Actually, plotwise this game has a lot of open threads that could be followed.

--Dirty cops. Ace dirty cops to boot.

--A monumentally powerful Russian mobster (StalinGeroi/Steel Hero) who's hung up on Alix.

--The Twisted Fist terrorists who crashed the military transport with the WC virus into the Republic Plaza/World Trade Center, setting off the Denver outbreak.

--What the heck was the military doing with a payload of WC virus anyway?

--A potential conflict with Marsh Petrochemical...assuming I decide to involve them in overtly evil enterprise.

And of course anything else that might pop up during the pursuit of any investigation. I tend to get pretty free with the dangling plot threads as you might have noticed over the last couple years. I just don't want the game to wither away. I'd rather bring it to a decent close with the heroes standing tall as the credits roll, you know what I mean?

Let me know when Art and Alix get back to the group.

Honestly, I think searching the houses near them is an extra step. I mean, the cops would have done that and we have a bazillion things pointing us toward the assistant. We have the phone number too. (You all don't exactly know that yet) I'd like to set that trap, investigate the house, and focus our groups on those two things. Searching for more is, I think, going to drag this out more.

{nods} The lack of corroborating information does kind of hamper us. There's also the partial problem of that we're a private agency with no real authority to conduct a commando raid of the property.

One possibility, and it would probably require editing the scene and wouldn't work as Angela suggesting it, would be if we could come in as bond agents for one of the children. Surely one of them's been in trouble with the law and, as I recall, bond agents don't need a warrant to break into a place in reasonable pursuit of a subject.

Exactly. That's what I worry about also. We're not 'legitimate' except to exterminate and disappear. I mean, unless we get the police involved. That might be worth it, get the cops involved and be present in case they can't handle it.

It would allow us to strengthen our bond with the Fong and Tafoya and puts us on the right side of wrong. Especially after the helicopter fiasco. I don't think we can afford another event like that.

So, I make a motion to call the police agents, show them what we've got as evidence, and point them in the right direction. We then assist them in the raid of the home, being present and taking action only if needed. (Which I'm sure we will be. :D)

*Sigh* So...I'm waffling on the whole "ending the campaign" thing. As much as participation from the entire group hasn't been dynamic for awhile now, I just can't seem to bring myself to write a final ending to this thing. Not to mention "paragons" type campaigns seem to be all the rage and this setting was paragons when paragons wasn't cool.

I'm reluctant to try to recruit any more players for permanent spots since we ostensibly have a group of 7, but with macguffin out for health reasons, Bluecross on vacation and Mark Reuter...heavily involved in his play, I'm guessing, it feels like the cast has gotten a little anemic.

Maybe I'll try to land some guest stars.

One thing is for certain, IF the campaign continues after this adventure is wrapped up, I'm raising the PL to 9, so peoples' caps will raise and the next adventure will center around one of Larry's subplots.

Thoughts? Comments? Name of a good therapist near me?

That excites me. :mrgreen:

I honestly think we just need to wrap this whole scene up, though. Unless we're WAY off the mark on this conclusion, I think we need a big ol' push from the GM to get those phone calls made and the traps set, and then just do it. If that means calling in the big guns instead of the local ones, Art is fine with it. I guess I forget that we have larger backing than local police relations and a crazy lawyer and boss lady with deep pockets.

My arm is out of the cast and I have a swanky new scar. I have pretty good range of motion, though I am unable to lift much, and could join back in.
