Crystal Eruption and other Crystal powers

I'm trying to create a hero who can control crystals.

For example, she can cause a bunch of crystal spikes to erupt from the ground, to fire crystal shards at enemies, and to create a crystal shield.

The last two are pretty easy (crystal blast and the crystal shield, with the shield being ablative), but the first one is what is giving me some problems. I'm not sure if I should use create object or blast. Which is easier to write up?

Also, what other types of crystal-like powers do you suggest?

well the answers pretty self explanatory honestly.

If your just making a crystal pop out of the ground then yeah create object is appropriate. If an attack then blast with indirect from below, or similar. If its a snare then a snare.

as to other powers, various blasts come to mind, Defelction of energy attacks (crystal refraction), Snares (crystal trap), Strikes (Crystal blades, weapons and claws) Energy absorption (crystal energy matrix), Sight based powers (Crytal lenses), Summons (crystal golem) Teleportation (crystal melding), Illusions (Crytsal mirror or holograms)

those are just a few ideas.

Also the crystals them selves can have various meanings and mystic interpretations. Some of those can be used as inspriration.

spikes from the ground=blast, indirect, limitation=only affects foes on ground (maybe).
Other powers=eidetic memory or mental quickness (silicon for brain circuits), Concealment, Visual (refractive index=0), create object, move object (limited crystalline only), growth or shrinking, density, visual dazzle, comprehend machines (limited=electronic only), nullify technology (EMP pulse)....

Rather than simply stabbing the target, Inviktus is envisaging spikes erupting around the target forming a cage that shatters into razor sharp shrapnel when broken.

For Crystal refraction I'm guessing I could stat it as this: Crystal Refraction 6 (Deflect [PF: Interpose; Extras: Reflection 2, Redirection 2; Flaws: Limited [Energy Attacks -1])

Depending on what you mean by crystal barriers, yes.

Yes, Create works for that. If you want fine details, you should add Precise.
