Charlie's got a lot of woppers coming her way

-Cassie is Raven
-Raven used Charlie's feelings to manipulate her
-Raven is trying to, in a round about way, hurt Wainwright
-Raven was, in fact, going out with Hardcore when/before/while she was going out with Charlie
-Trouble is actively a member of a mission against Project Freedom

So far the only NPC friends she has that arn't about to abuse her trust and make her miserable are her stealth cousins.

It's not easy being Charlie :~(

Real Name: Robert “Rob” Shaw
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 163 lbs.
Hair: Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Group Affiliation: The Horde

Complications:
Family Buisness: It was Faction’s idea for the brothers to become thieves, as a result he’s the one who does all the planning, adapts the plans as needed on the spot and keeps his younger brothers in line so they can enjoy the proceeds of their ill-gotten gains.

Family Life: Faction is the only member of the Horde that has a wife and kids. Though they have no idea what he really does as a job to support them (he’s told his wife that he’s a traveling salesman, though she is suspicious of this lie but hasn’t worked up the nerve to ask questions).

Background: Robert “Rob” Shaw is the eldest of triplets, though only by seconds, but he’s always been the leader of the brothers from a young age. He was the brains behind the scenes, using his ‘younger’ brother, Steve, as muscle in high school to bully other kids and take revenge on those he thought slighted him academically.

Like both his other brothers, Rob’s powers manifested while he was a teen and he secretly practiced with them until he had mastered them. When the triplets graduated from high school it was Rob’s idea for them to use their powers to support themselves in a life of crime as super thieves, using the sheer numbers their ability to duplicate themselves gave them as an advantage in case any hero might stumble across their crimes. Rob’s main motivation behind this was that he wanted to attend college and wasn’t able to qualify for any scholarships and was unable to come up with the needed funds any other way. He’d originally planned to only do robberies for a few years, once he’d graduated with his degree in chemistry, but by that point he’d grown to enjoy the lifestyle and sense of control he had over his siblings and found himself unable to walk away from that life.

At some point Rob met and eventually married a young woman that he fell in love with and like many young couples they had children early in their marriage (two boys, who are not twins); more motivation for Rob to continue his life of crime to support his family. His wife thinks that Rob is a chemist who travels around the country consulting on various projects but she’s started to become somewhat suspect of this story but hasn’t confronted Rob about it as she doesn‘t want to upset the balance of her family. Rob’s always been able to support them and is able to be involved with the boy’s lives. Pretty much the best father possible as well as being a good husband, she doesn’t want to chance losing that.

After several years of success the Horde, as the three brothers were named by the press, became the focus of the newly formed FORCE Ops in Freedom City. Ethan Keller’s information network had managed to finally track the triplets back to their hidden base in the old sewer system of Freedom City after almost a year’s worth of work and he sent the new team after the thieves.

What FORCE Ops found when they finally arrived on site was disturbing; someone had already beaten them there and dealt with the Horde. Dispensing a vicious beating to all three members, despite their ability to create more of themselves. Eventually it was learned that another criminal group, the Order of Chaos, had been hired by a local mob boss to take back items the Horde had stolen from his safety deposit box in their last robbery and to give them the message that nobody messes with him. In the end the Horde was taken into custody by AEGIS and were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries before going to Blackstone Prison to await their trial.

Real Name: Steven “Steve” Shaw
Height: 6‘ 3”
Weight: 240 lbs.
Hair: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Group Affiliation: The Horde

Complications:
Bully: Legion is your classic high school bully. He’ll make threats, insults, physically menace a person all with a smile on his face, he’s never grown past the point where treating people that way hasn’t made him feel good about himself.

Spend it quick: Legion likes to live the high life, the best clothes, cars, company to keep, goes to the best clubs. All of which costs money, and he’s not afraid to spend it so he’s always looking to make more as soon as possible.

Background: Steven “Steve” Shaw is the second oldest of triplets, but only by seconds, but he is physically the largest of the brothers. He always was the ‘muscle’ of the brothers, acting as enforcer for ‘oldest’ brother Rob and defender for ‘younger’ brother Matt, a role he found enjoyable as he seemed to possess a strength that was always greater than any other boy his age. Liking the feeling of power he gained from his antics as a teen, Steve went into law enforcement (enjoying being able to exert his personal power over those he dealt with).

He was only a few years into his career as a police officer when Rob gathered the three of them and shared his idea for the three of them to become thieves, using the powers they‘d manifested and kept secret as teens. Steve immediately agreed, liking the idea of having more money to spend that he didn’t have to earn himself, which was a large part of Rob’s plan; he needed Steve’s connections to the underworld to be able to sell the goods they stole as well as casing their future marks, as no one would suspect a local cop of being involved in such a venture.

But eventually Steve’s bad habits on the force resulted in his leaving the force under scrutiny for being ’on the take’ (which he was, but he was working with a local gang to protect their drug trade by busting their rivals). But he’d been smart enough to cover his tracks well enough that when Internal Affairs began to look into him, he was able to walk away with only a black mark against his name instead of charges being brought against him. That just left Steve with more time on his hands to devote to the ‘family business’ as it were. So when he’s not living the high life, he’s working to support that way living.

Real Name: Matt Shaw
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 150 lbs.
Hair: Reddish-Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Group Affiliation: The Horde

Complications:
Show-Off: Since Minion’s only power is his ability to create dupes of himself, he has trained in martial arts to be an equal threat like his brothers. He has a habit of showing off those skills during a fight, simply because he can.

Temper: Minion is well known for his inability to keep a cool head, he’ll get right in the face of someone who insults him and then quickly moves on to letting his hands do his talking for him.

Background: Matt Shaw is the youngest of triplets, but only by seconds, though he’s the smallest of the three physically which left him the victim of bullies despite his brother, Steve‘s, efforts to step in, Matt convinced their parents that a martial arts class would be a good thing for him and it was six months later when he dealt with one of his usual abusers that Matt made it clear he wasn‘t going to be their victim anymore.

Matt realized that he enjoyed be stronger than others despite his smaller stature and used his anger over how he had been treated to push himself, allowing him to advance in skill until he was kicked out of the local dojo years later by his teacher for bullying the other students. Matt had become like those he had sought to protect himself against; and it was around this time that the triplets’ powers first manifested. Matt was the only one who didn’t develop a secondary set of powers, though he felt that his martial skills more than made up for it.

A few years later, after the boys had graduated from high school his oldest brother, Rob, put forth the idea of the three of them becoming thieves. Matt was immediately interested, he didn’t like the idea of living a ’normal’ life; the idea of going to some nine-to-five job for a place he didn’t care about, doing work he could care less about didn’t sound all that interesting to him.

Eventually Rob came up with costumes for them and worked out their first robbery, which went well. Netting them several thousands of dollars in which they invested back into their new profession, setting up a place to ’work’ out of as well as funding their personal lives. And as time went on the brothers moved on to bigger robberies, the few times they would run across super heroes their ability to create duplicates of themselves that shared their powers and skills made them a small army (numbering in nine beings total) to deal with.

Background: Isabel Gregorovich was a little girl that grew up surrounded by magic, the only child of the great Magician Anton the Wise. Anton was a Vegas mainstay, working one stage or the other nearly seven days a week and Isabel was always by his side. She was raised behind the curtain and wanted nothing more in life then to be on that stage herself performing and amazing the revered audience. Sadly Anton was more than a little old fashioned and refused to teach Isabel even the simplest of illusion.

Isabel was forced to teach herself behind her father’s back, she learned what she could by watching him perform but she also taught herself from books and manuals. Things went like that for years until Anton finally took on an apprentice named Carmine Bloom also known as Magus the Great. Isabel was only 13 when Magus joined them but she saw in him an opportunity. Anton would teach Magus while in return Magus helped to build the illusions and develop new ones. It was easy work for Isabel to ingratiate herself to Magus, playing the role of little sister, and learn Anton’s secrets from him as they practiced together.

Magus was brilliant and it didn’t take long for Isabel to figure that out, his imagination and intelligence quickly took Anton’s act to the next level. Magus resented that he was jealous of the attention that Anton was receiving using the illusions that he had developed over the five years that they were together. The last straw in their relationship was the arrival of a new apprentice, Johnny Decker also known as The Amazing Decker. Magus left Anton’s shadow and stuck out on his own before he left though he gifted a watch to Isabel that he had designed for a Hypnotism trick.

Decker wasn’t half the magician that Magus was and in Isabel’s opinion nowhere near her level of talent either. She very quickly had the poor boy wrapped around her little finger and when her father finally retired and gifted all his illusions to the Amazing Decker Isabel had set herself up as the real force behind the show. She took the role of his assistant but she did the heavy lifting in their magic show, they left Vegas and went on tour.

Isabel began developing illusions of her own, using them to add to the prestige of Decker’s stage show. To supplement their income she also started to run cons in the cities they set up in, her crimes becoming larger and larger over time and no one was ever the wiser until they came to Freedom City.

It was the most ambitious con she had ever run. She hypnotized a series of well off couples, who visited the Theater District, and forced them to burglarize themselves. She did this for nearly a month until their show finally attracted the attention of Lt. Martin Taylor of the Freedom City Police Department. He connected the dots and began investigating their show, Decker’s connection to Magus who went on to be known as the villainous Magician to the FCPD meant that the connection was easily made.

Her plan was to hypnotize Taylor, or whichever cop came calling, and force him to rob one of Big Al Driagano’s lieutenants. What she didn’t anticipate was that Taylor would bring along Susan West, also known as Dovetail the field leader of Force Ops. She ran with it though, she hypnotized Susan and sent her off like a guided missile. While she had planned for Taylor to be killed and the police to lock up the gangsters and confiscate cash, she was going to call in a tip, she recognized Susan right away. Susan didn’t fail. She was able to steal the money and get away clean even though she regained control of herself during the escape. After turning in the money to the authorities Susan returned to the show and after a minor scuffle captured Isabel.

Isabel easily escaped from her cell and after breaking into the evidence room and liberating $178,000 of Driogano’s money she slipped away into the night.

OOC wrote:ClassDunce, a player in a couple of my games, came up with this awesome story for Dovetail (his character in my FORCE Ops game) in the Story Hour which is totally worth the read, so go check it out! Isabel is the mastermind villain behind it all and I felt that I just had to include her here as an official entry in my FC setting. So here she is in all her glory, I may just have to have her make a ‘comeback' in the game at some point.

She‘s just that cool.

I really like this build and I was wondering is Hypnosis a custom made power or does it come from another manual?

Thanks

Real Name: Therri Cozzolino
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 147 lbs
Hair: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Group Affiliation: The Order of Chaos

Background; Therri Cozzolino was the second oldest of four sons born to Maria Cozzolino, she died during the birth of her fourth son, Giauseppi, and her sister, Leona Caspian, took the boys in and tried to raise them along with her own boys. Unfortunately Leona couldn’t keep up with the six boys and often times the boys found themselves unattended and Therri took advantage of those times; manipulating them to his whim. Because of his success at coercing his brothers and cousins, Therri felt that he would be a natural leader and took an early interest in politics.

While he was in high school, Therri was suspected of being the leader of a local gang though it was never proven and despite the rumors he held a high academic standard and graduated with honors. At the same time Therri worked with his brothers and cousins to form one of the most talented gymnastic teams in the area, they called themselves the Flying Cozzolinos and were respected and well known for their skills.

When Therri left school he set out to make himself into a man to be recognized, he climbed the ladder of a small New York corporation. At the same time he was becoming politically active and popular through his charitable contributions and community service which eventually allowed him to win a seat on the Council of New York City. Three years later after Therri’s venturing into the world of politics his brother, Luigi Cozzolino, was revealed as the villain Nightwrath. Authorities suspected all four of the Cozzolino brothers to be working together in some way in the underworld but couldn‘t come up with any concrete proof. It wasn’t until two years later that an AEGIS team, who’d been assigned to track Nightwrath, uncovered a connection between two of the four brothers; Therri using his connections in politics to help Luigi get work. Having to abandon his career to avoid being arrested Therri easily made the transition to super villain, taking the name Blackfire (based on the effects of the magical sword he used) and leading both his brothers and two cousins as the super villain team called the Order of Chaos.

What isn’t known by most people is that Therri had become a member of the Brimstone House during his time in city government and had worked his way to a mid-ranking member in his chapter. Enough so that he earned the privilege to carry the Blade of Ebon Flames, a mystic weapon that had been in the House’s possession for several decades. Using the abilities it granted him, Therri was able to further his career as well as help his brother somewhat in his life of crime before convincing his family to form their own villainous team. For several years the Order was able to operate across the United States, pulling robberies and crimes that paid the members well and left them with little to want in life. Granted over those years different members would get themselves captured and would spend some time in jail but Therri had contacts that could forge the papers needed to create cover identities for them all and eventually the Order would free it’s imprisoned members.

Recently the Order of Chaos was hired by Giovanni “Johnny” Oliverti to recover an heirloom his father left to him; a man’s diamond ring, that had been stolen by the super-thieves the Horde. The Order was also supposed to ‘teach the Horde a lesson’ for stealing from one of the higher ups in the Freedom City Mob, a job the Order preformed with ease. They left the Horde with serious injuries that would require a long period of hospitalization to recover from but the newly formed FORCE Ops team managed to track down where the Order was hiding out confront them. After a drawn out fight FORCE Ops managed to defeat the Order and turned them over to AEGIS, though Blackfire has managed to work out the beginnings of a deal with the DA for information about certain contacts in the underworld so when and if the Order of Chaos will be seen next isn’t clear.

Excuse me, but, I think there's a spelling error here. Shouldn't it be: Order of Cats? :P

Nope. It's not my fault K-9 can't spell correctly.

At this rate though I am tempted to create the Feline Force just to give him a group of pesky cats to have to deal with.....

But credit to you HH, you do manage to pull it off well. I've always enjoyed K-9's posts; the simplistic view he has of things combined with his not-full-understanding of human interactions & intentions and his trying to compare them to his understanding of things (a real dog's eye view) make for great posts IMO.

I find myself laughing fairly often at many of K-9's non-combat realted posts.

Yeah, now he just needs to find his very own Beverly (from Howard the Duck) or Abigail Arcane (Swamp Thing), so he can get his monster-human love affair groove on.
