Power Armor/Mobile Armor like this one? Suggestions?

I'm trying to make a power armor/mobile armor like the red one featured in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sRxf9GDY0w

An excellent anime by the way.

I want to use 2e rules. Any ideas or suggestions?

Well, you've got your basic speed, maybe superspeed power. High toughness and either increased strength, strike, or a slam attack at first. You might want to add a handling penalty, since it can't turn on a dime. Maybe add an AP of speed/leaping or flight off of the armor, to show that it can jettison the armor to move more quickly.

thats rpetty much what i saw too.

its base form was a tank like form high toughness but also solid defence too because he was able to avoid a couple of attacks. Even with the armor though it was incredibly fast and strong enough to demolish one of the enemy mechs in one hit.

When he jetisoned the armor though he went into super speeds and wa smuch more agile and defencive though not as tough but still was able to dish out enough punishment that if he hadnt puleld back he would have cut Zess's mech in half easilly.

Probably Alternate Forms with One-Way Transformation

You could also use the Mechamorph feature, with the second "form" losing the high impervious toughness and slam attack, but gaining the increased maneuverability, speed and swords. That combined with a moderate One-way Transformation (since it looks like one would need several hours and a workshop to get back to the original form) seems like a good representation for the mech in the video.

P.S. That looks like a very cool anime, I'll have to check it out.

I watched the episode again, and found that the original form is the one without the heavy armor while the second form is the one with the heavy armor. Hm...I wonder how you would make this using 2e rules. I can't get it to work right using the Mecha&Manga rules.
