The Doctor's Original Builds (2E mostly): X-Classmates

Postby 9thDoctor » Mon Apr 11, 2011 11:22 am

After spending a lot of time building and having fun I decided that my Roll Call needed a facelift. Since I started to create a few more conversions than is typical for me, I split that part into a new thread. So here are just my original builds. Nothing more, nothing less.
Also I intend to convert all old builds to my new format with a split Build and background post, as well as 2 images to show how the characters look.

And of course the builds that take part in my campaigns.

So have fun browsing the content.

 Issue: Her identity is known to some politicians and police officials only. So far the media is content with the mystery heroine, but some paparazzi start to probe and dig.
Her main issue is that, while she is a follower of the SPÖ - the social-democratic party, the politics of austria are dominated by the very conservative ÖVP and the right-wing FPÖ and BZÖ. Fortunately the SPÖ is currently the reigning party. To strengthen their goals they have applied Danube to the EMDI.

Danube
Silke Heinrichs

Austria

Silke was an art student in Vienna before the accident that changed her life. Her parents (the father a common policeman in Graz and the mother being a full-time mother) couldn't afford much, but brought her up believing in justice, honour and compassion. They tolerated and supported Silke's interest in art, specifically painting. So she was allowed to study her subject of interest. And she did in the most prestigious art college Austria had to offer, the academy of fine arts Vienna.
She was like many other students, living on a small student loan and an allowance from her parents as well any money she could scrape together by several small-time jobs. But she did good.
The teachers recognized both her talent and her dedication and she was sponsored (along some other art students) to exhibit some of her works at a well known gallery in town.
Silke was overwhelmed by the prospeect this held. The night before the exhibition's opening she was very nervous and couldn't sleep. To calm herself she went down to the gallery to see the paintings through the window.
She was shocked as she noticed some lights moving in the showroom. She stalked to the backdoor, only to find it unlocked. She stealthily sneaked inside and then she saw the gallery owner talking to a stranger in arabic garments.
Obviously they were having a business dispute, but the subject of the business deal was Albrecht Dürer's "Feldhase" (engl. rabbit), a painting recently stolen from the Albertina.
She tried to sneak out and call the police when she tripped over a chair. The noise alerted the two men to her presence. They caught her quickly.
To silence her, Jakob Modl, the gallery owner, drugged her with a narcotic and then had his goons throw her into the Danube, a weight bound to her feet. But as they did that, something happened.
Under the cold waters of the mighty river, Silke didn't die. The stress of nearly drowning awakened a latent mutant ability in her and she turned to water. Then she emerged from the river and dealt with the two goons that tried to kill her. After she handed the subdued thugs over to the authorities, she led the police to the gallery. But it was too late, Modl and his customer had escaped. The police found enough evidence as well as many other famous stolen paintings in a backroom though.
Since that day, Vienna had known a new hero, the beautiful and sparkling Danube.

Power Concept: Alternate Form (Water) with many of the correspondent powers (Blast, Suffocate etc.)

Nationality: Austrian

This concept is my try to get into SpicyMcHaggis' EMDI game, a game about an european super-team.
After my first (and as I realized bad) suggestion of Blaidd Drwg I thought about another character. As I always was a fan of liquid body heroes (T 1000, Stan Lee's Aquaman, Hydro etc.) this concept was not hard to choose. But her nationality was. We already had a great dutch entry so the country with the closest link to water (character name then would have been Tide) was a no go area. As I thought of other european countries with a famed body of water I came upon the Danubian monarchy as the kingdom of Austria/Hungary was once called. The rest was easy.

Brickstone
Pete Jefferson

What can you say about being born in the worst neighbourhood of Freedom City? Either you are tough enough to survive or you become a wreck. Pete not only survived, he came out quite near the top. The second son of a family of eight, he came in touch with crime very early in his youth, at age 6 to be exact.
His older brother, Jerome, employed him to play on the streets in front of buildings he and his crew were about to rob. If someone would come, Pete had to give a sign.
It worked well all the time. Who would expect a six years old boy to be the lookout for some criminals?
From being a lookout to actually committing crimes himself wasn’t a big step for Pete. He got his first charge for repeated shoplifting at age 8, was reprimanded at school for violence several times and such.
He grew in fact into being a school bully….correct, into THE school bully. He always was a big kid, but he grew and got heavier each year. At 12 he could take on 16 yeear olds physically and still grew.
It was not long till Pete did his first time in Juvie. When he came out after 6 month, he was changed. He had worked out a lot and was now a hulking boy with muscles like steel (but he was still normal).
Jerome was his idol, since the older brother was what Pete was not. Smart. So when Jerome finished High School and professionalized his drug business (in which he dabbled for a few years now), he asked his brother to help as muscle. Pete was 14 years old, 6’1’’ and weighing almost 220 pounds.
Thus a winning combination was born. Soon Jerome’s crew controlled the drug trade in several other blocks, besides their own. He was smart enough to stick to the low-level street trafficking, not to piss on anyone’s legs. This successful operation went well for 3 years, growing and growing.
But Jerome still had ambition. He set his eye on the middleman spot, where he would actually deliver the drugs to the streetdealers. He collected evidence against his supplier, Anthony Penotti, as well as planting evidence of Penotti embezzling money from his superiors. Once he had enough, he made his move. He simultaneously tipped off the FCPD and Penotti’s boss, Giorgio “the Hammer” Brenzani. The results came quick. As he found himself harassed by the police as well as having a suspicious boss in his neck, Penotti went to the DA to cut a deal.
That was the moment Jerome had waited for. He ordered Pete to take care of Penotti.
This was the first instance that Pete questioned his brother’s actions for himself, but as Jerome was the older brother and was way smarter than Pete, the bully obeyed.
He followed Penotti and chased him till, at the end, he cornered him on the roof of the Esplanade Mall. Frightened Penotti retreated from the thug he had heard many stories of. Then suddenly he slipped and fell. Pete lunged forward and caught Penotti by his sleeve. Slowly he began to lift the Mafiosi up, the one he was sent to kill. But then the jacket, being of inferior quality, ripped and Penotti fell to his death.
This evening Jerome gratulated his younger brother on his “kill”, Pete felt very uncomfortable.
Of course Jerome got his position and was very successful in his new career too. He would have made an excellent businessman if he would have started legal business. Of course he invested legally, but the main income was by drugs. And he was relatively secure.
Thus they settled and all went well for 4 years. Maybe too well. Then the one thing came on the stage that could separate the two brothers, a woman. Her name was Martha Knelles, but everyone knew her as Maxine, one of the many prostitutes working for Jerome. She befriended Pete on the many occasions he acted as a bodyguard for her or the other girls. In fact, Pete actually became smitten with her. She was the first that saw through the thug’s hard outer shell and saw the big, golden heart he had. But she feared what would become of him if he would stay in Jerome’s service. She saw what the increasing number of extortion orders and planned assaults did to Pete’s conscience. And she also knew that he would never betray his brother.
So she talked to Jerome and offered him 30.000 $ (all she had plus a large amount she had to pay off) if he would let his brother go.
Jerome was shocked. How dared this woman. He took the deal but planned for her death.
This evening Maxine and Pete were in total bliss. They planned on leaving the city and to start a new life somewhere.
The next morning, Pete was packing his stuff at home, someone knocked at Maxine’s appartement. It was Jerome. He claimed to want only to talk, but as Maxine let him in and walked in front of him, he grabbed her. He knocked her unconscious and raped her, after that he gave her an overdose of heroine.
Pete came back, long after his brother was gone, only to find his girl…dead.
He was shocked. Then he called 911.
The cops searched the appartement casually, after all, it was a dead prostitute, nothing more. But then they stumbled upon a hidden camera linked to a recorder in the neighbouring room. The video was not very good. You could not see the attacking man’s face, but Pete recognised him anyway. A short moment he was torn between his loyalty to his brother and his grief for Maxine….then he told the police all he knew.
With his testimony the police was able to bust the whole operation of Jerome’s crew.
But what became of Pete? A short while after the trial he sunk into a depression. He drank, a lot. But then he witnessed two young gangers cornering a young Hispanic woman in an alley and it reminded him of Maxine. The youngsters were no match for him. As the young woman ran away a strange armoured figure approached Pete. He has seen the ex-criminals action and was convinced that Pete was a good man at heart. Thus the former gang bruiser became empowered.

Pete is 7'1'' tall and weighs about 2 tons. He looks much like this here, but his skin tone is a bit darker.

Well what about to say about him? It is clear that he is a super powered Skinny Pete from "The Italian Job". His background is influenced to a great part by "New Jack City"...so I admit on being a copycat, hehe. After all, better to steal a good idea than have a bad one on your own.
Brickstone was then a bit tweaked to be my submission to Millenium's Neoverse, but the reason why he isn't anymore .....well, I had a better idea, this time on my own. See next build.

 The Superdoc is here: Since her identity is no real secret, people expect her to be able to cure everything. This expectation is hard to destroy and Sarah hates it to tell relatives of the fate of her patients. Sometimes these relatives blame her more than before the empowerment, she’s a Super after all.
 Terminal illness: Sarah knows that her days are counted. She is carrier of the gene marker for Huntington’s disease. It is only a matter of time. What she doesn’t know is that the empowerment cured her of that and she has not checked her blood recently.
 My Sister! Sarah has a very close bond to her twin sister and vice versa. If someone would threaten Rebecca...well, even I as the player don't know what Sarah might be capable of doing then.

Code Blue
Sarah Carlsen
Image
Description:
5'3'' tall, 89lbs
She is of mixed ethnicity. While her father's parents (and thus Glen too) have been afro-american, her mother's father was Puerto Rican and the mother was from Israel. She and Rebecca both show a much lighter skin tone than their father.
Sarah and Rebecca are both raised as Jews, though Sarah considers herself agnostic 90% of her time. Rebecca is a secular Jew. While believing in the religion and obeying some rules, she does not belong to a synagogue.

Sarah was born in Harlem, NY to Glen and Phyllis Carlsen. It was a twin birth and thus very taxing to the mother. But after 23 hours of labour it was done. Glen and Phyllis were the proudest parents on the world, parents to Sarah and Rebecca the loveliest babies in the world (according to the parents).
Glen had a decent paying job as security employee in a downtown office building. The family, while not living in luxury, had not to scrape for every dime so the early life for the two girls was pleasant. Their parents loved them and they had nice friends.
It happened when Sarah and Rebecca were 7 years old that Phyllis went with them to the supermarket to get some meat for dinner. It was an unfortunate day for her.
The market was robbed and one of the thieves shot Phyllis with a shotgun. She died in the ambulance en route to the Hospital, in front of the eyes of her kids. The grief was great in the Carlsen household. Glen worked halftime for a year to take care of his daughters, but then the financial situation demanded him to work full time again. He explained it to his daughters and they said that he did not need to worry; they could take care of themselves.
And they did. They did the laundry; they cooked (abysmal at first but getting better soon) and cleaned the apartment. And most importantly, they looked after their father. It was a hard time and they would have faltered if it wasn’t for the nice lady from the first floor. Her name was Renee Katz, a young police officer on sick leave. A bodged raid had left her with both her legs in a cast.
She knew the twins well, they offered to do the shopping for her since she could not walk. This led her to grow fond of the girls. When the twins now had to run a household, they came to her with their questions and she helped where she could.
Then one day the two girls hatched a plan. They saw that their father, though he had them, was lonely and missed Phyllis. They missed her mother too but they were also in need of a new mother. So now they had a single nice lady with no family and a nice family without a mother. The math was simple. Glen had to marry Renee.
The next weekend was the girl’s birthday and the two invited Renee upstairs for dinner. They cooked and prepared the whole day. When Glen came from work he was standing in awe. The apartment had never looked so clean and nice, the food smelled good and his daughters must have been switched with two angels, as they stood at the door waiting for him and smiling above both ears.
Then he noticed that the table was set for four and he began to wonder. It all became clear when Renee rang at the door.
Of course he knew her, as he had sometimes talked with her about his daughters, but he never had noticed how good looking she was. Similar thoughts went through Renee’s mind. The twins’ plan worked flawlessly.
Renee moved in with them three months after the dinner and married Glen two months after that.
The happiness had moved in again in the Carlsen household.
Soon it became apparent that both girls were good students and they kept on learning like there was no tomorrow. Both had very distinct plans for what they want to become and it was clear to see that both plans were influenced by their mother’s death. Rebecca planned to be a police officer like Renee, to catch criminals like those who shot Phyllis. Sarah on the other hand wanted nothing more than to become a doctor.
In High school, though never being really bookish types, both girls were not among the partygoing bunch. Both still did some work at home and spent much of their time learning for their chosen professions.
They even were not that interested in boys either, though both had some admirers.
The same behaviour was shown by them in College, where they shared the same dorm room. But the difference to High school was that both made their experiences with men in that time. While Sarah found a nice if a bit nerdy boy (head of math club), Rebecca caught one of the Football team. Everything went well and both left College with grades that put them in the top of their year.
Then came the first real separation for the sisters. Rebecca went to the Police Academy while Sarah joined University for her degree in Medicine. But they stayed close.
It soon showed that Sarah was made for medicine. It might have been the many hours she spend already learning basics during her School years, it miht have been natural talent or both. Fact is, she excelled. During her internship she soon noticed that she felt most at home in the more busy areas of the hospital like the ER or ICU.
After her internship was finished she was offered a residency at Freedom City General, much to her joy. Rebecca had transferred to the FCPD two years ago and was already a detective in Vice. She moved to FC and moved in with her sister till she found an apartment for her own. Two years later the sisters still lived together. Or one could say they accidentally shared the same living space.
Both showed that they were both obsessive when it came to their work. Both worked overtime almost every day and both had to be forced to take the occasional vacation. But both were happy with that arrangement.
It happened one day, Sarah was working in the ER. The White Knight had crashed into a peaceful demonstration of the mostly black inhabitants of a block that the city planned to level for a parking garage.
The burned and wounded victims were shipped to all hospitals and the ER of FC General was overflowing. Sarah did her best. She worked calm and efficiently as she was used to and known for. But deep inside she grieved for all those whose burns were to severe to heal without scarring or heal at all.
It was this moment, when she sat beside a 23 year old woman who was beyond saving, that somebody touched her shoulder from behind. “You have been chosen” said a voice. When she turned she could not see anyone in the chaos that went havoc in the ER.
The next morning she awoke with a shock. Her right arm was gone. In its stead she now had a limb made from some silvery, metallic stuff. It had a strange protrusion on the back of the hand and a strange dull grey pad in the palm. A look in the mirror showed her that her eyes had changed too. Where before a pair of dark brown eyes had been, there were now two silver orbs.
This was the one day she called in sick. Together with Rebecca (who was on forced leave; the bean counters were shocked aver her overtime chart) she tried and tested the new thing.
She found out several things. She could see other people’s heartbeat. It showed like the curve on an EKG. And she could zoom her vision into things like a microscope.
Her hand was wonderful too. The silvery stuff was malleable. She could form her fingers into tools at will. Scalpels, scissors, prongs, hooks….whatever she wanted. The grey pad proved to be an internal defibrillator and the protrusion on the back of her hand was a syringe with five clear capsules in a mechanism similar to a revolver drum. The syringe’s needle could be extracted at will.
But the greatest discovery was when she accidentally cut Rebecca with a scalpel finger. Just with a touch of her normal hand she closed the wound and not even a scar remained.
It was clear what she would do now. This was Freedom City after all. She donned a lab coat over her usual scrubs as a costume and soon Code Blue was a regular sight at every big accident or super villain fight.
Since both arm and eyes were not easy to hide, she never tried to and soon the media made a connection between the silver eyed hero and the silver eyed doctor at FC General.

My second submission for Millenium's Neoverse. She started out as a mere way of fiddling around with the Healing Power. I always felt that just having Healing would not do it. As a Nurse myself I often thought about a superhero doctor who would be an entire ambulance in one body. And thus I started to stat...and fell in love with Sarah.
She is definitely the one character who is the most based on me (being a twin, a jew, working in medicine and so on).
And after realizing that my first submission Brickstone was one powerhouse among many (Johnny Walls, Gem etc.) it was an easy choice for me to submit Sarah.

 I know something. As soon as Rebecca became a full fledged cop, she has used her access to police records to search for the man that killed her mother. And she found him...unfortunately. The man who shot Phyllis Carlsen is Simon Moore, son of the former Freedom City mayor and now a wealthy businessman. Rebecca also found out that he has his fingers in many pies, from the slightly shady to downright illegal, she just has no real proof. She knows she can't go after him without proof and therefor has not told anyone, even Sarah, about her findings.
 I know that you know.Unfortunately, Simon Moore has discovered that someone is snooping around his past and current activities. He even knows it is Rebecca, and he surely remembers the twin girls, whose mother he once shot. But since both girls are respected members of their professions, and of course of their recent developed super powers, he has not done any open actions. He is preparing, though.

Rebecca Carlsen

Image

Rebecca shares mostof her experiences with her sister. The two always stuck together like siamese twins. The one real difference happened on the day their mother died. While Sarah instantly jumped to their fallen mother's side to help her, Rebecca focused on the guy who shot the poor Mrs. Carlsen.
Maybe it was the first indication of the paths their future lifes would take, Sarah helping the injured and Rebecca focused on the perpetrators.
Anyway, as she looked the thug in the face, she burned his face in her memory. She would never forget his ice-blue eyes, his short-cropped bleached hair and the tiny scar under his eye.
She even told the policemen what she saw, but since they had arrested already the two other robbers, one with the shotgun that killed Rebecca's mother in his hand, and since there was no other evidence of a third robber besides the little girls testimony they didn't follow it any further.
Since that day, Rebecca knew what she had to do. She would become a true cop. One who always follows the evidence and puts the real criminals behind bars.
So she did everything to achieve this goal. Where Sarah was studying science and medicine, Rebecca devoured books about criminology, trained hard to become fit, joined a local dojo for martial arts training and learned to shoot as soon she was old enough.
Then she joined the police academy. Life was hard there. Women are still a minority among the policemen, especially black jewish ones. But she pulled through, on top of her class.
Then she worked hard to be the best cop she could be. She did this not for promotion, but to help others. (her mindset is much like Det./Sgt./Lt./Commisioner Gordon of the Christopher Nolan movies)
It was one day. when she and her partner followed a lead on a guy who had robbed several gas stations around Freedom City. He was seen when he left a bar, the "Shady Lady", the evening before in company of a known hooker. They now wanted to ask the lady a few questions. That was when the sh*t hit the fan.
The culprit still was with the girl and when he saw two police officers approaching he held his gun to her head and threatened to shoot her.
Rebecca did not recollect anything from that moment on but a voice inside her head that told her "You can do it!". Her partner reported later that she somehow talked the man into aiming at her and releasing the hostage. Then she moved forward and when the criminal shot, simply blocked the bullet with her hand before subduing him in a few seconds.
She was sent home after her reports to get her head clear and not to come back for two days.
The next morning she awoke with a strange feeling. Drowsily she entered the bathroom only to see that something had happened to her...it had changed her. Her eyes were now two solid golden orbs and her right arm was made from the same golden material.
The shock grew as Sarah entered scared with almost the same changes (only that her metal was silvery and it was her left arm that changed).
But as soon as both calmed down, investigative and curious as they are, they tried to figure out what had happened and what they were able to do now.
Rebecca found out that her arm, no her entire body was way stronger than before, she could see in the dark and had an enhanced sense of smell.
But her real abilities she did not discover until she went back to work. It was a week after the incident when she ran into a small-time super villain in an armoured suit who was robbing a bank, shooting from his arm mounted machine guns.
Her right arm moved without her having to do abnything, blocking all bullets. Then she saw to her astonishment when a string of the strange golden material flew towards the villain and wrapped itself around him, rendering him immobile. The clean up was easy.
Since then Rebecca has experimented a bit more. She discovered she could shoot a paralyzing beam as well, though she is still inexperienced with it. And she found out that her skin is hard enough, not to be wounded anymore.

Description:
She looks a lot like her twin sister (not surprisingly), but there are differences. While Sarah keeps her hair cut short, Rebecca wears it long, usually tied in a ponytail or bun.
Rebecca is also one inch taller, but that is only noticeable when both sisters stand beside each other.
The last difference is that her police training made Rebecca's body a bit more defined with musculature.

Well, after statting out Sarah I thought I was done with the twins. What did I know. A tiny but persistent voice kept nagging in the back of my mind. And she became very persistent.
As someone who can't say NO easily, I folded and gave in...so I statted Rebecca and here she is.

A rainy afternoon in Freedom City.
With blaring sirens an ambulance approaches Freedom City General Hospital, the flaashing lights indicating a dire emergency. With screeching brakes it comes to a stop in front the ER.
"What do you have?" came the routine question from a tiny yet energetic doctor.
"Young female GSV (Gun shot victim), Took two in the chest and two in the abdomen. Life signs unstable, BP's dropping, breathing's ragged but stable." the paramedic informed her as they rolled the stretcher inwards.
"Alright, lets get her into an OR stat." the small black doctor told the ambulance team. Then she turned herself to the two interns following her."Grayson, you prep her and get OR 2 ready, we'll try to save her. Chen, you have the floor. Don't argue or you have bedpan duty."
With hurried steps she walks away to scrub herself.
"God, this girl has some luck." said the older paramedic.
"Which one?" came his colleagues question. "The GSV." "Why? she got shot." "Yeah sure. Hey, Charlie, you're new. Right now she's in the best hands she could get into. If someone can save her, it's Superdoc!" and he nods as if to confirm a statement.
"Superdoc..." mumbles the younger paramedic as he looks after the departing doc. As she turned into the scrub room, he catches a glimpse of a silvery arm....a prosthetic?

50 minutes later
beep...beep...beep...beep...
"We need more blood.´Get me 2 more units of 0 and put some pressures here and here. Shit, what ammo did they use....this looks like hamburger heaven."
....
beep...beep...beep
...
"Damn, Grayson, call Dr. Ingles. We need to save the liver....."
....
beepbeepbeepbeepbeep
...
"She*s crashing, BP' s down, I get some arrhythmias.....PADDLES!"
...
bepbepbepbepbepbepbepbepbepbepbep
...
Chargimg 400, CLEAR!...ZAP!...Charging 500, Clear!...ZAP!....Charging 600, Clear!...ZAP!...Charging.."
"Doctor Carlsen, stop. You have to call it!"
"Not on my watch, Steve. Akrinor 10cc stat...charging 600, Clear!...ZAP!..... Charging...Clear!....ZAP!"
...
beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
...
"Doctor Carlsen...SARAH! You have to call it...she's passed! Do it...or I'll do it!"
"Steve....I can't...she's....."
The young small doctor runs out of the OR.
"Time of death...4:52 pm"

5 minutes later in a storage closet
The young doctor with the silver arm sits crying among the´shelves with cleaning supplies, tears running out her silver eyes like a brook.
Carefully the elder doctor, his nametag says "Ingles", opens the door and steps in, kneeling beside Doctor Carlsen.
"You couldn't help her. Nobody could. In fact, you gave her more time than anybody would have managed. Her wounds were too severe, amd as soon as the heart stopped....well you did your best."
"But...but it wasn't good enough....look at me.....I have these powers...powers a doctor dreams of...and I can't stop it happening all over again...."
"Sarah, his woman wasn't your mother. You are the best doc a patient could wish for, but you have to let it go....it will eat you up and destroy you. You can't save everyone. Nobody can...only God. Come on...wash your face and get back to the ER. I'll inform the relatives, OK?"
"No..I was her attending...I'll do it."

In the waiting room.
As she entered the waiting area she noticed a young man in a police uniform. She recognized him. Rebecca had brought him over a few times....what was his name...Jimmy...no...Johnny. Johnny Walls.
He stands up, looking at her with both hope and desparation.
"Oh Johnny, I'm sorry....I could not save her!"

A bit from Sarah's/Code Blue's past. The Johnny referred to here is Johnny Walls, a character by CourtFool, who is in the same campaign. We agreed that our characters knoiw each other, mostly through Rebecca.
After we decided that Sarah could have been the attending doctor as his GF got gunned down, I had to write this.

Ok, here he is, the wealthy business magnate Simon Moore, sadistic son of the former Freedom City Mayor Kevin Moore. To the public he is the rich bachelor owner of many companies like Trust Records, Moore Manufacturing and others.
He gained all this wealth on his own accord (according to public knowledge), unblemished by his father's corruption scandal. He does a lot of charity work and is the member of every important society (Rotarians, Freemasons etc.). In short, the most eligible bachelor of Freedom City.
But this is just the public surface....
The truth is much darker. During his father's reign as mayor, young Simon was an unruly, sadistic thug, pure and simple. He committed every crime he could think of, protected by his father and his contacts in the organised crime syndicates. One day he even shot a random woman in a supermarket, just to see how it feels to kill a human. He still remembers that moment, as well as the two little girlswho were with that woman.
And of course he never got caughtor charged.
At the political end of his father became obvious, he severed all ties and started to build a power base on his own. With a shrewd financial mind, a knack for good investing opportunities (sometimes helped by his own criminal contacts) and an ever increasing fund he soon became wealthy beyond his dreams.
He now runs a conglomerate of business owned directly by him or thriugh a chain of intermediaries. And he also controls his old gang, now employed as his own personal strike force, a group of some of the worst scum Freedom City has to offer, who are fanatically loyal to Simon.
Lately he discovered that a certain police officer had shown an increased interest in his files, Rebecca Carlsen. He was surprised as he recognized her as one of the two girls from the supermarket, so long ago.
SInce he was bored by his life, he had some scientists build him a suit to act as a superpowered villain, only to play with Rebecca and Sarah.

Simon is a cruel and sadistic megalomaniac to his core. He enjoys toying with people. I built him with a slight excess of pp, but that should be alright, I think.
He is already a dangerous opponent without his suit...within he is just a deranged villain.

After statting the twins Code Red/Code Blue, I had to build their arch nemesis. Simon Moore, son of the corrupt, former mayor of Freedom City Kevin Moore.
And I think I managed to pull off a badass.

Edit: I stand corrected. He got pwned because off his bad Reflex save. Lowered Mind Shield and invested the points in saves. I think he might be better now.

Blaidd Drwg
Gwen Glendover
Image

Description:
Gwen Glendover is a mildly known artist, known foremost for her paintings of “Fantasy landscapes”. In fact these landscapes are real, just not on this plane but in the Sidhe world.
She is a young and attractive woman in her late 20s with red hair and green eyes. She looks slender but fit and usually wears casual clothes, blue jeans and suede jackets being a favourite.
As Blaidd Drwg she wears the traditional costume with the red dragon but sports a Union Jack on her left shoulder pad for her mentor, hiding her face behind the grey hood with the blue-lensed eyeslits. She also added some dark grey leather boots and gloves for mere fashion statement.

Eirias is as it always was, a leaf-bladed long sword, the blade appearing to be almost translucent. It is not made of any known material. In fact, it cuts only non living matter. It passes though flesh and blood as if it was insubstantial, only disrupting the mind of those hurt, not drawing blood.
Right now this is the sword’s only power, but others are documented. Gwen just does not know how to access them.

The Hoverbike of Union Jack looked like a wheel-less motorbike, but Gwen had it remodelled that it resembles in shape something like a horse (like Marvel’s Black Knight sometimes rode) but still discernible as being a machine. It is still coloured like Union Jack’s bike (Blue, with Union jack on the tank).

Gwynneth:
Gwynneth is a pixie, one of the lower ranking sprites of the Sidhe world. She looks like a teenage girl with dragonfly wings…only that she is just 5 inches tall. Apart from her constantly flying she has no powers except that she is able to pull Gwen’s consciousness to the Sidhe world when Gwen sleeps. She usually does that to speak with Gwenn eye to eye, since she can grow to human size there.
Other than that, she is more a nuisance than a help, but Gwen thinks of her as a friend (and sometimes they argue as such)

I've been quite liberate with the historical facts about Owain Glyndwr....please forgive me.

Blaidd Drwg

In the year 1400, Owain Glyndwr ap Gruffydd, Lord of Glyndyvrdwy and Sycharth, Yscoed and Gwynyoneth, rebelled against the english occupying forces of Henry Plantagenet in Wales. He was more successful than anyone before him and was able to unite all of Wales for the first time ever.
The rebellion was unsuccessful though.
History books are not sure why that happened, historians spout various theories but none comes near the truth.
The truth is, that Owain Glyndwr had to fight supernatural forces as well. After the insurrection, he soon discovered, that the English had sided with several fallen Sidhe of the unseelie court. He sought to make a pact with the Seelie Court, pointing out the common ancestry of the Welsh and the Sidhe as well his good relation with everyone of the little folk, but to no avail. The Seelies would not involve themselves in mortal manners as an entity. One though, a renegate son of the High Folk (or Elves) stepped to the mortals side voluntarily. He was an artificer of great skill and gifted his finest creation to Owain, the sword Eirias. This weapon was forged to battle the Unseelies and was their bane. The tide of battle was about to swing for the welsh people.
But they were betrayed from within. A close friend of Owain, Iole Goch the bard, opened the castle gates so the english troops could enter. Owain Glyndwr was barely able to escape, but he did.
In the following years of hiding he swore to himself that he and his successors would be the bane of the Unseelies and the saviours of Wales. And thus Eirias was gifted through the generations. A family heirloom.
Until the modern days arrived. The passage of time had made some changes to the role of the Glyndwyr family.
The fair folk was not as active as in the passed ages. The drive for unity of Wales was not as important now that it was part of the United kingdom, though the bearer of Eirias would always strife to better the fate of the Welsh populace. And they worked to keep their people safe, fighting mundane threats as well, from simple criminals to mighty industrial corporations.
The bearer of Eirias also fought in both World Wars (a different bearer in each). In the first he did without using his powers, since he was simply drafted. But Colin Glyndwr (or Glendover as the family was now written) volunteered 1941 for the second War to fight the atrocities the third Reich was pouring out.
He battled the Nazi supersoldiers on the front, but retired back to Wales, where he secured the homefront against german spies and saboteurs, after Letztlichmensch aquired Excalibur. He did not want to risk Eirias against the far superior sword. His point was made after Letztlichmensch even acquired Caladbolg. Now only one of the major magic swords was in british hands and he made sure it would stay that way.
Again the sword was passed on, but the times now were different. Supervillains erupted, costumed criminals and heroes alike filled the news. This made the Glyndwr oath easier to achieve. Just wear something tight and colourful and noone would even think anything about someone with a sword…
Colin himself took for himself the mantle of Blaidd Llwyd which means Grey Wolf in homage to Owain Glyndwr’s title during his guerilla fight against the English, with his grey and blue costume, featuring the red welsh dragon proud on his chest.
His son Allen followed in his footsteps and was quite successful in his superhero career. The only setback happened, when Agony, a minor villain, bombed his hideout. Though the damage was supposedly not much, one thing that was destroyed was the Glyndwr family chronicle. And with it the full description of Eirias powers.
Allen didn’t think much of it, since he knew them and was already teaching his son to follow in his footsteps.
Bran Glendover was born a hero. Of all of those who had worn the mantle of the Grey Wolf, he was the most visible, the most adored by the public, the most dashing. Also he would be the most tragic. Among all his heroics, he had one shortcoming. He noticed too late, that the Unseelie arose again. He was simply to stubborn, since he believed that his ancestors had destroyed them. So he went on only fighting superhuman crime. He too started early to train his only son Kevin in the family tradition. But then it happened. Maybe after such a long streak of heroes there had to be a black sheep, maybe the pressure of the family oath broke the young man…nothing is proven. Only the fact remains that Kevin became a traitor to his own blood. He tried to kill his father and seize the power of Eirias for himself. Fortunately another hero, ironically the pure-blooded english “Union Jack”, was able to prevent that. Kevin had to flee the scene and from that day became the known criminal “Black Knight”.
A few days, after the incident, Union Jack visited Gwen Glendover, the niece of Bran, the last other member of the Glyndwyr bloodline. He had promised the dying Grey Wolf to deliver her the sword and look out for her until she was able to fight for herself. So Gwen now became a sidekick, taking the costume of her uncle but chosing the name Blaidd Drwg (meaning Bad Wolf) as a sign of teenage rebellion.
He learned much from the older hero, though never how to unleash Eirias’ full potential. All her hero forefathers were stronger, faster and more resilient than a normal human. Her uncle was able to leap miles through the air…but she was not. Instead she learned to rely on her human abilities and skills.
The only success she had, evoking the sword’s powers was when she accidentily freed Gwynneth, a small fairy, that was bound into the sword.
When Union Jack, who was already in his 40s when he took Gwen on, chose to retire, he gave the young woman his jetbike, as he had come to see her as his own daughter.
From that day, the former sidekick went on her own, bearing not only one legacy, but fought in the name of Union Jack as well.
The only thing that changed is the fact that Gwen moved to America. She felt lonely in the UK, now that all her family had gone.

After reading Mr.United's alternate timeline for his setting, I immediately had the idea of a sword wielding hero like Black Knight. With a bit twiddling I statted her out and made her part of a great hero legacy. But unfortunately I had overlooked the Power Limit Mr. U set.
As for now, I found myself unable to shrink her down to PL9.... :(
