BACKGROUND
Bill Norris was a student at the Sorbonne in Paris when WWII broke out. Never believing that France could fall Bill continued his studies until the day he stood watching in shock with the rest of Paris as the Nazi's marched through the streets. Resolving to try and sneak away and make his way to safety Bill couldn't help trying to defend an old man been beaten by a couple of soldiers and ended up in a prisoner camp.

In the camp Bill encountered his landlord whom had disappeared several weeks earlier and together the two of them were able to escape the camp and join a local resistance group. Wanting to fight back Bill fashioned a costume and calling himself the Grim Reaper threw himself into the resistance movement, somehow he managed to survive and eventually became one of the most wanted men on the Gestapo's wanted list.

It was during the later years of the war that Bill joined up with some of the members of SMASH as they joined the front lines in Europe and the Pacific. After the was had ended Bill returned to the USA and became a full time member of SMASH fighting supervillains and crime. Bill's passion was organised crime and he was even more feared than he was during the war.

Along with the other members of SMASH Bill was frozen in suspended animation in 1969 and only recently revived. He has found it the easiest to adjust to the modern world as criminals are still the same.

COMMENTS
The Grim Reaper is another Nedor Comics character that first appeared in Fighting Yank #7, February 1944 and made his way into the Public Domain where he was picked up by Americas Best Comics. The only change to his character was that his sword could fire electrical blasts.

BACKGROUND
Gwenny Lou Sabuki was a Japanese-American citizen who like all Japanese-Americans was rounded up during WW2 and placed inside a relocation camp with her father Dr Sam Sabuki. They were rescued from the camp by Agent Axis, a superpowered operative for the Axis powers. Agent Axis wanted to use Dr Sabuki's skills to try and restore his original body and brought Gwenny along to ensure the Doctors cooperation.

Once the machine was built, Gwenny was abandoned as Agent Axis took the machine and her father down to the waterfront to make his escape. Managing to get free Gwenny made her way towards the waterfront where she encountered one of her few friends Davey Mitchell and together they bumped into Bucky Barnes and Torto who were investigating the sightings of Agent Axis. After explaining what had happen and making them promise to rescue her father Gwenny and Davey ignored their instructions to stay put and came upon a battle between Bucky, Toro & Agent Axis. Sneaking onto the boat to free her father both Gwenny and Davey were bathed in a strange glow when Dr Sabuki's machine exploded after a stray firebolt from Toro giving them superhuman powers.

Gwenny Lou (Golden Girl) gained the power to generate light and energy and project golden force beams from her hands, while Mitchell (Human Top) gained the ability to spin at superhuman speeds The four youthful heroes defeated Agent Axis, and later formed the Kid Commandos, who were allied with the adult Invaders team.

Gwenny Lou later helped found the post-war version of the British superhero team the V-Battalion, leading it for a number of years. Both her daughter and her granddaughter became superheroines as well (Golden Sun and Goldfire).

COMMENTS
Gwenny Lou made her first appearance in the Invaders series in March 1978 and gained her powers in the following issue. I made her a very simple Light Controller but if you wanted to make her more versatile you could add several more APs such as Illusion or Create Light Objects.

Very interesting characters. A lot of them are Golden Age heroes who have somehow been brought to the 21st century, the Modern Age of Superheroes.

Thanks SCKnight I am glad that you are enjoying them, I came across the SMASH heroes on one of the wikis and they were a bit different than your more well known Golden Agers.

I have a few more Golden Age heroes to stat up and then I am hoping to work on some more villains.

BACKGROUND
Davy Mitchell was very good friends with Gwenny Lou Sabuki and was upset when she and her father were sent to a relocation camp. Expecting never to see her again Davy was very surprised to bump into her on the street where she told him an unbelievable story of been kidnapped by a German supersoldier. Agreeing to help her Davy and Gwenny headed towards the waterfront when they encountered Bucky and Toro whom Gwenny convinced to help her.

After arriving at the waterfront both Davy and Gwenny were bathed in strange energy when one of Gwenny's fathers machines exploded. Davy discovered that he could know spin and move at superhuman speed while Gwenny had power over light, joining forces with Bucky and Toro the four teens were able to defeat Agent Axis.

Deciding to remain as a team the four teens called themselves the Kid Commandos and fought alongside the Invaders team through the rest of WWII. Davy was then offered a postion on the V-battalion when they reformed after the end of WWII and he served as a field operative for some time and then as a member of the Penance Council until he let his son take over his postion. Following the death of his son, David's grandson, Darren took his place. Since then David has served as a father figure to his grandson and as desk worker for the V-battalion at their home base.

BACKGROUND
Carol Vance was orphaned by a huge forest fire but was spared when a being calling himself the God of Fire gave her power over flame as she had showed no fear of the flames. Carol was later adopted by the wealthy Martin family, and grew into a beautiful young woman. One day feeling an urge that there was another forest fire Carol flew to where she felt the fire was and was able to control it.

Later the teenage super heroine decided to use her powers to combat not only criminals, but also saboteurs and even supernatural menaces.

COMMENTS
Wildfire is another Public Domain superhero and made her first appearance in Smash Comics #25 (1941) which was published by Quality Comics.

Wildfire is an accomplished fire controller and often enters combat using weapons made out of flame such as a whip or hand-axe.

From what I've seen, both princesses have the ability to walk on clouds. Not sure how that translates into game terms though. Twilight Sparkle and the princesses have the ability to use telekinesis too. And of course, they seem to use their horns as weapons, in addition to their hooves.

Also, not sure about Princess Celestia's ability to raise the sun, and Princess Luna's ability to raise the moon and stars in game terms. Princess Celestia has a blast ability, able to fire a beam of solar energy from her horn in one episode. I'm guessing that Princess Luna has the same ability, but her beam is made out of moon/lunar energy instead. I don't recall Twilight Sparkle firing a beam of magical energy, but she might be able to that I'm unaware of.

As for power levels, Twilight Sparkle should be a power level 10. Celestia should be power level...um...15 I guess, while Princess Luna is power level 13.

COMPLICATIONS
BOOKWORM - Twilight is a bookworm and always has her head in a book. When she held her first slumber party she employs an instructional book, "Slumber 101: All You've Ever Wanted to Know About Slumber Parties But Were Afraid to Ask", and consults it throughout the night. When the storm outside topples a tree through her bedroom window, she is at a loss for handling the situation and keeps searching her book for answers.
SKEPTICISM - Twilight is dismissive of what she considers superstition and requires hard evidence before she will change her mind or accept it.
NO HANDS - Ponies have no hands, although Twilight can manage very well with her powers.
DETAIL PONY - Twilight is very meticulous in planning and details and can fall to pieces if something unexpected happens. However for such an organised pony Twilight often has difficulties finding the right book.
BACKFIRE - Sometimes Twilight's spells don't have the intended effect.

BACKGROUND
Twilight Sparkle is a unicorn pony who is an apprentice of Princess Celestia. She lived in Canterlot where she studied under the Princess' tutelage, but moved to Ponyville where she now works as a librarian and continues her studies. Twilight regularly maintains correspondence with her mentor through the use of letters. She lives at the town's library along with her young dragon assistant Spike and owl pet, Owloysius. Twilight is Shining Armor's younger sister and is a sister-in-law to Princess Cadance.

Dutiful and intelligent, Twilight Sparkle is obsessed with one thing: studying magic! She once studied so much, she made no time for anypony else. That is until her mentor, Princess Celestia charged her with a special kind of magic--- friendship! Newly converted to the joys of friends, she uses her knowledge and unusually powerful gift for magical spells to help her companions in Ponyville. Though sometimes she gets on her "high horse" about what's right or wrong, her eagerness to learn and lend a helpful hoof endear her to her new friends in Ponyville, and when the going gets tough, her big brain and love for her friends transform into a natural born leader! Excellent work on Twilight Sparkle! Maybe after the two princesses I might get you to do one of the villains from the show, Discord, who was voiced by the actor who played Q from Star Trek The Next Generation.
