Maybe Dresden with Hellboy and just for fun the Expendables. Okay that might not be fair. Dresden and Hellboy would be fun to see along with some magic characters perhaps. Or maybe with the X-men. I hope all her powers make sense. Some actions are move and some are free. Plus a couple have the continuous extra. A lot to keep track of. Where will you post it if you do?

Probably at the Mart, but if (and with me and actual playing, it's a big IF) I get to it, I can post it here, too.

I'm not that familiar with her, so I'd like to ask what book she's from and what demons would be good fodder for Dresden and/or Hellboy and Sly's boys to mow down before she showed up and they have to call in the big guns.

I haven't created her minions yet though I might. But perhaps Abyssal Scavengers, Demon Spawn Adepts, and Rutterkin Foot Soldiers. Oh and she is from the Demonicon book.

It will use it's Freezing Breath and Icy Longspear to prevent enemies from escaping.

I know the Basilisk should have a sense dependent limitation but in the new Monster Vault in the keywords it does not mention gaze though it is in the name of the power. So I am not sure if that is a mistake or if that is how they wanted it to be built.

I think that's just a quirk between systems. I think for MnM, sense dependent is appropriate. For 4E, probably not. It would be encompassed in the Reflex defense.

D&D 4E does have gaze as a keyword and the original writeup in MM1 for the basilisk had it as a keyword so I will probably make it sense dependent. Not sure if I will need to make it a cone area effect or not. The version I made is from Monster Vault.

Design Notes
This is Selephra the Bramble Queen for D&D Fourth Edition. She appeared in Dungeon #185. Offensively she is PL 12 due to her many Briar attacks. Defensively she is PL 15 due to her Dodge and Toughness. Selephra is the offspring of Oron Lord of the Green Fey, and one of the most favored. In those days she was joyful and spontaneous. She met a man named Torrheval who she fell in love with. He was a man of great honor and though he loved Selephra he always put duty first. She admired that. One day he had to go off to war and she would have gone with him but her father would not allow it. She waited for his return day after day. She sat on the edge of the woods with her back against an ancient tree and she swore she would stay there till his return. Over time the forest grew through her flesh and wrapped itself around her heart and bone. She came to understand the voices of the animals and trees. One day one of her Father's advisers told her about a mortal sorceress who had hold of a general in her castle. She arose immediately and followed the advisor to the mortal realm where the castle was located. She tore through the castle's defenders, obliterating towers, and killed the sorceress with her own hands. She found Torrheval in the highest tower in an unlocked room. When he recognized her through the vines and branches he recoiled. She was hurt and her fury was boundless. This was not the man she loved. The room he was in was not a prison but a bedchamber. When Selephra left the castle it was totally destroyed leaving only corpses and rubble. After this she was guided by hatred and bitterness. She hates mortals, especially males. her followers form a court within the Green Fey, which include Hags, Dryads, Lamias, and Wood Brides. Few of her advisers are men, save for Rheusendrous. He combines the worst aspects of hag and fomorian. Her Grieving Palace is nothing more than the cottage she stayed at when Torrheval was gone. It is filthy and full of holes but visitors who do not say it is a palace will feel her wrath. In battle she fights from a distance using Writhing Briar and Lashing Briar. She has no problems putting allies in harm's way using Parasitic Germination and Prodding Briar. She uses Deceptive Veil to appear as a beautiful eladrin maiden, but those who pierce it and look closely will see a woman cover in thorns and branches, teeth and nails made of bark, and her eyes ooze sap like tears. She is never encountered alone, and those within her woods tend to become loyal to her.

Selephra is another character from D&D that costs a lot of points. With all her powers she can be a true team wrecker with area attacks, reactions, free actions to get allies in place, plus linked damage, affliction and move object abilities. Definitely can be a fun master villain.

Design Notes
This is the Dragon of Tyr from D&D Fourth Edition. It appeared in the Dark Sun Creature Catalog. Offensively it is PL 15 due to it's Crippling Bite and Breath of Shredding Sand. Defensively it is PL 18 due to it's Dodge and Toughness. It was once a Sorcerer King which used a ritual that ripped the life from the citizens of Ebe. The ritual transformed the king into a dragon and he named the city he destroyed Ur Draxa, the City of Doom. The people of Athas only see the Dragon when it comes to collect from the other Sorcerer Kings. It takes multitudes of slaves which it either devours or gives them as gifts to Liches, lead by the eldest Lord Vizier, who serve it. The Dragon is fearless and confident it battle. The thought of losing a battle is preposterous in the Dragon's mind. Outside of the City of Doom the Dragon fights it's battles alone.
