I do not recall spending or earning a Hero point, so 1 sounds right. I'm assuming that we should wait until we're out of the House to spend points?

Welcome to the Super Reality, Artificer and Hottie!

PS. Hippo vs. Topiary creature = pure win.

Yeah, I just wanted to get that out there before I forgot to mention it.

Glad you liked the hippo gambit Fell. Although Ranger has lost serious catch phrase points.....
And with the expenditure of the hero point to surge, that puts me at none.

So it looks like this is the beginning of Round 2, and that both of the topiary lions have been mulched. Is that correct?

Yeah, the Topiary Lions aren't really much of a challenge for all four of you together so that got scrapped. They were only PL5.

The Sisters are way tougher.

re: The previous rounds combat... Pompadour struck Julie (DC 23 toughness save) and then used the Improved Grab feat, that allows him to grab in the same round as he strikes. I'm not sure if I can apply damage immediately after a successful grapple check or not.

...which is to say that his mega-hair makes Pompadour's grapple pretty nasty... and I can get a lot of mileage out of the Improved Grab feat.

I'd sort of like to get our new players involved ASAP, so that we don't lose them to inaction... I'd say they ought to run Big G and Valkyr, except that Big G is already MIA.

Don't worry, you aren't going to loose me to inaction. I am enjoying watching the battle from the comfort of my living room for now :)

Good to hear, Mister J. If it does start taking too long, though, we could always have the Hottie and Artifice provide in-character color commentary on the footage.

I didn't even notice that he hit her, I thought it was just your attack roll and then the grapple check. In the future after we describe what we're doing let then open a quote box and then write in clearly what we want our character to do I would also like your rolls to be in the quote box. I also think that I would prefer for everyone to make one roll at a time. I know that Invisible castle can roll mutliple rolls but for ease of reference I would prefer just one at a time.

Pompadour gets a Hero Point for me not noticing his attack. I'm not going to go back and put it in now, I'm sorry.

I guess my last combat post was kind of confusing. Probably adding an OOC box with all the actions spelled out at the end would be better.

I don't want to be a complainer. My previous post wasn't intended to tell you you screwed up, wah-wah-wah... I had a hunch you missed that I'd attacked and grabbed, so wanted to clarify -equally possible was that she just wasn't hurt. I'm feeling a little "over-compensated" if that makes any sense. I think that the rules recommend that you fix something if you can do it without screwing up continuity, or award a hero-point if you can't. I guess I feel a little like I may have bullied you, because I'm getting a "fix" and a hero point, and that wasn't my intention at all... and now I feel like I'm telling you how to run your game, which I don't wanna do either...

Have a GM Point for having to deal with me. :)

But the thing is you're not getting a fix. I'm not going back and writing in that attack for the previous round so the rules do call for you to get a Hero point.

Right handling the combat rounds and everything is a learning experience for me, I'm trying it this way at the moment but next time I might just not post the Initiative more order and just post a write up of the action after all of you have posted. I'm still trying to figure out the easiest and smoothest way for me to do it for this game. There will be kinks and I'll rely on you guys to let me know when I've missed or screwed something up.

I'm not going to get huffy or defensive over it, if I've done something wrong I'd rather be told about it so I can fix it if I can and if I can't I'll work around it.
