Samuel built several different armors in order to combat evil in a variety of environments, ranging from deep space to under the ocean to even in the heart of an active volcano! For times when he can't get to his regular armor, he designed a suitcase armor just for emergencies. In addition, he has created an armor that gives him stealth capabilities.

:arrow: The Volcano Exploration Suit was inspired by the armor from the Iron Man animated movie where the Mandarian is a ghost.

:arrow: Sam's Suitcase Armor was inspired by the one from the Iron Man 2 movie.

:arrow: The Stonewall Add-On Armor Module fits over Sam if he's wearing armor (not his Deep Sea Armor as it won't fit) or not. I was inspired by The Batman's Bat-suit from the episode Traction. An excellent episode to be honest. The name 'Stonewall' is a reference to General Stonewall Jackson, the famous Confederate general from the War Between the States.

:arrow: The Stonewall Armor is equipped with special weapons designed to take down enemies. If attacked by a mental assault, the neural shield reacts by sending out a neural shock of its own against the assailant. Against acrobats, martial artists, speedsters, and weapon masters, the suit can generate slippery ice fields, many types of gas attacks, subsonic vertigo inducers, snares of various types, and even mental blasts. Against energy projectors, psions and mages, the suit can create numerous distractions to hamper their concentration, as well as an exotic energy beam that scrambles the abilities of most energy manipulators. Against powerhouses, the suit generates assorted neural scrambler beams, as well environmental hazards to make them lose their footing. Against other battlesuits and gadgeteers the suit can generate a channeled electromagnetic pulse, shorting out most devices. I have to thank Jonathan Howell (aka Archeville, yep the guy who used to come here. Wait, does he come around here anymore?) for that idea.

Background Information:

A Native Hawaiian, Apikalia Maile was a lively and active child. She was greatly interested in her Hawaiian heritage, studying it intensely. Apikalia enjoyed learning about the stories and legends about Pele, the ancient Hawaiian goddess of fire, lightning, wind, dance, and volcanoes. Apikalia’s grandmother would often say that Apikalia had the same color hair as the goddess as Apikalia had red hair, something unusual for a Native Hawaiian.

One day when Apikalia was only eighteen, the volcano Kīlauea began to spew lava and ash, making many worried that the volcano was going to erupt. Somehow, Apikalia felt drawn to the volcano. She climbed to the top of the volcano. Despite the unbearable intense heat and choking clouds of ash, she reached the very edge to the mouth of the angry volcano. Apikalia stared into the volcano and stepped off the edge…

When she opened her eyes, she was shocked to find herself standing on the magma, unharmed! While she was a bit surprised that she was naked (her clothes had incinerated from the fires), Apikalia was even more surprised by the fact that she was able to control fire and earth. Then, she saw that she was able to control the wind and electricity! Apikalia began to use her powers to calm the volcanoes, saving her home from destruction. Apikalia kept the fact that she had saved her friends and family from harm as she was unsure what they would think of her. Apikalia then got a scholarship to attend college in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was there that she began to use her powers to fight crime as well as dealing with the appearances of various Hawaiian deities. It was from them that she learned that she was descended from Pele herself. Thus, Apikalia called herself Pele when she was out fighting crime.

:arrow: Pele is the eruptive (pun intended) powerhouse of the All-Star Force. She is able to hold her own against heavies and when need be she can blast foes with fire, electrical, and magma attacks.

:arrow: Pele is kind of the Wonder Woman of the Crusaderverse. She's also a proud lesbian who is in a relationship with her fellow teammate, Sedna.

:arrow: Pele likes to burrow under her foes and then burst out in an eruption of fire and earth.

:arrow: Apikalia can use her fire abilities to change into Pele quickly.

Complications:
Hurt Pride: Sedna considered herself to be powerful. That all ended when she began a relationship with Pele, who became quite dominant. Sedna gets upset when someone mentions this.

Vengeful: Being a vengeful deity, Sedna can bite off more than she can chew.

Protect the Waters: She is quite protective of the seas, but she understands that people need the seas to live, and thus, she allows people to hunt and kill the creatures of the seas. This gets her into heated arguments with those who would seek to halt such hunting like seal and whale hunting.

Parental Issues: Is still mad at her father for what happened to her before she became a goddess.

Love (Pele): Sedna loves Pele, and although she is still ticked off that the Hawaiian is the dominant one in the relationship, Sedna will defend Pele to her last breath.

Enemy (Thunderbird): The Thunderbird, Evil Bird King, after being put to sleep for countless years by Sedna’s father, has finally awoken. He desires Sedna, and despises her relation with Pele.

Background Information:

Sedna is the Inuit goddess of the sea and marine animals and was the ruler of the Inuit underworld, Adlivun. However, this wasn’t always so.

Long ago, Sedna was a beautiful maiden who rejects marriage proposals from the hunters of her village. When an unknown hunter appears, Sedna's father, creator-god Anguta, agrees to give her to him as wife in return for fish. Sedna's father gives Sedna a sleeping potion and gives her to the hunter who takes her to a large nest on a cliff, revealing his true form: a great thunderbird. She wakes surrounded by birds. When he discovers that he has given his daughter to the evil bird king, her father attempts to rescue her, but her husband the bird creature becomes angry, causing a great storm. In desperation, Sedna's father throws her into the raging sea. Attempting to cling to the kayak, her hands freeze and her fingers fall off becoming the creatures of the sea. She falls to the bottom of the sea, and becomes the goddess of the seas and marine animals. In addition, she becomes the goddess of the underworld.

The fact that her father refused to allow her to find her own husband and that he threw her off his kayak and didn’t bother to pull her from the freezing waters, caused her to be spiteful and vengeful.

While she did grow her fingers back through magic, her hands became webbed.

Unlike other deities, Sedna was not concerned with the changes affecting the faith of humanity, as she was the goddess of the underworld and the seas. It was only when she heard something: a dying man crawling across the frozen wastes of the icy north of Alaska, calling and muttering for help. Only Sedna heard him. Upon reaching the man, he told her that he was Dr. Davidson. He had found gold in Alaska, but his partner, Stacie Pike, shot him when she tried to take the location of the gold from him. Davidson begged Sedna to save his son as Pike would try to force Davidson’s son to marry her in order to get her hands on the gold. Sedna watched the man die in her arms. It was then that the ice that had frozen Sedna’s feelings for so long due to her spite melted. She realized that Davidson’s son would soon be forced into a relationship that reflected what had happened to her.

She traveled to New York, tracking down Pike’s thugs, which led her to Charlotte, North Carolina where she was able to save Davidson’s son. It was then that she learned that Pike was actually a unwilling servant to the Thunderbird.

Sedna decided to stay in the mortal world and help protect humanity from criminals and villains, especially evil deities and spirits from Inuit mythology.

:arrow: Sedna is sort of a cross between Namor and Thor. I wanted to feature a underworld deity in the role of a hero, and I thought that Sedna sounded like a good choice. Come to think of it, I might feature other underworld deities as heroes instead of villains.

:arrow: Sedna is Pele's girlfriend, but Sedna tries to keep her Hawaiian lover in check, which is a heroic feat in itself!

:arrow: Sedna still isn't sure about her sexuality, but she enjoys being Pele's girlfriend.

:arrow: I know that in the picture and in Inuit mythology, Sedna's hands become flippers and fins, but I didn't want to give her the no hands drawback.

:arrow: Her origin story of how she gets involved with the mortal world was inspired by the origin story of Jack Frost, a character created by Stan Lee a long time ago.

:arrow: Went back and made her stronger and more agile, since JD's suggestions were really good ideas. I also looked at Namor after seeing his suggestions, and Namor is quite powerful, able to go toe-to-toe with the Thing and the Hulk, as well as the occasional sea monster.

Background Information:

A young Peruvian girl named Bethania Rafaela Adoración found a strange amulet in the ruins of Machu Picchu. Upon grasping it, she became endowed with strange powers of the ancient Incas, allowing her to run at amazingly fast speeds and control of the weather and winds.

She used her new powers to help her people and country. One day, she met an American archaeologist named Dr. Alex Robin. For her it was love at first sight. When a group of greedy treasure hunters kidnapped Alex and tried to force him to help them, Bethania decided to use her powers to save him and protect her country’s ancient treasures.

She later moved to Charlotte, NC to study under Alex as well as be close to him. She hopes to become a great archaeologist like Alex.

:arrow: Storm Weaver is the only straight hero on the all female All-Star Force. This is mainly because the four members share the same apartment! :shock:

:arrow: Storm Weaver is the exact opposite in terms of a speedster's personality: she is calm, patient, and level-headed. While super-fast, she doesn't rush into things unless she has no other choice, and even then, she tries to think things through, being well aware that slow and steady is far better than fast and speedy.

:arrow: While being the youngest member of the All-Star Force, she is the leader of the group, as even Sedna admits that Storm Weaver is the most level-headed and mature of the group.

Crusaderverse asks the question, "When the world needs a hero, will you answer the call?" Crusader is the new hero on the block and he tries to learn what it means to be a superhero.

Background Information:

Miriam Wilhelmina is the heiress to Vega Unitronics. Miriam is a brilliant scientist and inventor, as well as the leading R&D developer for Vega, which is run by her father, Claus Wilhelmina. She created and expanded on all current technologies, which led to the creation of energy weaponry.

However, a high-tech thief attempted to steal her father’s work, which resulted in the hospitalization of her father. Attempting to stop the thief and his employers, she donned a prototype armor designed to resemble ancient knights. Miriam stopped the thief and several terrorists. Because of her resemblance to a knight and the suit’s speed, the media dubbed her Hyper Dragoon.

She continues to run her father's company, while also tracking down the ones who wanted to steal from her family's company.

Personality:

Miriam, while smart and brilliant, is also a socialite, interested in the latest fashion designs just as much as she is in the latest discoveries in cybernetics and robotics. She is a paradox. She is however an excellent fencer and trained in the swordsmanship, a she enjoys as the Vega Family has a proud heritage of knights.

Vivienne, despite having a temper, is a polite and kindhearted wolf-vixen. She is quite funloving, but she is very dedicated to her responsibilities nonetheless, and she can be quite serious at times too. She is detail-oriented, but she is always open to new ideas. She does loses her temper, especially when children, people weaker than her, and her friends and family are threatened.

She is also known for being very caring, especially to her friends and loved ones. Vivi is very enthusiastic, as well as being openhearted and smart, although she can be overly reflexive and candid about her feelings. In addition, especially when upset she can be tough and stubborn. Vivi is quite outgoing and strong-willed, but also a romantic, especially considering that since childhood, she has dreamed of finding "true love."

:arrow: Wow! Mechavixen was quite tough building her. I had to redo her a dozen times (Crusader still holds the #1 rank of being redone the most times though ;) ) before I was satisfied with her.

:arrow: Her origin story was inspired by the one found in the Instant Heroes sourcebook.

:arrow: Metalheart is the name of an awakened Female Gunner Mechanic from the (FREE!) online game Dungeon Fighter Online. I changed to Metalheart as calling Vivi's armor Delphine didn't sound right (although I like the name, but for story purposes, it had to be changed).

:arrow: Mechavixen relies on her suit's speed and agility to take down foes.

:arrow: Unlike Crusader, who has invented several variations of his armor, Mechavixen invents special armor designed to fit over her regular armor. When necessary, she can disengage a majority of her armor. These special armors take advantage of her speed.

:arrow: I'm going back and making a lot of changes to Mechavixen, so expect to see a whole lot of differences.

:arrow: Mechavixen is able to use her martial arts skills to assist her as well, even while in the suit. This makes her more than your usual run-of-the-mill battlesuit character.

:arrow: Unlike her mother who knows Muay Thai kickboxing, Savate (French Kickboxing), and Tae Kwan Do, Vivi mainly knows Tae Kwan Do, with some Muay Thai moves and attacks thrown into the mix. She is currently working on earning her black belt.

IN all honestly, only you can decide if your characters are too powerful or too week. But I would like to point out one thing I have noticed about many of your builds. You make your Tech characters much more powerful then the others; And that many of your general super individuals, don't have many "High" stats, which are above human level.

This makes me assume, that you like characters which are far more mundane as far as abilities go. Nothing wrong with that, but that is honestly the only critique I can really give . I personally do not do 2nd Edition builds anymore, preferring 3e now.

Suggestions?
Make Sedina stronger on land. Maybe even have super strength on top of it, remember that the kind of muscle power it takes to move quickly underwater, can translate into incredibly "strong" characters on land, who are used to the resistance (maybe even quicker). Or even more "Agile" .

Storm Weaver is missing her saving throw data. Might want to fix that.

Léa Rose Saint-Simon is a brilliant scientist and inventor, as well as the leading R&D developer for Globonetics (which is run by her father, Professor Jeanott Saint-Simon). She created and expanded on all current technologies, which led to the creation of light-based weaponry, energetic Nanite technology, and Nano-weave circuitry (which can be imbedded into cloth).

Unlike many of her coworkers, Léa is something of an eccentric person. Shy to a fault, however she has the business acumen to continue her father’s work. She worked very close with him in developing the circuitry and mechanisms necessary to create battlesuits. However it was corporate espionage that put her father in the hospital and her taking on the armor to stop the thief. And so Aurora was born.

Romantically speaking, Léa doesn’t have a love life. She could be attractive, if she put her mind to it. It would surprise many to learn, that Léa is more into women than she is into guys. However, she is far too shy to initiate things, however her personality dramatically changes when she is “Aurora." Her alter ego empowers her to do those things under anonymity, which she would be afraid to do otherwise. Most people think of her as that nerdy girl who helps runs her father’s technology firm.

It was her run in with other members of the famous hyper-human team, the Vindicator Sisters, a team of French female hyper-humans a few months back, which she has been a valuable part of ever since.

:arrow: Aurora was heavily inspired by Lady Dragonfly's namesake character.

:arrow: I wanted to create a theme-battlesuit character, and I had worked on a light-themed superhero a while back, so I took what I could from that character and applied it to Aurora. When that didn't work, I just started from scratch! :shock: :lol:

:arrow: Aurora is good friends with Mystic Maiden, Mechavixen, Jawbreaker, and Surge of the team. In fact, before any of them became superheroes, they met at a local cafe (ironically owned by French superhero French Lantern :o ).

Make Sedina stronger on land. Maybe even have super strength on top of it, remember that the kind of muscle power it takes to move quickly underwater, can translate into incredibly "strong" characters on land, who are used to the resistance (maybe even quicker). Or even more "Agile" .

Storm Weaver is missing her saving throw data. Might want to fix that.

Hm...Good idea there for Sedina having super-strength.

I probably need to create a few more powerful non-tech superheroes to balance things out. Although, the Crusaderverse is one mainly based on science and technology (as far as superpowers go), but still, I should throw in a few non-tech characters here and there.
