Fight! Fight! Fight! (2e, yo)

Postby Insurgent Phoenix » Sat Nov 27, 2010 4:13 pm

Over the many years I've to the Think Tank, Roll Call has perpetually amazed me with the sheer diversity of builds herein. And a few days ago, I wondered: "What would a fight between Taliesin's rendition of Galactus and, say, Zeus from Joshua Dunlow's thread be like?"

Then I thought: "Screw that. Why not take vastly dissimilar characters from radically different settings and genres, but similar PL and PP, and have them beat the shit out of each other?"

And that's what I'm going to do here.

Coming up, in whatever order I feel like doing them:

Fight 1:
Lom Day Sea (created by dwellerofthedeep) vs The Gorgon (a Birthright NPC converted to 2e by Taliesin)!

Fight 2:
Gherim the Builder (created by Joshua Dunlow) vs The Invictus (created by Trystero_Yoyodyne)!

Fight 3:
Celestia (created by Joshua Dunlow) vs Ezron Grummus Cheldinine (created by dwellerofthedeep)!

Fight 4:
Astro Boy (converted by Joshua Dunlow) vs Gandalf the Grey (ALSO converted by Joshua Dunlow)!

Fight 5:
Gaea, Mother of Flesh (created by me, Insurgent Phoenix) vs Ms Marvel (converted by Joshua Dunlow)!

Fight 6:
Arca Hammerhell (created by dwellerofthedeep) AND Prisoner (the one with the funky head; created by dwellerofthedeep) vs Sei Dai (created by dwellerofthedeep) AND Richard Cypher, the True Seeker (converted by Joshua Dunlow)!

You know, it might be wise to get their blessing before you use their characters.

True enough but also a neat idea.

Ill give my permission for my builds to be used. Id love to see how some of them do.

In the swirling mists of the Farthest Place, Animak the Annihilator reclined on his throne of skulls and looked out at the multiversal destruction he had caused. The Nihil Crown was his, and now Animak's power was unchallenged. Those pestersome heroes, all dead; those meddling gods, bound as his puppets; even the hordes of the Outermost Void served Animak's every whim.

But....what now? Animak had won. NOTHING in his own dimension could threaten him now. And now....boredom was setting in. What to do? How should he pass the time? Thinking back over his 600+ year life, dread Animak fondly recalled his early days as a Zehel gladiator, and that's when the idea hit him.

Yes! YES! Animak would go to the Forever Well and call up Imago-duplicates of the greatest heroes and villains from across the omniverse, and he would set them to fighting for Animak's amusement! Of course, Imago-duplicates were not the real thing, and they could dismissed at will by he who conjured them...but they were EXACT copies, and thus they could amuse the Annihilator forever and ever.

Time to get to work....
