Thanks for the links, Lynn! Those links will help me when I get to sketching the characters. It's interesting to me how everyone in the podcast turned in some kind of image of their character to help me out. I usually am working off text-only descriptions for the artwork. :)

Great job on the podcast. The heroes are very well done and make me realize that I need to be demanding more from players. LoL

The group fit together nicely and It was a breath of fresh air to see the ease at which they all got together and how smoothly they work as a team. I am a big nerd when it comes to fleshing out origin and background of characters so I was impressed with the effort your players made in that regard, very well done.

Looking forward to more Astonishing Tales from Beacon City.

Thanks, Mogo! I appreciate the moral support, specially from you. :)

I'm looking forward to the next game because I've had time to cook up some really great scenarios based around the backgrounds and personalities of the characters. :)

It is support sprinkled with amazement. Trust me. I am still wide eyed you got everyone together on Memorial Day and the game went smoothly to boot when compared to mine. :D

I have been slowly but steadily getting my group to listen to the podcasts as a school lesson of sorts.Trying to get my group to act in harmony and to create cinematic situations is a full time job. I need all the help my overworked brain can get. LoL

We all seem to be butting heads like rival goats around here lately.

Complications

Motivation: Recoginition/ Knowing he will be dead in five years time, Jeremy wants to use these new abilities to make sure he will be remembered.

Reckless: With the mindset that he will die in the year 2017(five years from when the Chronometer attached itself to him), he is agressively reckless.
Impatient: Feeling like his time is limited, as well as being able to move and think faster than most people, he is very impatient.

Secret: He actually has no real idea what all this device can do, but he tries to act like he knows what he's doing.

Auxillary Characters:

Janice Franklin(adopted sister):

Image
Age: 25
Janice and Jeremy are very close, but even so he has not confided in her about the device. She has no idea he is leading a second life as a costumed hero.

Ron Ron Taylor(Life Long Best Friend):
Image
Age: 29
Gregarious, impulsive, jocular, & loyal, Ron Ron has always been a catalyst for excitement in Jeremy's life. Even if it's just getting him in a bad situation, Ron Ron is always interesting.

Brian Franklin(Father):
Image
Age 49
A clinical social worker, Mr Franklin has always been very work focused while his wife picked up the slack at home. After his wife died a year ago, he has made a more concentrated effort to make a connection with his two children. Somewhat absent minded, but with good intentions, Brian & Jeremy love each other but don't often agree.

Jeremy Franklin has always just coasted through life with no real focus or drive.

A single child in a common middle class family in Atlanta, Ga, Jeremy was an average kid beyond a little extra attention from the girls.

After High school he got a summer job as a telemarketer, but ended up staying there for 9 years.

On a day off(Feb 17th 2012), Jeremy was walking downtown on his way to meet a young lady who had just started working at the call center. They were going to meet at the Perk Up Coffee House.

Only about a block away from the cafe while passing an alley, Jeremy heard someone cry out, and from the corner of his eye he saw a brilliant blast of purple and yellow.

Instinctively, he moved into the alley only to see a man in an overcoat reach towards him before his glowing body started to disintegrate. A golden timepiece fell from the air where his outstreached hand had been.

When he reached down and touched it, he found himself frozen in time. He could only watch in terror as the timepiece opened and clockwork spider legs grew from the opening.

It started to crawl up his hand, and then attached itself to his wrist, locking its legs down tight in a beautiful pattern.

The first thing that happened when it attached to him was a flash of his own death, exactly five years in the future.

He saw a room in a highrise building that was very lavish. He saw a television on the wall showing the news, which showed the date Feb 17th, 2017.

There was a big table in the centre of the room, and it had a box that had been wrapped with some beautiful paper and ribbon.

He then saw himself in a strange costume bust into the room, grab the box, jump through the window in a blur just in time to explode outside in a huge burst from the bomb in the box.

Not knowing where this came from, who it's former owner was, or what all it can really do, he feels completely overwhelmed. He does know one thing though. The flash of his future was no trick. He knows it was real.

During the next few months he experiments with the device and unlocks some of the most basic effects that it is capable of.

He can accelerate time around himself to make him seem super fast. He can reverse time as well, and has healed people from wounds by touching the wound and reversing time. The more he uses the device, the more he feels comfortable with it's power while still wondering why it came into his possession.

Thinking he is going to die soon anyway, he decides to make a name for himself as one of these costumed heroes. He figured he had already seen himself dressed like them, so why fight fate. His fate was to die, so he decided he might as well die well known

He reproduces the costume he saw from his vision of the future and he starts to try and help the authorities in Atlanta with the crime problem there. While he is still a novice, he has already collected his own rogues gallery of villains who terrorize the south. These include Mosquito, Shaper, The Yak, & Prob Con.

While he still only has limited experience, he is gaining more with each adventure. More important for him though is the carrot of finding more info on the device now attached to him.

After stopping a gang of mercenaries claiming to be members of The Legion of Skulls, he somehow finds himself at a train station.

Confused, he starts to leave when he hears a voice behind him.

"You want.. to know more.. about that... thing right? If so... come with me." The mysterious figure starts to step onto a train that suddenly pulls into the station.

"I have... your ticket."

Timeslip says, "What do you mean? What's going on here?"

The man says "We are going... where you need.. to be."

Timeslip shrugs his shoulders and with his curiosity peaked, he steps onto the train.

To be continued in the 'Beacon City Campaign'!
