Everyone: As part of the team talks about how to get the newly located Sister several panels in the ceiling and walls slide open to allow thick, metalic tentacles with wicked looking claws on the ends to extend out into the room and immediately try to wrap themselves about all of you.

Gotta have a bit of reasoning as to how the two characters would combine their very different styles of 'porting before signing off on it.

I figured someone like Doctor Shock is going to have the fully loaded hidden base.

Vindicator
HP: 0
Condition: Naughty tentacles!!!

"GAHH!! Naughty tentacles!!" Eva blurted out as she dived back from one and blasted another to keep them off her.

She had a bad flashback to the time that twit Takahashi used a robotic tentacle monster as his idea of flirting with her.

Lina "Aurora" Howe
HP: 1 LP: 1
Condition: All wrapped up

Aurora was looking the other direction when the steel tentacles came out of the walls. She tried to dodge one, but that lead her right into the grasp of another. She let out a foul curse in a language that only one man in this universe spoke with any fluency.

They stood, and earth's foundations stay;

And saved the sum of things for pay.

Liz was lost in thought when the tentacle grabbed at her, easily getting caught. A moment later, she had recovered and a flash of light surrounded her as she tried to teleport free.

Reflex save (1d20 + 7=14)
I'm hoping teleportation gets me right out of it. If so, she'll try to blast anyone else free. Precise on her Shadow Bolt should make it pretty easy.

H4ck: Before the tentacles set upon you, your set of other eyes shows you that following the room with all the medical tech is a long hallway that has sporadically placed doors.

All of which are closed, which allows the orb to continue on down the hall at a decent rate considering the speed that it is able to travel but it the opening of a door that draws the attention of the orb as the man with bits of tech bio-welded to his face makes his way into the hall at a respectable pace, no doubt driven by the sounding alarm.

He stops in his tracks at the sight of the orb and for a moment he simply stares at it, obviously trying to figure out exactly what it might be before moving back the way it came. As he retraces the orb’s path you just manage to hear something he says.

“Doctor, there is a manifestation of psionic energy in hallway 4. It’s now plausible that the new subjects have managed to free themselves, I am heading to Lab 7 now to investigate. I recommend the release of Talion, Octaman, Hyena, Mongoose, Salamander, Primeape and Caballo with instructions to connect with me there.”

You can’t make out what Doctor Shock’s reply was as the man had traveled to far away for your orb.

K-9
Condition: agile
HP 1

The robotic tentacle snaked forward and made a grab for the furry hero, unfortunately for it, or fortunately for K-9 his reaction speed was not dulled at all by his recent trials. Rolling under the mechanical marauder, he snarled. "K-9 had enough now! Take sister and go! K-9 have words with Dr. Spock!" With that he lunged toward the exit, fully intending on shredding his way through it and any obstacle on his way to the mis-identified villain.

Reflex save. 1d20+8=25. Do I need to roll his attack on the door? It would be hilariously embarrassing if he missed.

H4ck
HP: 0
Condition: Fine

H4ck blinked, his phantom spy reappearing next to him before it merged with the mentalist again "We have company, tha tech bloke saw 'me'." he said, the mechanical trap springing a moment later.
Jason just smirked as his body went insubstantial and a whip-like appendege swiped through him.

Susan West - Dovetail
HP: 1 Condition: Fine

Susan deftly slipped out of the reach of several tentacles with a minimum of effort. She was relieved that they had been able to open the pod so easily but they had another issue now. Someone had to carry the nun through the facility since it didn't seem like they were going to be able to teleport her out of here. Since the impossibly fast man was on his way now it looked like this was going to be a running fight for the exit.

"Argus you're carrying the Sister." She calmly ordered as a fistful of Doves-Feathers at the base of the tentacles that were wrapped around Aurora, "Aurora, I want the Sister and Argus shielded from here on out. They have your full attention."

Ranged attack (1d20+13=23) DC22 toughness save.

Argus

reflex=1d20+8=21
Lou Heard his orders and shadow stepped to the nun Picking her up and in a blur was back to were he had started of the group he looked round the room for a source of water unsure he would be able to teleport back to the start of the sewers they had entered Or if he could return for that matter. Looking down at the nun he again tryed to read her for powers that might be of use to them.

Everyone: Amid the chaos of the newly appeared tentacles several things happen;
Dovetail, K-9, Vindicator, H4ck and Argus manage to keep themselves free of being wrapped up while Warshade and Aurora are quickly wrapped up by the tentacles that had targeted them.

Warshade manages to free herself almost immediately from being ensnared by teleporting herself free while K-9 finally gives in to his frustrations and launches himself at the other door, tearing through it easily with his claws. Dovetail focused on freeing the only remaining member of the team that was trapped as she told her and Argus to take care of the freed nun and the trench coated member wasted no time in removing the unconscious Sister from the tech covered bubble she‘d been held in as Aurora moved to give him whatever protection she deemed needed and Argus quickly realizes that there isn't a large enough amount of water that he can use to make a portal to get the knocked-out nun and himself through.

OOC wrote:I‘m fine with Warshade‘s teleport free trick.
K-9 Doesn‘t need to roll an attack on the door and I‘m willing to hand-wave his smashing through it for dramatic purpose.
Dovetail’s attack on the tentacles that grabbed Aurora hits and does enough damage to thrash them into uselessness, freeing Aurora.
Argus doesn‘t pick up any sign of the Sister having any form of superhuman powers at all.

At this point everyone basically has one turn to do with as they please before the ‘Tech Guy’ H4ck spotted makes his way to the room where everyone was originally being held.

I‘ll be trying to work up a map here shortly, since it‘s looking like that would be pretty helpful at this point, hopefully I‘ll have it done by tomorrow.

ELIZABETH. DOVETAIL'S TRAP...

Holy shh.... you're right.

"Everyone get clear of that room! The door is rigged to blow! Argus, get the Sister out the door!"
Liz pointed at the door, flashed over to it and turned to cover everyone as they went through.

I don't know how big an explosion it's going to be but I'm guessing our original room isn't big enough to contain it. I assume a full turn's movement should be enough for us to get out the door K-9 smashed right?

Looking down at the Nun she looked a little more at ease now he thought.......

Oh SHIT ..he turned as fast as he could having forgotten about the trap layed in preperation . Drawing again into his mind Lou raised his foot and as it touched the floor he was through the door not making it as far as normal having to strafe around the others .

Vindicator
HP: 0
Condition: Helpin her buddy

Eva wasnt going to argue that one, booby trapped door and bad guys on the way? It was time to exit the premises. Eva lifted off and did a quick fly by grabbing Dovetail as she did and flying her out of the room and up the hallway.

Lina "Aurora" Howe
HP: 1 LP: 1
Condition: Ok

Aurora sighed in relief as the grasping tendrils were scrapped. "Thank you Dovetail." she said as she picked Chinook up off the ground.

hate. Hate. HATE! Tentacles. Going to send Shock through a WALL when I see him next!

The mage ran after the Argus carrying the nun and pointed Chinook at her. The blue gem pulsed and it said "Barrière." There was no other obvious effect.

Deflect Active, and staying right next to the Nun.
