Hah. I think Diesel had the nickname before he became a super, and it suits his liquid self well. I also came up with it because the river in my fictional city is the "Diesel River," and originally the press was going to call him "The Diesel Man" because he was spotted by the river. Then the name would be shortened to "Diesel" over time. But, I scrapped that and thought it would be simpler if Diesel was an alias he carried while doing jobs for the mafia to pay off his gambling debts.

Eagle Eye (Garrett) is obviously a Hawkeye/Green Arrow type. He has minor sensory powers, which help his incredible skill with bows and guns. Garret Harvey is an incoming freshman at Paradigm High, a school for supers. The tech teacher, Gearhead, created Garrett's collapsible bow. Gearhead also designed Garret's trick arrows, which let him stand up to any of his more super-powered classmates.

Bridgett has a pair of gloves that she inherited from her great-grandmother, Reyna Anderson - the original Blue Beacon, who fought for the Brits in WWII. When Bridgett dons the gloves, she gains the powers of her great-grandmother. Bridgett doesn’t know how the gloves work, however. She suspects that it has something to do with her family line, which is partially correct. The sapphire inlaid in the gloves absorbed some of her great-grandmother’s power, and these energies fuel Bridgett’s own nascent powers. Perhaps someday she won’t need the gloves at all.

For the record, his Toughness is never 0. It is 7 normally, 5 without armor. With armor and flat footed, it is 6. With no armor, and flat footed it is 4.

Description Sammy Jacobs, aka Amp, is part of the popular crowd. His cocky nature and flashy powers make him a natural jock. Sammy’s normal clothing consists of name brand t-shirts and designer jeans. His super costume is form-fitting blue and white with lightning patterns. He's the son of Charge (dad, electricity controller) and Jetstream (mom, speedster).

The Genets live in a stately manor in upstate New York. They operated for many years as expert thieves, but after Nick was born, they leveraged their knowledge of the criminal underworld to place themselves in a position more in-line with the law. They now broker information and act as security consultants for both world governments and commercial organizations. Their treasured family heirloom, the Cape of the Raven, has been passed to Nick. Nick’s parents bought him an apartment in Paradigm, as they live about an hour away. They keep tabs on him covertly, and they see him about once a month personally. They’re loving parents, but their busy work lives don’t give them much time to spend with their son. Nick craves their attention and approval, but too much negligence will drive him away. Nick could either follow his parents and become a paid operative, or he could rebel and be a poor but self-sustained city vigilante.

Designer Note: Never is one of my favorites in the bunch. I first envisioned him as an adult hero and later sized him to down to fit in at Paradigm High, but his core essence remains the same. The Cape of the Raven was originally a full-sized cloak and hood, but that would look a little silly on a high school student (and the editor doesn't have a hood I liked), and I thought this small cape fits his attitude too well. However, I think that the cape can "resize" in a fashion. Nick can pull on the end and make the cape furl around him as he turns into a flock of ravens, and perhaps it can transform into the full cloak and hood when he wants it to. The reason I put his Flight power into an array is because I don't see him using it much when he's actually in combat. He would swoop in as a spooky flock of ravens (which join into a shadowy mass to form Nick), and then he'd be like Batman, jumping around and kicking people in the head. I don't know what's going to happen with Never, yet. If the PCs decide to get involved with him, then we can see where he goes! Just look at his face. You know he's about to get into trouble.
