Gena Lorrie Hardin was born into a life of privilege and wealth. Her parents were very wealthy. She never had to want anything in her life. Her parents loved her, even after she came out of the closet. When it was discovered that Gena was gifted with a beautiful singing voice, her parents sent her to the finest schools and hired the most talented instructors and tutors. Gena’s parents never missed any of her concerts, except for one.

That one time they missed one of her concerts was the last time Gena would ever see her parents alive ever again. As it turned out, her father had learned that one of his employees was helping to finance a notorious crime syndicate, the Gear Head Gang. Instead of turning a blind eye to this discovery, Gena’s father turned him into the FBI, even though it would provide the Hardin Family with additional wealth. That was something he wanted his daughter to learn: that you should do the right thing, even if the wrong thing would benefit you.

The Gear Head Gang was not happy about this. They made an example of Gena’s parents by blowing them up with a car bomb. That day was supposed to be the happiest day of Gena’s life as she sung at her college graduation. Gena cried for days, refusing to eat or sleep. The Gear Head Gang decided to kill her as well. However, the anguish and sadness somehow triggered something in her. When the Gear Head Gang’s hired thugs tried to attack her, she struck back: with her hair! Like tentacles, she used her hair to unleash her anger and sadness on the criminals.

After she recovered from her rage, she was shocked and shaken by her newfound powers. After she calmed down, Gena realized that this was actually a good thing. She had always liked music, and people adored music stars. She figured that she could use her music, wealth, and powers to help power. Her father and mother had always enjoyed helping people, whether it was funding research for a cure for AIDS, donating money to help rebuild the homes of hurricane or earthquake victims, or sponsoring food drives to feed countless starving children around the world, so why shouldn’t she? Gena created a superhero identity, going by the name of Diva, international superhero superstar!

:arrow: That is correct. Diva was inspired by none other than White Howler's Headshot. I wanted to create a non-technology character, and I was looking around here for ideas, and when I read White Howler's Headshot build, I felt inspired.

:arrow: I mean no disrespect to White Howler in anyway, and to be honest, I plan to create a few other characters inspired by her characters. Thus, this character and the others are in a way a tribute to White Howler and her memory. May she rest in peace.

:arrow: Diva is the leader of the Songbird Girls, a superhero group inspired by White Howler's Glamour Girls.

:arrow: I used ideas from Guilty Gear's Millia Rage for Diva as well.

Lisbet Bengta was born in Norway. Her parents were talented performers, and she decided to follow in their footsteps. She tried her hand at street performance. Everything went well as she had a natural ability at it.
Then one day, when coming home from one of her performances, a truck carrying sensitive chemicals blew all four tires, turning over and spilling the chemicals all over her. The accident took place two blocks from her home.

She woke up in a hospital bed, covered in bandages. Her parents were holding her hands, praying she would pull through. The doctors were baffled at her blood tests, as her blood kept changing colors. The doctors contacted the Norwegian government’s scientists and researchers in the hopes of finding an answer. The researchers studied Lisbet. They soon discovered that the chemicals she had been exposed to were an experimental new type of dye that could change color. Her body had absorbed the chemicals, altering her physiology. They warned her parents that she may start exhibiting superpowers sooner or later.

While her parents were relieved that their daughter was alright, they were troubled by this. They still loved her, but because of her medical bills, life became difficult. Lisbet decided not to go to college like she had hoped, focusing on her street performances to help her family and their bills.

One day, the supervillain known as Hellion attacked a bank near one of her performances. When he held her mother hostage, Lisbet rescued her mother by using her newly awakened powers to dazzle him with flashing colorful lights. After he released Lisbet’s mother, Lisbet blasted him with prismatic energy, knocking him to the ground. The incident made the news.

Lisbet didn’t want to become a superhero, but the media turned her into one. They called her Sparkle.

Lisbet’s parents believed that their daughter was destined for greater things. Using what money they had, they helped her buy a passport and plane tickets to United States, hoping to make Lisbet’s dreams come true. It was a tearful goodbye as she left.

She eventually met Gena Lorrie Hardin in Atlanta, GA. Lisbet had never seen anyone so beautiful in her life. It was love at first sight for the Norwegian woman. Gena became so impressed with Lisbet, that she helped Lisbet’s parents with their debts. Lisbet’s parents, while shocked at their daughter’s sexuality, were nonetheless very proud of her when they saw her performing alongside superhero superstar Diva.

:arrow: How I wish White Howler was still with us. This is for you, White Howler!

:arrow: I used a bit of Marvel's Dazzler and Jubilee in here as well.

:arrow: Yes, the name is weird, but hey! Coming up with superhero names isn't easy!

Eléonore Nadine Ménard was born in Arles, France. However, when she was going to high school, Eléonore and her older sister and cousin, Felice and Thérèse moved to Paris and stayed in an apartment. All three of them dreamed of entering the world of fashion: Thérèse wanted to go into modeling, Felice wanted to be a fashion designer, and Eléonore wanted to become a fashion journalist.

However, destiny had other plans for Eléonore. When they were visiting a science expo for a high school class, a battle erupted between French Lantern and the supervillain Shade Meister. A nearby magnetic generator and a gravity field emitter exploded, with Eléonore caught in the resulting explosion. When Eléonore came too, she saw that her cousin and sister were trapped under the rumble. While struggling to free them, her newly bestowed powers over magnetism and gravity allowed her to move the debris and rescued her family. It was quite the experience for all three of them.

As time went on, Eléonore began to learn how to control her powers. She thought it would be fun trying her hand at being a superhero. However, during her first outings, she wore a hoodie and a bandana. Her sister and cousin were mortified! They refused to allow Eléonore to go out again looking like some sort of redneck American punk superhero. Eléonore was embarrassed as well, as she admitted that it was the worst fashion design of her life! The three Ménards decided to design a suit worthy of a French superheroine. They created the perfect costume. Eléonore eventually was able to figure out how to use magnetic and gravitic energies to instantly transform into her costume.

With her new costume, Eléonore became Polarity, Mistress of Magnetism and Gravity!

:arrow: Decided on an energy controller for the fourth member of the Vindicator Sisters. Couldn't decide between gravity and magnetism, so I went with both! :o

:arrow: Polarity is a fashion enthusiast and her ability to spot terrible fashion ideas in her enemies just drives her opponents up the walls!

:arrow: Her gravitic powers when combined with her magnetic powers makes her very powerful in a fight.

:arrow: Now for the fifth member of the Vindicator Sisters: Jawbreaker! Please! PLEASE! Help me think of a better name!

Nadége Gaudet d'Allemagne was born in Lille, France. She has two brothers and three sisters. Nadége was not only talented in sports, but also mathematics. After graduating high school, Agnès left to attend classes in Paris in the hopes of becoming a famous ecologist. During her studies, Agnès discovered a unique mathematical formula that would allow her to channel her vast intellect into a physical form. So when she concentrates, she becomes the powerhouse known as Jawbreaker.

:arrow: Decided to go ahead and keep both her name and picture. After some thought, I actually like the name and picture.

:arrow: I got the name from the old Crooks! villain Jawbreaker.

:arrow: She is actually Belgian/French.

:arrow: Jawbreaker was modeled after Lady Dragonfly's Tetra character. I added some other powers to make her unique though.

:arrow: Jawbreaker loves pizza, and is about the only thing she'll eat meat with.

:arrow: Since her power is mind over matter, I figured that Jawbreaker needed to have some mental powers as well.

:arrow: Gave Jawbreaker a boxing fighting style as I thought giving her boxing skills might make her unique and not another She-Hulk carbon copy.

I approve of the picture- strong chicks rule. "Jawbreaker" is a pretty decent name for a character too, though "Jawdropper" may be more appropriate :). I like the characters, and it made me go through some of the other threads (like White Howler's, which I think I haven't read since she died four years ago).

I might go ahead and keep Jawbreaker's name and pic now that I've given them some thought.

I'm working on a couple more heroes and villains.

Tonight, I'll be posting the final member of the Vindicator Sisters as well as some background to the all-female French team in addition to the other members of Squadron Omega, a few more members of the Hero Legion and some members of the Usurper Enclave.

I agree with ladydragonfly and Gilliam about your new characters. Diva's picture really matches her Diva Singer theme especially.

Thank you! Now, I have to figure out about the other two members of the Songbird Girls. White Howler had two characters named Style and Runway of her Glamour Girls, but she never got the chance to finish them.

I'm not sure what Style and Runway were supposed to be.

Anyhow, I'm still working on the last member of the Vindicator Sisters. But in the meantime, I'm going to post a villain, Dr. War! After Malice was killed by Colonel Solar, Dr. War stepped in and took over leadership of the Usurper Enclave.

Origin:

Dr. War was once Dr. James Porter, a brilliant military researcher. However, Dr. Porter was too much involved in his work. His inventions became deadlier and more dangerous over time, so much that a politician had the military fire Dr. Porter. The reason for the scientist’s deadly inventions was that Dr. Porter had become dangerously deranged. Dr. Porter snapped when his funding was cut and his job lost. Dr. Porter dropped off the radar for three years. When he returned, he had become the warmongering anarchist, Dr. War! Dr. War saw the government as a barrier that prevented humanity from becoming the greatest warriors in existence. Dr. War sought to plunge the world into a never-ending war with him as the major producer of the conflict’s arsenals. Dr. War battled heroes from over a dozen nations in his mad quest to create a world of conflict and warfare.

Later, he was recruited by Malice to assist the Nazi supersoldier in creating powerful weapons for his armies. When the heroes of the world defeated Malice, Dr. War relocated, leaving chaos and misery in his wake as well as taking over leadership of the Usurper Enclave. He is one of the most feared super-villains in the world.

However, his insanity maybe his undoing as he has antagonized several terrorist groups, especially in the Middle East after he held the entire city of Jerusalem hostage with the use of a chemical weapon. Luckily, several Middle Eastern superheroes banded together, in spite of their differences, and foiled his plans, even though Dr. War escaped.

He is still at large.

:arrow: Dr. War is insanity incarnate, and his schemes grow more complex and convoluted as his sanity slowly erodes.

:arrow: He usually has several terrorists or hired mercenaries as minions, but they are loyal to him out of money and fear. Given the chance, they'll abandon him at the drop of a hat due to his insanity. He has begun to create robotic minions who will not abandon him.

:arrow: He is constantly on the lookout for any of the other Usurper Enclave members who may want to overthrow him and take over leadership of the Enclave.

Agnès Mei Lin Carlier was born in Besançon, France. She was the daughter of a French music conductor and a Chinese opera singer. Agnès was not only talented in music, but also science. After graduating high school, Agnès left to attend classes in Paris in the hopes of becoming a famous violinist. During her studies, Agnès created and discovered a unique crystal formation that when applied with sonic energies would allow one to create and control crystals. She designed a special suit to aid her in her research. It was not her intention to use the suit to become a superhero.

A scientist named Professor Alphonse Naveau was working on his own device in order to study sonic vibrations. However, when a lab accident resulted in a massive explosion, Agnès watched as one of rescuers pulled him from the rubble. However, Professor Naveau’s mind had become warped as the explosion had bombarded his body and mind with intense sonic energies.
Calling himself, Shatterstrike, He later attacked one of Agnès’s teachers as the teacher had warned Professor Naveau of the dangers of his experiments. Agnès put on her suit to save her classmates and professor. She was able to stop Shatterstrike. The media called her Sonic Crystal.

Agnès was troubled by this, but she decided that it gave her a chance to help people as that was what the suit was designed for.

:arrow: I remembered that I did some stuff for a crystal controller, and I threw in some sonic powers.

:arrow: She is able to absorb sonic energy to enhance her crystal powers, mainly her blast powers.

:arrow: Sonic Crystal is a music lover and prefers classical music over rock'n'roll.
