Best part of RotF was Bee's fight to protect Sam...

I have other plans for the Batgirls once time allows. I have ALWAYS wanted to run Cassandra Cain vs. X-23.

I like that. I reeeeeally like that... 8)

I second both of these!

Also very nice Transformers builds! I agree with you about Megatron's decline. It's too bad that he got demoted to toady/minion in the last two film, especially after such and awesome showing in the first one. Oh and Bumblebee is DA MAN! 8)
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

Now that would be fun! I'll be interested to see how Omega is statted in 3E.

No need to steal, my good Bladewind, that's the reason J-Mart is here. To provide mediocre quality builds at the lowest princes on the Atomic Think Tank! We're practically giving builds away! :D

I thought Bee's fight with Rampage and Ravage was the best part of ROTF, too. That is if you discount Megan Fox running in slo-mo across the desert.
