Real Name: Erik Moore
Height: 5’ 10”
Weight: 178 lbs
Hair: Black with red streaks
Eye Color: Brown

Complications:
Responsibility ~Family: Erik’s brother, Rick, is his only remaining family and Erik makes sure that Rick takes time away from the labs and tries to relax a bit and enjoy life as well as make sure he eats regular as well (as Rick tends to forget as he gets wrapped up in his work).

Responsibility ~Business: Thanks to his work in the world of extreme sports Erik has a small business to run that he must deal with from time to time (meetings with sponsors, public appearances and such).

Thrills: Erik is always looking for some new trick to pull, place to skate before anyone else, break some record somehow. He loves the rush he gets taking chances.

Background: In his early teen years Erik Moore became one of the more well known skateboarding celebrities who was part of the X-Games and other extreme sport channels. Thanks to the investment talents of his father, Erik was able to maintain a good portion of the money he made and increase it considerably. Meanwhile his younger brother, Rick, was starting to become recognized as a gifted genius who was able to go to some of the best schools, mostly thanks to the money Erik was bringing in. Their life was one of upper-middle class, wanting for nothing and having several of the extras in life that made it very enjoyable.

That came to an end when Erik and Rick’s parents were killed in a car crash, though thanks to Erik’s lawyer and his financial situation he was able to get himself declared an emancipated minor at seventeen and took custody of his brother. Though they missed their parents deeply the boys were able to move on with their lives; Erik continuing his skateboarding career and Rick focusing on his studies at MIT. A couple years later Rick graduated with another degree in his third scientific field and decided to take a break from school for a couple years. Erik decided to add on a full sized lab to his home for his brother to work out of as the mood struck him.

Their lives would have continued on in this manner, with Rick usually holed up in his lab and Erik working his mini skate park to keep in shape for his next show when life threw them another curve. At one of Erik’s skate demos a small group of bank robbers tried escaping from the police by cutting through the series of ramps and rails the skaters were using when Erik, using the only thing he had on hand (his skateboard), stopped a pair of them coming off the ramp and on top of them then chasing after the remaining thieves on his own.

For his efforts Erik was praised by local police as well as his fans, given several accommodations by the city for what he did. During all the interviews on the talk shows, radio shows, press conferences Erik realized that he’d felt a thrill like no other he’d experienced. Soon he was talking with Rick about possible ways to build a hi-tech version of a skateboard as well as a couple other items he thought might be useful in what he was planning to do. For his part, Rick was intrigued by the idea of pushing the boundaries of several areas of science and agreed to work something up for some testing. After months of trials and errors Rick was able to develop a working overboard that Erik started training with as well as developing several gadgets, including a set of sunglasses that held several optic enhancements and miniaturization of common items used everyday.

Almost a full year later Erik has mastered the McFly, as he’d named the hoverboard, even though it had to be repaired or rebuilt a couple of times as well as becoming competent with a couple other items Rick had worked up over that time. Soon Erik was out on the city streets, pursuing his new passion: fighting crime. Though Erik hadn’t thought it all out, he never bothered to wear a mask of any kind, becoming a public hero which has helped to increase his personal celebrity status as a result.

Currently Erik, calling himself Flipkick after the first trick he’d done on the McFly (at a few miles above the city no less), now splits his time between skate shows for his sponsors and fighting crime in Bay City where he and Rick have recently moved. He’s making something of a name for himself among the teenage crowd and has even worked with Johnny Rocket a time or two as well, who thinks Erik has some decent potential and has spent some time helping him to learn the ropes so to speak in the hero business.

I knew it was DMAC's artwork but I can't remember who had posted it. I dodn't recall seeing this piece of art in DMAC's art thread, it had been in the Roll Call I know but I can't recall whose thread.

But I totally agree that DMAC's work is all kinds of awesome, I've even had him do a piece for me.

Oh why do I have the sinking feeling that Blight will eventually come after Joan...

Probably because he hunts for magic knowledge and magi-tech which is all Joan is about... lol

 Connor Hawke got a huge push in his early days as an almost world-class martial artist in the DC worlds. He's even managed to mostly hold his own against the likes of Lady Shiva, who's mostly shown as one of the best in DC without a doubt.

 Add in the fact that Connor has world-class archery skills to boot and he is a well rounded threat overall. Able to hit from a distance and up close. Though he's still mostly stuck to dealing with mostly peak human level foes. but he's still able to hold his own against most foes, even the ones with powers. Now I know that there have been some serious changes in Connor's life lately but I've not seen any of it so I kept this build based more on what I had read, so it's more of an old-skool build than current.

 A long standing member of the DC Martial Art community, Bronze Tiger is a guy I like alot. He's a serious threat to people like Batman (though if pressed he'd get beat. COME ON!! He's Batman!!)

 Bronze Tiger has been a long standing member of several versions of the Suicide Squad and it fits him well I think. Bronze Tiger's connection to Richard Dragon and Lady Shiva give him loads of character background in a martial theme as well. Then toss in his working with Amanda Waller and Bronze Tiger and guys like Deadshot from back in the early days of the Suicide Squad and Bronze Tiger knows loads of people in the hero community.

 I did give him a unique attack, the Tiger's Claw, only because of his long standing as a skilled martial artist and I felt that he's deserving of it. He's trained with Richard Dragon and Lady Shiva so it's not like he hasn't had time to develop something unique to his style like they have done. And speaking of that Bronze Tiger comes across as an agressive fighter favoring in your face fighting that is filled with lots of attacks that target softer areas on the body so I made it a point to give him the Veteran Figher feat that allows him to toss in a couple different attacks in a fight. He's kind of like a brawler stlye of fighter as well despite his years of training and he's made it work for him and given his sometimes habit of getting highly p.o.ed I tossed in the Rage feat too.

 A minor Catwoman foe, Hellhound came from her reworked past as a rival student who didn’t like how she became so close to the master and he worked to get rid of her. After she became Catwoman, he figured out who she was and followed in her steps becoming a costumed criminal. All in what’s a case of “teacher always liked you better!” syndrome he spent years getting himself ready to go after her. Catwoman ended up beating the snot outta him anyways with her usual style and since I’ve not really seen anything from Hellhound but I like the idea of him floating around the fringe of the super-hero scene as a merc or ninja for hire.

 Overall Hellhound is your basic martial artist, but he seemed to focus on being able to take a hit and keep going. Lots of endurance kinda thing to me, plus I’ve not really seen a ninja with some trained attack dogs. That’s cool to me, even though they’re basically the standard dog from the M&M 2E book but still he can use them to run a hero down like a hunted animal. I mean three dogs and a ninja coming at you is nothing to take too lightly IMO.

 Basically we have this guy to thank for all the crazy, kung-fu action comics in the 70s. Richard Dragon has been around in the background of several books over the years as one of the best martial artists in the world. He’s trained Lady Shiva, Bronze Tiger, Vic Sage, Huntress just to name a few and I’m sure I’m missing a couple others off the top of my head. Either way though his name is always tossed into the conversation about best fighters known. It’s actually a question if he’s able to beat Lady Shiva but she’s not really tried to chase him down for a fight in a long time so it’s up in the air as to who would really win and I have to admit that it’d probably be a very close fight that came down to which character the dice would favor that day.

 Richard hasn’t really shown any mystical skills that I know of, but his pure skill in all things martial is awesome. He’s kind of reached the point where he’s into figuring out his place in the scheme of life more or less, having withdrawn from the major activities of the world while he meditates on his life. He’s trained several people who have been able to locate him and while he’s a harsh master, he does make serious efforts to keep his students humble and teach them wisdom to go along with their new skills so that they will use them for the general good of all. He doesn’t want to be responsible for another Lady Shiva.

 Probably the most well-known martial artist for Marvel Comics, Shang-Chi. Simply said he’s Marvel’s answer to Bruce Lee, plus I swear they even try to make Shang kinda look like him to boot.

 He’s spent pretty much the majority of his adult life fighting against his father’s (Fu Manchu) organization in it’s attempts to take over the world in what he called “Games of Death & Deceit”. He’s retired a few times from the world of super-spies only to get drawn back into it when things look really bad.

 His skills and mentality make him pretty much able to hold his own with the likes of the X-Men with ease (no small task I’d say) and he’s easily able to hold off the armies of mooks that most Masterminds tend to favor having.

 I’ve not read any of his series, just the wikis mostly, but I’ve seen some of his guest appearances over the years and he tends to outshine most everyone he’s working with by way of his simple demeanor self-assuredness he has from knowing that he could probably own half the world if he put his mind to it. Good thing he’d rather follow the higher path in life and help out instead.

I always liked Connor Hawke, he and Kyle Rayner had pretty good chemistry whenever they hung out. I never did really get the love for Bronze Tiger though.

 This version of the Steel Serpent is more from the mid to late 90s when he was used a few times in a couple of Iron Fist’s solo stories.

 Basically at that point in time Steel Serpent can pretty much hold his own against Iron Fist in a fight. The main difference is that of Iron Fist’s iron fist technique being more powerful than Steel Serpent’s serpent’s strike. Steel Serpent is the guy who will take advantage of any kind of terrain modifiers that he can, even if he has to make them on his own by setting up where the fight will take place.

 Steel Serpent’s main threat to Iron Fist comes down to Steel Serpent’s better knowledge of K”un Lun lore and rituals let him actually be able to seal the iron fist technique though he normally engages in a series of mind games that leave Danny even more vulnerable to his plans to steal it. In that regard Steel Serpent is something like a Mastermind since he’s more than willing set down a serious amount of planning that takes several months to accomplish by using mooks & proxy foes he’ll set against Iron Fist.

Bronze Tiger was pretty awesome in the Sucide Squad, he was the moral compass of the team. He dealt with Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Rick Flag as well as Waller and managed to hold his own for the most part (be it verbally keeping Boomerang in check, keeping Deadshot from getting himself killed in action, Flag's depression or managing to successfully argue his point with Waller [no small feat there]).

He's not really been seen since in any other series that I'm aware of, kind of a shame really cause with a good writer Bronze Tiger could carry his own series IMO. He's got the chops for it.

 Pretty much the best known Martial Artist DC has, Lady Shiva is a nightmare to deal with even if your hero has powers. Given that she mostly deals with costumed adventures mostly and she is a terror almost.

 Tough as nails and twice as deadly she’s set the mold for ninja-girls everywhere to follow. Shiva will not shy away from fights and is so willing to use lethal attacks that most fighters know that facing her is like going to the gallows. Heck from what I heard even Tim Drake took some “precautions” when he knew she was coming after him to make sure he could win.

 Course now she’ll probably make him one of her top targets since Shiva never forgets a loss and holds a grudge but that’s for another time.

 I’m with the majority on this one though, Shiva is one of the top tier fighters and most others should be compared to her to gauge themselves. She’s just that good, plain and simple.

 And now a few people of questionable moral value, cause the good guys need someone to fight.

 A Greek assassin, Constantine Drakon is one of the better melee fighters I've read about in a long while. While he's really good at melee fighting I didn't see too much of him using ranged but I kept it fairly high just to keep well rounded.

 I've only seen a couple of Drakon's appearances but boy is he a helleva good fighter. He has totally owned Arsenal back in his Outsiders time and took him hostage with little trouble and that's something cause I don't really see Roy as a pushover but Drakon really made him look helpless.

 I didn't really give Drakon any weapons or equipment mostly because it seeems that his use of them depends more on what his job is going to be. So there is a little room for adding on but overal his build is fairly dead on I think.

 Besides Drakon is kinda like Iron Fist, at least in the shoe choice department. I mean how are you gonna take a man in sandles as a serious threat? At least it's not ballet shoes.
