Relationship: Krillin is extremely close with almost all of the Z-Fighters, especially Goku and Yamcha, who he grew up with.

- Krillin, one of the guys who's been there since the beginning, despite getting overpowered by his buddy Goku. Honestly, Krillin is one of the better characters in the series, being both the comedy relief at times and a pretty capable and stalwart fighter. This build is him around the arrival of the Saiyans to just before the power-up he receives on Namek. He's PL 8, which isn't that bad (he and Yamcha weren't *too* far apart in skill and power, with Tien edging them out slightly), but he makes up for it by being hard to put down (Luck 2 and Diehard) and being a good team player (Set-up and Teamwork).

- I take it back, Yamcha really shouldn't be considered the weakest. Its definitely this guy. I really can't say much about Chiaotzu, as he really didn't participate in many battles at all (once at the World's Martial Arts Tournament and during the battle with the Saiyans), and really was just there to cheer Tien on. Still, he's different than most of the other martial artists as he has psychic powers which are pretty advanced (he can trap people, damage them invisibly, and he can manipulate objects without actually seeing them, hence Indirect). And yes, I did throw in the ability for him to blow up (probably his most well-known stunt) with the side effect incapacitating him and then the resulting damage backlash performing a killing blow on him. Did I mention he creeps me out a bit? *stares at his smiling face in horror*

Nice DBZ builds.

Personally, I would give the Kienzan a higher rank, but also give it the inaccurate flaw. Its really powerful, basically powerful enough to even kill Frieza if he got hit with it, but its so easy to dodge its pathetic.

Thanks for the comments! The Kienzan may very well deserve a higher rank since it has been shown to allow Krillin to hurt foes way beyond his ability, but I wasn't sure if it needed a higher rank or if you could simply represent it via Power Attack (which I imagined was the fighter putting more ki into the attack at the expense of accuracy). This is how I was viewing the DBZ cast in comparison to comic book heroes (who do equally awesome feats of ability) in that for all their destructive force, its really them using Power Attack (which I'm trying to only give to a few individuals who warrant it). However, the thing about Frieza makes me want to bump it up a couple ranks. I think I'll go back and push it up for Krillin's sake.

I always figured the Kienzan also probably had a lot of ranks of Improved Critical, to represent how insanely sharp it was supposed to be. I mean, of all the people he ever threw it at, he only ever really got a good hit on Freiza-but that hit chopped his tail off, so its definitely got some force behind it.

Plus, Krilin does probably Power Attack with it a lot, raising its DC to 27 and dropping his attack bonus to +4.

Well, I took your comments into consideration people and I went back and changed some things. Added three ranks of Improved Critical on Krillin's Kienzan and dropped Power Attack from Yamcha (as I really don't think he ranks having more than the basic +2 maneuver). Thanks for all the input guys, and please by all means give more!

- This is Gohan at his very earliest, just finishing his first real year of training. Also, if you notice I didn't build his tail, which at this point is more a Complication that the GM can bring into play, occasionally growing back.

I would think if of the DBZ characters deserve Extraordinary Effort, Gohan does.

Granted, I gave it to Goku too when I built him, but Gohan-during the fight with the Saiyans he is tossing around attacks that even Vegeta has to dodge rather than just no-selling them like he probably could have against most anyone else.

- Piccolo during the Saiyan Saga was probably the strongest overall fighter on the Z-team (outside of Goku). I tried to hit all the major powers he showed (Makankosapo, stretching arms, ability to create objects like swords and training clothes, etc). In the anime he performed some other techniques (splitting himself into multiple copies like Tien, and even lifting a pyramid with his mind), but seeing as how he really didn't display them in the manga, I'm going with power stunting on that.

True, Gohan was actually slowing Vegeta down during the end of the fight, but by then he'd already been beat on by Goku and nearly blown into orbit (not to mention being weakened by having his tail suddenly removed). He had to have been Fatigued or even Exhausted by then, but I can see where you are coming from. I think I'll definitely give Frieza Saga Gohan Extraordinary Effort though based on this. Thanks for the input!

- Nappa was leagues above the Z-Fighters (although he's only a PL above Piccolo). He caused the death of three of them (Tien, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo) and beat the living daylights out of Gohan and Krillin. Even Goku admitted that a fight between himself and Nappa might go on forever (at least without Kaio-Ken). So, I built him to pretty much own the mostly PL 7-8 Z-Fighters, and threw in some other minor skills (he was supposedly leader of the entire Saiyan Military, so Expertise: Military and a decent Intelligence seemed proper). There's also the famous moment when he first arrived were he destroyed a city. I obviously toned that down quite a bit, because the next time he performed that attack, the explosion wasn't nearly as big (and he was going all out against Goku), so I just pretend that he just caused a horrible chain reaction in that city that annihilated it.

Nice Picolo and Nappa builds. Picolo always was a hard one to build since he showcases so many powers over the years. He even turned into a giant at one point. You were right that he powerstunts alot.

Krillin's "Kienzan" frisbee attack probably would have wounded Nappa at the very least if it hit him. Too bad Vegeta warned Nappa to get out of the way.

Right about now I think your getting the Z fighters power levels just about right. I hate to see how powerful
Vegeta and Goku are.

Thanks for the comments! Vegeta and Goku are where the PLs start to become log-jammed. I'm fairly certain that Goku without his Kaio-Ken maxing his abilities would be just a bit better than Nappa (as he said they were both nearly equal) so PL 11 seems proper. That leaves me to believe that Vegeta would sit comfortably at PL 12. But when I get to the Frieza Saga, the PLs are going to be very close. The Ginyu Force, for example, despite being shown as vastly powerful compared to the Z-Fighters and even Vegeta only come out to PL 12 (with each one of them being specialized in certain aspects). Goku I figured after arriving on Namek was probably a PL 13, as he was pretty much trumping the entire Ginyu Force (except for maybe Captain Ginyu).

Poor poor Krillin... He always seems to be either dying or being put up against huge muscly guys who kick the living crap out of him. And to make matters worse, he has this really cool, powerful move, but he's almost never allowed to actually HIT anyone with it because it's too deadly. That being said, I agree that he's a great character because he's a tough little bugger who keeps getting back up after being beat down and he's always willing to go up against bad guys that he knows are stronger than him.

The Z-fighters (Piccolo WOOT!) are looking awesome Sev. Even Chiaotzu, which is weird because Chiaotzu is never awesome :lol:.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

- Saibamen are actually decently high level for what pretty much amounts to minions. Their dangerous, able to shoot lines of acid from their skulls and explode themselves (one took out poor Yamcha like this). Some of the stuff I added in the build is pure speculation (like being immune to acid for example), though despite being touted as being equal to Raditz, the Z-Fighters dealt with them pretty handily despite their battle power not reaching that much more than Raditz's had been. Krillin even took out a bunch in one shot, so they couldn't have been that powerful. I figured being only a little behind in damage and toughness compared to Raditz was fair enough.
