Inks and Flat Colors placed for Night Devil, another character from Black Chapter.



The Colors and original concept for the design are mine (from a character concept by Jack Norris). The Inks are by Jesse Justice, and the original pencils are Denise Jones.

This is the first time I think I've worked with this many people to bring a character to life. Exciting!!

I love this guy's look. It reminds me of the old Manhunter series DC put out in the late 80's.

There was a conscious effort to emulate Marc Shaw's look, so good on you for seeing the homage!

I'm a big fan of that Manhunter, the art from that series really popped for me.

Alex did the inks and pencils this time, I just colored. It came out with a very "80's" vibe, I think:

I love the character in the seat reading... you really don't see many who are wearing Spats anymore! I love that touch.
